You shouldn't need to completely power up a weapon aspect to get a Clear with it at low heat. I think you have to spend a certain amount (5?) of Titan Blood per weapon to have the possibility to have the conditions to unlock the last aspect appear.

What I did was spend the blood to be able to use each of the different aspects, as I think there's a prophesy associated with that. After that, I just powered stuff up a little bit as needed if I was trying to get a successful run.

Got a clear on a 1 heat Guan Yu run! Went hard in on the Dash Strike. First boon was the hammer for 3 hit dash strike. Before Tartarus was over I had 2 more boons, 1 from Chaos, that each gave +90+ to dash strike. Needless to say, I was a dashing fool that run and avoided over using the spin strike. Plus that Artemis call is pretty damned nice!

Then I got my 10th clear...
which gives the true ending/epilogue. I was actually kind of pissed I didn't get to fight Hades at the end of that run, though I guess it was nice that we got a happy ending.. I had life steal on the sword and some obscenely high back stab damage. I'm not certain if he just let me pass because it was my 10th clear or if it was just a random thing.

I think I've done about 34 runs total. I'm feeling pretty satisfied, so I'm not sure if I'll really put more time in with this. Yes, I do still have side stories/prophecies I could do, not to mention weapon aspects and helper trinkets to unlock, but I've kind of lost my impetus to continue the grind.

I don't think you can really compare hedge fund managers and CEOs to your "rank and file" programmers and the like. Most of those truly do benefit (many to a tremendous monetary extent) from the success of their company.

With that said, how many of those same higher ups are completely mal-adjusted people, precisely BECAUSE they put work over personal life. Marriages falling apart, addiction issues, etc. Do you really think on their death bed those people are happy they spent 30 extra hours a week making more money instead of spending time with their family?

I simply cannot agree with the notion that success must be a product of the time you put in.

The idea that we should all be wage slaves, so that the company can benefit is nonsense. God forbid someone is a single parent and has to take care of their kid during the crunch. Clearly, without being able to devote their every waking hour to the company, it shows their terrible ethics in putting family before work. Fire them on the spot.

There are definitely some improvements (especially the minigames between jobs) but it just feels really soulless and lacking compared to the first game. It also has a pretty awful ending with the last few assassins.

I haven't played them since they originally came out, so take this with a grain of salt.

I LOVED the first NHM and I think it was my favorite game the year it came out.

I HATED NHM2. I was hyped up about it and got it just before a winter storm shut down work for a few days. So I was all ready for this game but it was severely disappointing.

this was a lot of fun. not pictured is all the boons that helped survivability. aphro/athena/dio/demeter is basically the perfect 4 gods to get as far as survivability boons and i lucked into it. but the hades fight was fun, basically shooting charged specials at him until he approached, when i would dash strike behind him and shoot more skewers, and then when he would go impervious or vanish, charge up the spin attack. i would have maybe preferred to have aphro on the special and demeter on the attack instead of the opposite that i got (because aphro has higher damage boost) but it worked just fine

one fun thing fighting hades, i caught him about to launch into the full screen laser spin and hit him with a max charged spin attack and it interrupted him from ever actually doing the attack. i had dashed away to avoid it and didn't need to

also special shoutout to the dio boon that makes fountains restore all health and gives a permanent damage bonus for each one. i got that early and it saved my ass

I think your build was pretty similar to what mine was on that failed run, other than the Hammer choices. I had an opportunity to take the 3 strike dash and stupidly didn't because I tend not to be a big dash striker. Of course, like you said, for the Spear it's actually a really great and important attack.

I had also gotten that Fountain boost boon early but it was only 3% per instead of 5% as I've gotten in the past. Naturally I hit 2 extra fountains and had the damn thing up to 18%!

Definitely have to give the Guan Yu another, smarter run.

I'm up to 8 clears now (in 31 attempts) after adding a 1 heat Chiron Bow run. I kinda like that weapon a lot, though the fight against Hades was a little closer than I would have liked. Had Demeter on Attack and Dio on Special. I realized by the end that it probably would have been better the opposite as I had a lot of Demeter boons that could have ripped things apart when your Special hits 5 times each strike.

Ditto. Even before this I was only going to the office 2 days a week but it's so damn nice to have a 0 minute commute. I expect they're going to push having us come in at least 1 day a week so they can "see our face" but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

If we were permanent work from home, I don't see why we'd all have to continue to live in such a high cost area (though I do really like where I live). Why not move someplace cheaper and then, if necessary, fly in for a day or two if something NEEDS to be done "in person".

Citizens United has to be the most controversial, but it didn't generate much backlash because it had no visible impact on daily life for most people. Really, I don't think any potential SCOTUS decisions would turn people against the court as much as overturning the ACA. Most constitutional issues just have too little direct impact on most people to cause any large-scale outrage.

This was my thought too. Money has corruptly destroyed politics.

If Trump had had an even vaguely competent reaction to COVID, it's more than likely he would have won this election (and I hate having to say that). Pretend like it's a major issue, wear a mask, shut things down for a few months, etc. Basically most of the same things we did, just with the backing of our national leader.

He could have then claimed that we were all in this together, blah blah blah, and that the economy will come back. And people would have believed him because he would have looked like he was TRYING.

Instead, he's been an incompetent boob who took, with the words coming out of his own idiot mouth, "no responsibility at all".

If you're a leader, you take the blame and cover for the people under you, even if it's not really your fault. That engenders trust and a bond with those in authority that they have your back when you need it most. But Trump doesn't care about anyone other than Trump and expects the exact opposite.

Yeah, so last night went about as well as expected...

The Giants shit the bed in the last few minutes and killed any chance of relevance this season.

Trump "won" the debate, in as much as he wasn't the complete cartoon failure he was last time. I just assume 80% of everything he says is a lie but that hardly seems to matter any more for hm. In reality, I don't think that debate moves the needle at all, and I'm glad to see some "instant polls" show the split at essentially the polling averages. But I'm still super nervous for Nov 3rd because the race WILL tighten and with the way things have gone you just never know.

I get that you have no problem with it personally, but it's possible to criticize it. I also get that gamers don't understand that it's possible to criticize a game that you like. If you want to read about how the game is perfect for 100+ hours I can link you no less than a dozen articles about that. But I want to post something you haven't read.

And yeah I just hit 25 hours in the game. Absolutely no complaints about the quality or the value of the game right now.

That's a problem with a lot of things in our world now. Everything is black and white; it's "amazing and the best thing ever" or "it sucks, how could you like that". It's truly ridiculous, especially when my reaction to 90% of stuff (whether it's games, movies, food, whatever) is "that was fine, that was ok". You know, that middle of the road opinion.

Got my first clear with the Bow last night. Had a strong Aphrodite/Dionysus build that was just shredding. Still need clears for Spear, Fists, and Gun.
