Sunday

Friday
Monday
Thursday
Wednesday
Tuesday

Monday is so high because you're refreshed for the week and things usually start a bit slower. Tuesday and Wednesday are when things really pick up. Thursday, either things settle down, or that's when you need to get most of the important things finished for the week. Friday has the finishing touches for the week.

I like occasionally working on Sunday (work from home) since it lets me think about the rest of the week. No one's usually on, so I can work at a slightly slower pace. On Saturday, I usually feel like doing other things and won't focus.

I guess it depends on the place. No black people I knew disliked Asians, and I had good friendships with quite a few as well.

How do you stop seemingly random acts of violence like this? Seems like stupid kids doing this, but I'm not sure if it's some weird cultural shift.

No, I consider it a defect in education, then when those beliefs are challenged (if at all), they double down or cherry pick.

I think that people will naturally have a fear towards the unknown unless taught. Negative first impressions are also tough to remove.

TopicReddit is great if you don't like discussion.
Sansoldier

I like reddit, but I don't really visit too many gargantuan subreddits. Conversation is limited, it's like everyone provides their 2 cents to the opening post with a few replies here and there. It's built to be a hivemind / echo chamber, which is fine for fan subreddits. I really like GameFAQs tagging users, and both blocking features are pretty nice (though I don't use them).

Every place has its flaws. I don't have a ton of experience with some of these, but these are my impressions.

Reddit - Lack of discussion, echo chamber / hivemind could lead to witch hunts. However, you tend to have many mini-discussions about incredibly specific topics. It's great for news, updates from "important" people, and posting content. Disqus, Youtube, etc. comments fit here as well.

Twitter - Is like an extreme version of reddit. It's chaos, but you can pick and choose people to become your personalized "news feed." Posts can be topical, stream of consciousness, and news. Replies are essentially useless / even more of a hivemind than reddit.

Discord - Discussions are transient, and there's a limit to the number of people that can participate. Can't really have multiple discussions going on concerning the same topic. Fortunately, it's pretty easy to archive good posts and have some organization through channels.

Forums - Threads tend to die within a few days for the popular ones, but you can get some good discussion depending on activity. Trolls are able to derail discussion much more easily. The better (or more controversial) threads tend to stay alive.

Forums (megathreads) - This one feels like a combination of reddit and forums. People provide their opinions with a bit of discussion here and there. It's really tough to continue a single discussion, quoting others from pages back. If it is a megathread concerning an ongoing event or series, it's easy to be left behind when you're not "caught up."

Microwave. I'll already be at minimum saving a few hundred bucks from top tier quality food.

No time wasted preparing meals. Some of the best food takes days to prepare. Instantly made food for family (and visitors?).

Think of how much one will need to pay the best chef in the world, but many times better than that.

They can restrict how much time he's on those devices, but taking it all away for non-academic reasons doesn't sit right with me.

The parents should try doing activities with their child.

I also find it somewhat weird to pressure a 14 year old about marriage and stress. They don't think about those kinds of things.

It does. You already know a lot of it is in your head. Try to put yourself in their shoes - Would you enjoy it if a co-worker stopped by and discussed a shared interest for a little bit? It's much more likely that the other person will enjoy or be neutral to the conversation rather than disliking it.

Practice always helps, too. People tend to suck at things they don't do often. You have to avoid getting out of that loop of avoiding things you're bad at or it won't get better.

If their ethnicity and gender don't matter to the story, then it's whatever. They can make whatever characters they want, though diversity would be nice if they have the time.

For those where it does, I would like it if more diverse writers and developers are given a chance to craft more realistic characters. It's not surprising if these writers fail to craft these kinds of diverse characters correctly without experience.

Just finished CSIII with the difficulty mod. The last boss felt just about unfair, but was able to pull through eventually.

I've now played the entire series up to CSIV and III did not disappoint at all. I could see why people rated it so highly. The dialogue did feel off at times, but at other times, was executed excellently.

Playing the crossbell games enhances the experience of future games if you're able to play them.

TopicDo white people need to stop writing black and brown characters?
Sansoldier
09/13/20 10:21:02 PM

No, we just need more diverse authors that can provide their own perspectives. That requires providing both a decent education as well as a chance for these people to pitch their ideas.

Of course white people may not be as great at writing a black/brown person at first, but they get better with experience, just like writing a character of the opposite gender. They regularly write people who are not like them.

Zero was surprisingly amazing, since I heard it was a weak entry in the series. I liked Zero better than Ao for ~50-60% of Ao, since events were much more grounded and personal.

All of your questions will be addressed in the sequel.

There have been some updates to the translation that make it similar to Geofront. Other than a few misspellings I noticed in the entire game, adjusting controls and worse technical options, it was a smooth transition for me. The translation was only slightly worse than Geofront, but excellent all around. I used this collective improvements mod: https://imgur.com/a/bQOs4kX

Geofront will likely not finish this year, so I think it's still worth starting. If they do finish early, I imagine the upgrade will be seamless.

I am in the middle of CSIII myself, in the beginning of chapter 2. I am using the difficulty mod, so it's incredibly challenging so far.

The game has so far referenced quite a few things from the crossbell games, even NPCs. It's great to see how past characters are doing.

Also to second what others have said, the 3rd sets the grander tone for the rest of the series and introduces many plot points and a few important characters.
