Topic | How important is the diversity of the company that creates your entertainment? |
Sansoldier 02/16/22 1:16:43 AM #35 | Voted kinda important. Usually, it doesn't matter, but it helps in these areas:

Topic | Honestly, math is so discouraging |
Sansoldier 02/13/22 10:18:41 PM #63 | I think that you should take notes about what comes easiest and hardest to you in terms of learning content, and try to pursue those methods that naturally come easier. Very few things feel more hopeless than bashing your head against the wall with an incompatible learning method. You may need to do problems over and over until you figure out a pattern. You may need an infographic, speech, an activity/app, or learn the reasoning and base concepts before you can learn how they're applied. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/san3711 |
Topic | Remove all letters found in Super Bowl LVI from your username. |

Topic | Do you ever eat the whole pint of ice cream in one sitting? |
Sansoldier 02/11/22 12:38:22 AM #10 | I could eat a few tablespoons and that's about it.. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/san3711 |
Topic | I'd like to know why it is physically fit people are more conservative |
Sansoldier 02/10/22 1:04:33 PM #41 | Conservative = hierarchies. In line with fitness. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/san3711 |
Topic | AOC says Whoopi Goldberg suspension over Holocaust comments was unnecessary |
Sansoldier 02/04/22 3:58:49 PM #124 | Crazyman93 posted... Jonathan Greenblatt is NOT THE PRESIDENT OF JEWISH PEOPLE! Who is, then? How many representatives do you need to have in order to have any path to forgiveness? --- http://www.youtube.com/user/san3711 |
Topic | There are two simple tasks that I've been putting off at work. |
Sansoldier 02/03/22 8:23:05 PM #11 | Sometimes when I feel this way, it originates from a feeling that there's no point in doing it, or that it won't do much. If you can provide a similar amount of information with less pain/work, then I recommend doing that. Infographics, spreadsheet, and automation would help reduce that monotony if possible. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/san3711 |
Topic | Do you agree that certain companies/industries are "Too big to fail"? |
Sansoldier 02/03/22 6:48:34 PM #9 | They should fail. The people that made up the companies would still exist. The void will be filled by (potentially) better companies. Support should be saved for things such as natural disasters, where other people would receive support as well. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/san3711 |
Topic | Salads are just sandwiches without bread. |
Sansoldier 01/30/22 2:16:06 AM #12 | Except it's usually more. You can't fit a full salad in a sandwich. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/san3711 |
Topic | $100,000/year salary is not a lot of money, idk why some ppl think it is |
Sansoldier 01/26/22 1:02:20 AM #53 | $100k is a heck of a lot. -No need to live frugally -Can own a home with cars and support a family -Can cover basic necessities and luxuries What it can't do is really allow that excessive of a lifestyle. You can buy nice things, but you're more incentivized to allocate as much as you can for investments. Even so, it's a great thing to be able to live comfortably. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/san3711 |
Topic | Crypto bros vs anti-crypto bros |
Sansoldier 01/23/22 12:55:41 AM #16 | They really didn't sell me on any of the benefits other than a mechanism for certain people to invest and make money. Invest in what? Not really sure, but the numbers go up. If it's that harmful, I'm against it. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/san3711 |
Topic | Remember back in the day when Xenoblade Chronicles wasn't in the US? >_> |
Sansoldier 01/11/22 10:52:03 PM #19 | Loved all 3 games, though I wish I finished Pandora's Tower. Thought it was excellent. I played the EU version of Xenoblade and it had me engrossed from start to finish. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/san3711 |
Topic | The amount of hate that landlords get is ridiculous |
Sansoldier 01/11/22 10:38:11 PM #94 | The ending of the first post is funny. But the fact is, the way landlording works makes no sense for just about any other product when landlording doesn't inherently offer any sort of service. The service that home management companies offer can easily be offered to the actual owner of the home without the landlord middleman. It doesn't make sense to take out a car loan, make someone else pay for that amount or more, then have the car afterwards. Same with books, dumbbells, games, humidifiers, or whatever good or trinket. There is no tangible benefit for the tenant to rent when prices are high (at mortgage level or higher) and no specific service provided that can't directly be provided to the tenant directly without them. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/san3711 |
Topic | Is the Dam Son meme offensive or racist? |
Sansoldier 01/08/22 6:32:27 PM #34 | Could be insensitive. But I think it depends if it's fun/positive or negative, something they could possibly be bullied over. Positive - Dam Son Negative - Dat Ho --- http://www.youtube.com/user/san3711 |
Topic | What will be Zoomer's ''I had to blew in the NES cartridge!" |
Sansoldier 01/06/22 9:12:15 AM #37 | I had to blow into gameboy cartridges moreso than N64, but it wasn't uncommon. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/san3711 |
Topic | Is 5 grand a month |
Sansoldier 01/03/22 8:23:20 PM #16 | After 401k and other investments? Definitely. If it doesn't include them, you'll be comfortable without too much surplus. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/san3711 |
Topic | What do you consider the "golden age" of the internet? |
Sansoldier 01/02/22 10:00:53 PM #19 | Late 2000s, early 2010s. Internet and computers were too slow on average in the early 2000s. It became worse when forums died, bots became normalized, and social media began providing more extremist content. Right now is still really great for certain things. It's still good for getting involved with smaller, specialized communities. *Certain information is also easily accessible compared to the past. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/san3711 |
Topic | How realistic is it to only eat 1200 calories a day? |
Sansoldier 01/01/22 2:46:40 PM #46 | I think it'll be tough, though having 1-2 main meals a day instead of 3 may help. It depends on how easily you get hungry. I can go all day without eating much and feel just fine, so I suppose it depends on the person. I eat whenever I feel hungry, and try not to eat until I'm completely full, but instead until I am simply not hungry anymore. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/san3711 |
Topic | It's official, CE! I'm an autistic genius! |
Sansoldier 12/23/21 9:04:03 AM #35 | If you trust this test, it would be beneficial to focus not only on the positives, but some of the constructive criticism as well in the hopes that you can improve or supplement them. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/san3711 |
Topic | 30% of Americans don't drink at all. |
Sansoldier 12/22/21 12:46:17 AM #74 | I'll drink if it's there or if it's free, but I won't go out of my way. Alcohol doesn't do much for me. That means that overall, I may drink several times a year. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/san3711 |
Topic | Did you think Covid would last this long when it first started? |
Sansoldier 12/20/21 12:18:25 AM #46 | The amount of No votes are startling. It was pretty clear from the beginning it's here to stay. Edit: Actually, when it first started in January, I was worried about it, but didn't know too much about it. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/san3711 |
Topic | what's the argument against having a Social Credit system? |
Sansoldier 12/19/21 10:34:58 PM #41 | Why? We already have things such as certifications, school grades, etc. More tangible benefits for community service would be nice at least. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/san3711 |
Topic | Why do Americans like clapping and cheering in movie theaters? |
Sansoldier 12/18/21 7:32:23 PM #11 | I've never been in a movie theater that did this. Must be unique to those who watch on opening day. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/san3711 |
Topic | I quite like this Joe Rogan clip about male body standards |
Sansoldier 12/12/21 11:51:03 AM #5 | I was expecting them to go more into depth about male body standards. Instead, they just complain about overweight people and women for most of that time. From what I understand, most male protagonists have achievable body forms. There are just a few roided outliers that are obviously not achievable. Not even going into unrealistic proportions simply stemming from its artstyle. It's also much rarer to find men who want to have the exact unrealistic forms of certain superheroes. They get close enough. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/san3711 |
Topic | Is math racist? As students of color struggle schools are altering instruction |
Sansoldier 12/08/21 5:17:45 PM #82 | Math is often times unnecessarily rigid and obtuse. Word problems are commonly explained in ways that don't make too much sense. You just memorize a bunch of things that provide no value to every day life, then you forget it all shortly after passing the class. Contextualizing what is being taught and leading students to better understanding of the uses for what they are learning would be much better. --- |
Topic | AOC slams people saying canceling student loan debt will benefit the rich |
Sansoldier 12/03/21 3:22:36 PM #11 | I think they're trying to lump in upper middle class people into it. Still doesn't make much sense, since the better off of that group won't be in debt either. --- |
Topic | So what kind of GAMER do I need to be to enjoy SMTV? |
Sansoldier 11/26/21 12:41:41 PM #7 | If you're fine with minimalist story and a strong, "open-world" dungeon crawler. It's more gameplay-focused than even prior entries in the series, with more effort prioritized on exploration. It's been the most balanced entry I've experienced so far, with multiple viable strats for building your character and demon entourage. There are occasional frame dips while exploring, but it hasn't personally affected my experience. Battles remain smooth -- You can skip the initial animations of your attacks, which is fast enough, but I wish it could skip the pause after damaging the enemy as well. --- |
Topic | Metroid Dread really isn't as good as the reviews suggested |
Sansoldier 11/03/21 7:00:40 PM #5 | First time I heard that complaint about this game. Is there something wrong with the animation, art, etc to make it feel unpolished? What's wrong with the level design? --- |
Topic | Dinner bill comes to $600. 5 other people are with you. |
Sansoldier 11/03/21 6:03:43 PM #85 | I don't think I've ever even been in a situation where I needed to split evenly that wasn't sharing food. If food is shared, such as appetizers, the ones who got it splits. Otherwise, you pay for what you ordered. If somehow the servers didn't keep track of what each order was and grouped them together, I suppose it would be easier to split in that case. --- |
Topic | I can't get past the 2nd fucking EMMI lmao |
Sansoldier 10/29/21 12:23:30 AM #18 | Blitzing to the next area worked the best for me. Trying to hide or juke them didn't seem all that worth it. --- |
Topic | I need a new Final Fantasy with a proper Job system |
Sansoldier 10/21/21 11:17:10 PM #13 | You sound like you want something like Fell Seal. That was a pretty good FFT-inspired game. --- |
Topic | Do peopleWho hate centrists really think it's a neutral position? |
Sansoldier 10/12/21 8:49:04 PM #333 | I thought I was centrist until I formed more concrete political opinions. The stances are too extreme. It's either anti-abortion or pro-choice (any moderate view for abortion is seen as pro-choice) Any moderate view to increase gun control is seen as left. Any moderate view to increase taxes for the rich, who disproportionately pay lower taxes, is seen as left. There are binary choices where it doesn't make sense to put them on the same pedestal (segregation vs. desegregation. Gay Marriage vs. anti-Gay Marriage) Trans rights. Is the centrist idea that they should get bathrooms, but be banned from Olympics/sports? Then you have crazy things like vaccines, social distancing, and masks. I suppose the moderate view is masks with no vaccine, or you have the vaccine and you don't need masks, but it's not seen like that right now. I think that it can be applied to very few things that are non-binary, such as choices for healthcare and schools, though there are concerns about who primarily benefits and who are hurt by these choices. --- |
Topic | What do you think of "vaccine-hesitant" people? |
Sansoldier 10/08/21 11:09:32 AM #9 | It was fine early last year, but now you either have your head in the ground not to see the evidence of the vaccine being good, or you are clearly antivax without any evidence being able to change your mind. --- |
Topic | "Gameplay loop" is a moronic concept |
Sansoldier 10/03/21 6:38:13 PM #13 | I interpret the term as the progression structure, which is a combination of the level structure (story progression, levels vs. exploring) and upgrade/level-up structure. --- |
Topic | Im turning 35 and lost my job |
Sansoldier 10/03/21 5:34:25 PM #17 | Some things are outside of your control. You're making the best of your given available options for the moment. --- |
Topic | Accidentally left some spaghetti out in a container overnight, is it still safe? |
Sansoldier 09/23/21 9:49:00 PM #29 | If your house is cool and sat inside a sealed container, it should be ok. If it is warm or left out in the open, doesn't sound like a good idea. --- |
Topic | I will buy 5 people ITT a copy of Megaman Battle Network Collection if it is.. |
Sansoldier 09/22/21 10:41:42 PM #53 | One Step from Eden is a pretty nice indie game in the same vein as MMBN. --- |
Topic | It was very far from perfect, but God I miss this country before 9/11 happened. |
Sansoldier 09/05/21 1:15:01 PM #65 | I felt like the country turned crazy after 9/11. Either that, or I was just starting to notice it as a kid. --- |
Topic | Would you date a conservative? |
Sansoldier 08/17/21 6:20:14 PM #19 | Only if they were a single issue voter. If they're deep down the rabbit hole, then no. --- |
