Oh man, I just remembered one early-era card that wrecked my shit: Ekibyo Drakmord. When my brother's friend first busted it out in a game, I did like twelve double takes and demanded to read every word of the card text. I couldn't believe a freakin common (this was still around the time most of us were fumbling with the first starters) could be so broken.

The pro move would be to accept it and use the funds to organize unions.

I don't watch tennis, but in football (soccer) you could literally copy+paste every interview after a win/loss for a player. It's so mediatized that they're basically not saying anything anyway, so I rarely see the need for it. I also wonder how many people actually watch those.

And yes, Police departments on the whole have a lot of ways they can improve with regard to de-escalation, and resources being allocated more intelligently and less militantly. Your typical beat cop should not require a sidearm. But if someone is going to stab me then please send the cop with the gun so they can stop the person with the knife from murdering me.
