The crowd is often cheering and booing people explicitly to tell then what they want and don't want. Remember Becky Lynch and how they took months and months and actively fought the crowd to make her heel?

Remember Rusev Day?

We can even go back. Remember Cesaro? Remember Zack Ryder?

They don't listen to a thing the crowd wants. These are just off the top of my head, things the crowd cheers for that they never get because WWE fights against it.

And further, what does NXT have to do with anything? I don't watch it because I don't have time and I'm not paying for the network because I refuse to give an awful company my money when they fail to entertain me?

To be fair, if you're working on a show for years I can't imagine it being easy to try and keep things new, exciting, and original.

It's not so much an excuse for the current product as an acknowledgment of it being a difficult process in general. There's no reruns and they're writing more weekly TV than ever.

I'm not going to say it's easy, and a lot of it is out of their control, and I don't blame them actually, because their job is not to write for the fans, their job is to write for an out of touch senile man who doesn't have his pulse on anything the fans wants and actively rejects what they want because he doesn't care.

It's just a ridiculous response to say "It's hard" for entirely wrong reasons, or use it as an excuse for why their ratings suck. Or more hilariously, to blame the fans saying that all they want to do is find a reason to hate everything, when they tell you constantly what they'd like to see and no attempt is made to give them what they want!

It's Vince's fault for like almost all of this and I don't understand why he doesn't see this as a personal failing and that he needs to step away.

Apparently people got on Brian Alvarez's case because he said it was pathetic they got their worst ratings this week, and Jimmy Jacobs, Seth Rollins, a former writer, and others were on him with the defense "It's really hard and people think they can write the show and they don't get it's really hard." And the ex-writer said that it's difficult to write to fans that pay you money while looking for reasons to hate you. Like what the fuck is with these people, like this is an excuse.

I mean, I don't necessarily think Lamar is better than Flacco or anything, but the fact that Lamar runs the ball so often opens up for his receivers to actually be open, which was their main issue.

But good lord the Ravens needed to get rid of Flacco after the stranglehold his contract had on their salary cap. The team can rebuild with Lamar if they get rid of all of their receivers but John Brown and get new running backs (excluded is Tyhurst who I haven't seen enough of). Their o-line is fine, fortunately.

Unfortunately they will not grow with Harbough and their Mornhinweg. Get rid of them entirely.

Oh, I'm sure I'm missing good stuff in NXT. I know 205 Live has some really good stuff too. But I can't justify giving them money for a Network membership. Not only that, I didn't have the time to keep up with it with all the other TV I try to keep up with (which is frankly more enjoyable most times).

Another thing is that I get tired of being invested and excited for NXT stars to make it to the main roster only for them to be gutted and horribly misused.

WWE actually going the route of "Everything sucks and the show sucks and the ratings suck and the crowds suck" with their babyfaces completely baffles me after finishing watching all the Nitros.

It's like finishing it brought Nitro back from the grave. I can't wait for the 2018 version of the Natural Born Thrillers to show up. I wonder who will be the Stasiak.

Actually, Meltzer opened up his review of Raw by saying that the first segment of the show reminded him a lot of WCW in it's dying days.

I heard Corbin got MORE HEAT, even though they acknowledged the show sucks now because of him.

And that I guess they're screwing up AOP more by having them lose the titles after Drake Maverick of all people got pinned.

And using Jim Neidhart and saying absolutely classless things in the feud more.

And Finn's reward for being the only guy on the roster to stand up to Corbin last week was for him to get beat so bad he isn't even here this week.

Unlocked all the characters! Now I feel like I can host parties. Last one to be unlocked: Bowser Jr. Still going through World of Light though.

Another guy who feels different: Falco. His Shield Kick doesn't stumble the opponent anymore. In fact, it does literally nothing. I used to use it a lot for that purpose so it's kind of a bummer. Otherwise he seems like he's the same? I don't think the last hit of his Up B knocks them back anymore though. But it may have been a fluke, but I think you can act after his Side B, or at the very least use Up B after.

From what I understand, pro players think Inkling is top tier and has been used most in the first tournaments. I think it requires a lot of of accuracy with the neutral B gun to ensure maximum damage at all times.

I really want to like Simon/Richter because they feel so good while you're on the stage. But then you get knocked off and your recovery is garbage so you die.

Use whip to recover most times. It works a lot better. I've finally gotten myself used to doing just that.

I thought Hostile Assist Trophies were fine until I ran into the 8 Volt Spirit fight

Legit gave me nightmares after that

Kill the assist trophy. Even with Assist Killer equipped, it still took me a few times to kill it and survive long enough to even beat the other two enemies after that.

The Boss was easier once I got an assist trophy with Poison Immunity (which took 2 slots rather than the three anti-poison things you'd need to nullify it otherwise). Then it's just a game of trying to catch Samus and then beat her with enough health that her Final Smash doesn't kill you. I legit beat her with 2 seconds left, and the time before that we had a time out where she ended up with 0.4% more health than me and I lost.

Fire Harbough at this point. I'm tired of this schmuck. Makes a horrible call to defense that gives them an easy touchdown and it's just frustrating to watch this dude coach when even when there's a good game offensively (a miracle honestly), his team still finds a way to completely screw himself.

Get rid of Harbough and get rid of Flacco. They're done. And replace almost your entire receivers except Brown and maybe Crabtree who decided not to suck as hard lately.

Actually, I was wrong. Jin jumped in at the last second to defeat True Ogre. Paul is the technical winner of Tekken 3 but I guess since Jin beat True Ogre, he wins.

Jin is pretty lame though.

I beat Tekken 3 loads of times but that's completely lost on me

So the canon result of Tekken 3 is Paul won and Heihachi or whoever pulled some lawyer shit and made him fight True Ogre at the end?

Paul Phoenix beat Heihachi, then he beat Ogre. Then he just left, thinking he won. Ogre became True Ogre and was still technically in the tournament, so Heihachi just took Paul's place as the runner up and then beat True Ogre to win. If I remember right Heihachi runs that tournament so he just makes the rules.

Paul Phoenix? I must be out of the loop on my Tekken lore. How did that happen? And who tf is Lars?

He made it to the finals of the first three tournaments. He had to forfeit the second one due to missing the finals and the third one he beat Ogre and Heihachi, but he didn't know he has to beat True Ogre to win the tournament.

I think he's too old and busted in the later games and an alcoholic, but he used to be one of the best before.

And yea you should be able to unlock everyone via World of Light. It's a longer method but I like doing it this way.

I beat this one without too much of an issue actually.

I may have gotten lucky by winning the Wario Ware minigames with the car dodging though.

I like Wii Fit Trainer a lot. I can't play her for shit, but she's super fun.

And I think Echo Fighters are mostly just that their moves look much more different, which is why they warrant their own character. I do wish they made something different with their mechanics though. Even if slightly.

I just went into the dungeon that had the three seals on it, is beating this how I move towards Robin? This is only the second dungeon I've entered aside from the lava fortress (well third I guess, since the Street Fighter thing seems to count as one). There are still portions of the map I haven't really touched, like the spooky forest area.

This is not where Robin is unlocked. In it you get Simon and Pit.

Oh, and is there any word that the final smash charges are allowed in pro play? I frankly can't understand if they don't allow it because it feels absolutely fair and not unlike any comeback mechanic in most games.

If they turn it off in pro play it is absolutely just Pro Smash players being the worst ever.

Ganoncide kills Ganon first now, which is completely fair and a good change and I hate it. <_<

This is true for Bowser too and is true for Ridley's too. Ridley's is absolutely paralyzing though when you use it on a flat level the goes to the end of the stage because you have to watch him glide across the whole length of the level knowing you screwed up.

Oh, and Dedede feels different too. Like his forward smash feels a hell of a lot slower, which is weird and I feel absolutely no confidence landing it now. But on the plus side, I think it hits above him and during the whole swing now.

Very surprised to see that beating classic mode with Ryu unlocks Ganon. I mean I'm happy to have him now but I was basically certain it was going to be a certain someone else....

I think everyone has a random order of characters that classic mode unlocks, and if you unlock the first one the list, it goes down until there's someone you haven't unlocked.

I still have loads to unlock. I think maybe 20 left? I'm enjoying Simon Belmont a ton though. He's my Adventure mode guy since his keepaway is so useful. I'm still too afraid to try using his whip for recovery, so I'm going to practice with that before I play again.

So who feels different in this game? Luigi feels very different to me from Brawl for a lot of reasons I can't figure out. The main reason is that his Down B doesn't let him hover now. I used that so much and I don't get why they removed it from him. I feel like Snake is very different too, again, for reasons I can't put my finger on.

This is my first Smash since Brawl, which I haven't played in 10 years, and I'm having a lot of fun. Definitely need to learn how to play though before I join any B8 stuff.

Personally I'm still trying to figure out control combinations that I am comfortable with because I only have the joycons. I might get a pro controller, but I haven't decided yet.

I got a pro controller. It makes a good difference because the spacing of the buttons with the joycon controller thing is still kind of awkward in comparison.

Take out that AT ASAP and the battle becomes 1000% more manageable. That AT is god fucking awful.

I'm also going to put a bunch of points into my Simon Belmont. He's the first character that I actually play that I've unlocked in Adventure mode so that may help.

Other fight that seems almost impossible: The Boss. The ZSS is impossibly fast and you need to dedicate 3 slots to anti-poison in order to not take one health of damage every second. I just have no idea how to best it.

Im really liking k rool so far

Speaking of this, I just got my first 9.9 in Classic Mode with K. Rool! He's got so many options in this game. Only drawback is that his Up B leaves him open sometimes and is his only form of recovery. I get a ton of mileage out of close range B though. If you hold it in and you hit them with the initial cannonball, it hits them with a second one that just sends them flying so far.

All you get with 9.9 Intensity in Classic Mode is a Min crown though. Weak.
