this happens to most foreigners that have middle names and it's such a pain in the ass! it doesn't matter how much you tell them "I don't use my middle name" they're just like "do you write it on your annual taxes?" well, yes "then it goes on your account"

meanwhile the 1040 only requires a middle INITIAL anyway!

all the respect in the world to people who can keep their name. Even if my name was like, Sam or something, I just couldn't do it. Even hearing my deadname when it's used as a verb makes my skin crawl. For a long time used to do it as well, and as you can imagine you hear that 10000 times a day in a school. That faded over time.

yeah we've been friends but she moved back to the states in the spring

the newspaper thing was pretty universal as recently as 2018 or so as far as I know. Finally some states are making exceptions when publishing the name change is really embarrassing (or can endanger people).

And it was nearly impossible to get my name changed in Japan. I tried. Many times. I got the next best thing, but I'm not sure how much my ID with is gonna help in america lol

The best idle game still apparently gets occasional updates? I'm in my 4th reset atm and finally starting to feel the effects of Paragon passive bonuses. I have it running on my work PC so it only runs part of the day. Just a little thing to check on occasionally and smile as numbers go up.

the surprisingly difficult game in the last STC was Snowboard Kids for N64 because you really need to be holding on the stick to go fast, but most of the other retro games are d-pad, so you lose speed every time you switch back to Snowboard Kids. Made it hard to get first place!

Also some AWFUL power rangers game where we kept getting killed by falling signs because we were trying to rush

i'm not sure if this is still the case today, but there used to be this real sense of... "cheekiness" (immaturity) on the site. Everyone wanted to push boundaries as far as possible, and getting one past the mods was a big win.

I was so mad about my alt Heiress Dyes being banned for spoilers I made it everybody's business when really it was dumb and I should've just had a little more respect.

with a 3 second swap you can get a rhythm going, especially since MOST of the time you're holding right. If you ever need to not hold right for a particularly hard part (heat man jump puzzle for example) you really need to just stand still on the other games and focus on waiting for the one game to pop up...

our Shuffle Time Challenge is every 5-25 seconds, so you have no idea how long you'll have. Thus, it can behoove you to wait before a long jump or timing section until the game shuffles away and comes back so you can make sure you at least have 5 seconds.

last year I finally played Mother 1 and it was incredible. So I guess that was about 30... 32 years old?ish?

A few months ago I streamed a challenge on Twitch where I had Mega Man 1-6 all swapping every 3 seconds and I managed to beat all six games, that was fun and probably aggressively annoying to watch
