You know. The ones about as big as a thumb height-wise? When I was in Maryland with my Korean friend, her father would drink them. They let me try some and I thought they were great. They had Korean writing and all that on the side and the liquid was like..... orangish.

I went to an Asian food mart today and looked around and saw them again, but in Chinese text. A while back, I saw them at another market in Japanese text. All the same kinds of drinks.

Is this like.... the secret elixir of the Asians on how to not age? I bought a pack of five today because I believe I found it.

I've seen at least one Asian male skater, one Asian female skater, the Shibutani siblings, and that is just skating alone. Just looked at the top list for female snowboarding and Chloe Kim topped it it seems.

It's kind of strange in a sense, but I think it is pretty rad.

They shouldn't. I know someone who hid his pursuit of a GED and when he got it, he posted it on Facebook afraid of what people would say. Everyone was cheering for him. I think it takes massive determination to get it. School, you are kind of forced through unless you drop, so you are almost guaranteed a diploma. To get a GED, you have to actually be willing and damn determined for those. Props to him.

I'm sorry, but that's so stupid. The idea of this is performance. Romance-ish or not, it is a play, not reality. I'm just happy they kick enough ass apparently that they can still win.

It's pretty much a societal values thing. Imagine being a judge and writing on your scorecard "I could really feel the romantic passion between the two". I'm guessing no judge wants to write that unless there were some redneck figure-skating competition somewhere. Plus figure skating has already has it's share of scandals & criticism. The last thing they want is accusations they promote incest.

It's too bad since all things being the same and they weren't related, they'd probably be the best in the world since they could use the romantic element. It's pretty damn impressive they've done so well despite that.

See, call me what you want, but I'd have no problem saying that. They are acting and I can respect the acting. As a judge, I would know it isn't serious. I wouldn't be viewing it as them being brother and sister. I'd be viewing it as if they are in roles.

I get your point, but man, it's stupid in my eyes.
