--Wray suggested McCabe step down from his job in Jan 2018.
--FBI Inspector General turns from "Comey did too much by releasing the letter on reopening Clinton email investigation in Oct 2016" to "McCabe didn't do enough and should have reopened Clinton email investigation"
--Wray publicly denounced the Nunes memo. He also said FBI only got to see it one day before House Intelligence Committee voted to release it and that was only after pressuring Nunes.

These units and skills are insanely good. Even outside of the new skills (wtf is Brazen Atk/Spd and Vengeful Fighter), the other skills are great too. Tharja literally has Close Counter, Vengeful Fighter, and Red Tome Valor.

Are the Robins underrated? A lot of people talk about how good Robin(M) is and I'm sure Robin(F) is just as good in this blue meta. It's just that they're consistently underrated by the tier list because it goes off the impression that it's one-rounding player-phase units, which the Robins will never be.

SoJ has a good soundtrack. It's probably my second favorite soundtrack, only behind AAI1's incredible soundtrack.

SoJ as a whole is a really solid game. People sing the praises of 6-5 but the other cases have pretty good qualities about them. It's my second favorite AA game.

Update released with the weapon refinery.

Hauteclare (Minerva, Michalis) gets its original effect + Wo Dao effect.
Mystletainn (Eldigan) gets its original effect + Fury 3, which gives Eldigan Fury 6.
Siegmund (Ephraim) gets Hone Attack 4 and Brash Assault but above 90% HP instead.
Sol Katti (Lyn) gets Desperation 3 and Brash Assault but under 75% HP instead.
Fujin Yumi (Takumi) gets to go through trees above 50% HP or more. Also, gets Halloween Nowi's warping effect at 50% or above.
Deathly Dagger (Jaffar) deals 10 damage to target and foes within 2 spaces. It also gets Firesweep powers.
All Dragon Breath attacks attack Def/Res on 2-range enemies, whichever stat is lower. Special shoutout to Light Breath for +5 to every stat within 2 spaces upon initiating an attack. Dark Breath also gets Atk/Spd Smoke 3 as an effect.
Zanbato and Ridersbane both nullify cavalry bonuses.
Berkut's Lance (Berkut) gives Res+7 when unit is attacked.
Guard's Bow grants Def/Res+6 when attacked by ranged units, basically Distant Defense 3.
Staff users can get their weapon upgraded into having a Wrathful or Dazzling Staff effect.

re: 4-4 vs. E2-3. That's a pretty good point that makes me rethink about E2-3, even if it's just vastly a more fun case around. I agree with 4-4 just having a bigger impact on the series, but 4-4 desecrates Phoenix, who we saw far more than DL-6, which is really limited to just a few cases. Plus, it's mainly von Karma and Gregory, who are just...whatever.

Also, Gregory contrasting with the location is great! I loved how Gregory is just this serious character who is LA Noireing a dessert castle. von Karma was ruined, but eh, he was already ruined in E-4 in his short cameo.

actually 4-4 is the only case where Day 1 is clearly the best.

I guess I was thinking of Trial 1 and Trial 2 as essentially a "one day trial" since it all happens in the same day. "Whoops."

It's kinda hard to define 1-4 in terms of trial days since they're so abbreviated compared to every other game. I think 1-4 Trial 1 and 1-4 Trial 2 are both great in different ways. Trial 1's got von Karma making his incredible first impression that carried him for so long and Maya putting herself into contempt of court. But Trial 2 has the incredible "This trial should only last 3 minutes" thing and Larry's best moment by far in the series.

4-4, huh. Maybe if we count the Mason System as part of the trial. Thinking back, there's not too many incredible Trial Day 1s.

Edgeworth 2-3 absolutely should be in bold. I'd argue that 5-5 should be bold, but I'm not sure if I can say that for 5-4. I'd also say 6-1 isn't necessarily bold.

Also, how are we defining "mainline"? Is it mainly built towards the main characters of Phoenix, Apollo, and Edgeworth? Or is it towards the main story being told by the games?

Same here! I like 6-4 for what it is. If it makes you feel better, 6-4 was the last case actually developed and was made entirely as a breather between 6-3 and 6-5.

I mean, I think Simon would absolutely be a character you love, Leon. It's just a long road to get there.

TTGL's probably my favorite anime but I'm also not a big fan of anime period. It's been a while since I watched TTGL, though...dunno if I still think it's my favorite. The first few episodes of TTGL is absolutely the worst. Trust me, it gets much better as soon as you get to Episode 8!

I liked Logan a lot and, while I liked the acting, I wouldn't say it was extraordinary. It was probably a better movie all around. It definitely had much better pacing.

But I loved Wonder Woman and I thought it was a shining example of what a superhero movie should be. Thinking back on the No Man's Land scene still gives me shivers. I can't really say that for Logan's scenes, as good as the whole movie was.

I think the biggest issue about the graphics is that it took MvC3's models and made it almost universally worse. There are so many things that look awkward and janky. Plus, there is practically 0 aesthetics when it comes to the UI or the character select or the music.

That said, I always felt MvC3 was incredible with its aesthetics and presentation, so following it up was always gonna be a disappointment.
