Nor should they really, UK wants out, they can go, the EU doesn't have to give them any kind of deal. It will wreck the economy of the country. Especially London, whose economy is based on cheap labor from eastern europea. EU countries. The Scottish Nationalist party has already started calling for a new independence referendum so they can be their own country and rejoin the EU. Northern Ireland will likely hold a referendum to join Ireland (also an EU nation). When brexit finally does happen the Scots will demand another referendum on whether they wish to remain in the UK, and it's highly likely that the Scots, pissed off by a brexit they overwhelmingly opposed, this time will vote to leave. Northern Ireland has already said they don't want a closed border with Ireland again, and also voted against brexit, will probably follow the Scottish out of the UK. These two things combined with the damage to the London economy (which is heavily based on cheap EU migrant labor from Eastern Europe) will bring about serious damage to the English economy.
