Yeah it's arguably the worst movie in the entire franchise. It makes AvP Reqiuem look like a competent movie. It can't even hold a candle to Predators with Adrien Brody.

The Predator was not just full of inconsistencies but also painfully predictable at least AvP Requiem had some shock by killing a child and body horror pregnancy.

The one thing I was curious about was the fate of the alien dog they befriended... they show him fighting the predator at the end and all we hear is a whine

actually I think there's a pretty good argument to be made for eliminating corporate taxes.

1. they're regressive, corporations just end up passing on their tax costs to consumers, which hurts the poor most of all
2. corporate taxes discourage business investment, reducing innovation and prospereity
3. large corporations exploit loopholes and often end up paying 0% in taxes anyway

i would trade a 0% corporate tax rate for like a 60% tax rate on top earners. i think low corporate tax, low capital gains tax, strong progressive income tax is probably the best of all worlds. so i can't fault missouri on this.

The first and third points seem more "they found a way to avoid responsibility" rather than "reasons they shouldn't have responsibility". If someone is expected to complete a chore but finds ways make someone else do it/avoid it we don't say "it's fine, forget about it".

Your second point seems a broad generalization - do you have evidence that reducing their taxes to 0 would have a significant impact on innovation and "prosperity"?

I loathed this movie when I went to see it, felt like I'd seen those plot points and every gimmick it had in every other movie, except more generic with a really unlikable, downright punchable MC.

The fact that this movie made hundreds of millions when a unique movie like Scott Pilgrim made with lots of love underperformed, still keeps me up in the afternoon. There is no justice in the world

No its not. Antisemitism is antisemitism. Its been around for centuries. You can sugar coat it all you want, but the fact remains is that people arent drawing swastikas on federation buildings or writing kanye was right about the Jews or calling for a second holocaust because of what is going on in Gaza.

The only possibility was at the Weasleys or the Quidditch Cup. had he got someone to Portkey Harry hed have to avoid the supervision he was under from friends and family.

This next part is somewhat headcannon but lines up with whats in the book.

the reason for the Portkey as the Triwizard cup was because only Dumbledore can control magical entrance to and from Hogwarts. As part of the preparation for the 3rd Task Moody volunteers to deliver the Cup. Likely he was also given the ability to make it a Portkey since the Cup transports the winner back to the entrance of the maze. Which should not be possible under regular circumstances

Let me introduce you to a little concept called "qualified immunity".

The tl;dr is that a cop can't get in trouble for something a cop hasn't gotten in trouble for before, unless it violates "clearly established law". Needless to say, that leaves a lot of wiggle room for the pigs.

Oh I'm aware of qualified immunity, I was curious as to DP's stance - he described what happened but (AFAIK) hasn't said whether he thinks the city should file charges.

This week is Case-O-Rama for Trump with the major cases all expected to play a role in his week.

Already happened:

-Trump was in court for a pretrial hearing related to the Mar-a-Lago document case. In addition to her obvious bias toward Trump she is also showing just how much she is in over her head when it comes to discovery and classified documents.

-Trump submitted a request for a stay to the Supreme Court related to his D.C. trial.

Scheduled:

-Thursday there will be a hearing in the Rico case regarding D.A. Willis having a relationship with a special prosecutor. Defendants are trying to get the charges dropped or Wilis dismissed off the case. There were rumors that Trump would be there but instead he is go to be at...

-Thursday there will be a status hearing in the Manhattan District Attorney's case. At said hearing it is expected to hear whether the March trial is go or may be pushed back.

Expected:

-Friday the decision in the civil fraud trial will finally be given. This coming after a half a month delay due to potential perjury.

-The Supreme Court has given Jack Smith a week to respond to Trump's request for a stay. However, Smith will almost certainly submit his response sooner than later.

Possible but unlikely:

-The Supreme Court deciding whether to stay the D.C. trial (next week likely)

-The Supreme Court decision on the 14th Amendment (a few weeks away likely)

Plus who knows what else might pop up as well.

Leaving aside the tangent of military danger vs police danger, are you saying that him resigning (not being fired) is sufficient "facing responsibility"? That the city shouldn't follow up on charges that like would be done for a civilian?

Conceptually, the argument is over whether or not there is ever a time in which a mostly homogenous cast would be appropriate for the narrative. You can place anyone anywhere in history. You could have a Native American cast member in Mulan. Native Americans existed. Who is to say that they didn't build a ship and sail it to China in some unrecorded part of history? Even if that's taking liberties, it's more realistic than a dragon.
