Oh, and one other thing about being at RAW is that my buddy pointed out that WWE jacks themselves off constantly during the downtime in shows, like showing everything they do with the troops, celebrities talking about them and appearing on their show, charities they do, among other things. It started to become a little excessive.

That is super shitty and really makes it hard for people to want to keep watching your show if the main event you make is Big Show vs Big Cass. Especially when you hype it up as the main event at the beginning of the show.

Enzo also cut a super confusing promo which had us scratching our heads. Like, why is he saying that he is getting other people to beat up Cass for him...? Big Show vs Big Cass was just something we were totally over because it was slow, even if it wasn't absolutely terrible. But this three hours is so painful to sit through when you have the last 45 minutes we had. And then it ends with a totally stupid finish. People left in droves before this match, btw. They did not want to see Big Cass vs Big Show at all. Insanity. Why was the main event not the triple threat?

We said "Well, maybe we'll have a decent dark match." And our dark match was Enzo coming back down to try and fight Cass, with Big Show holding Cass while Enzo beats him up in a way that was totally unconvincing. Big Show then choke slammed Cass and Enzo pinned him. Show counted the pin. It was underwhelming.

But at the same time, there were more Enzo & Cass shirts we saw than anybody else, so I don't know why they broke these guys up at all. It makes no sense. Btw, if we wanted that badass Lesnar Suplex City ticket shirt with Pittsburgh, PA on it, it was $30, which was ludicrous.

Overall, enjoyable show until the last hour, so probably one of the better RAW shows we went to.

They announced Bray Wyatt would be coming out next and we collectively said this would be our food run. Because Bray Wyatt is just jibberish nonsense anymore and it is impossible to care about a damn thing he says. We came back halfway and asked our one friend who stayed what we missed and he said "I don't know." But when we came back literally everyone was doing the "WHAT?" chant at him. Probably deserved. But at least seeing Finn Balor and doing the arm thing with him was fun!

We saw that the triple threat wasn't the main event and became extremely worried for what could possibly be the main event if it wasn't the triple threat, and also afraid that we'd get a shitty finish. Roman was booed horribly but Braun and Joe got cheered. It was then that I realized every lumber jack looking person wears a Braun Strowman shirt. He's actually super popular with power lifter looking dudes. But the match was pretty amazing and fun to get into. We were confused where Braun was hiding at one point because, you know, he's fucking enormous. But when Joe vs Roman was happening in the match, all the kids in our section that were cheering Roman and booing Joe when they came out were cheering when Joe was kiling him. It was really, really confusing. But there was a point in the match where they were teasing Roman spearing Strowman through the barricade and Braun kicked him away and we exclaimed "Braun just saved all of those people in the crowd ringside!" The only disappointing part of the match is that Roman won. To which he was booed terribly in a city that is mostly marks.

Also, we noticed there is no pyro early on in the show. It was... strange? It felt odd to be at a show with no pyro.

Then we got a segment with Big Show and Enzo and they showed a promo for Show vs Cass and we immediately were horrified that it would probably be the main event.

Elias Samson came out and when he said he was from Pittsburgh, it was impossible to boo him, especially when he got nostalgic about the sights. Even when he trashed on us, we booed but we still cheered him too. But holy shit was that match dull. He needs a bigger moveset if he's going to have these matches. Everyone thought Kalisto's entrance was dope as hell to see live. Just... man. I want to like Elias. I'm super into everything but his wrestling. We cheered pretty loud when he won though because he's a Pittsburgh guy.

Alexa Bliss cut a fun promo, but when she announced that Bayley would be facing Nia Jax, my one buddy yelled, "Oh my god noooooooooo!" which people seemed to laugh and agreed with that sentiment. We soon realized that this last hour was going to be rough, because even our friend who never watches the shows except for maybe a PPV every three months or so was like "Wait, hasn't Bayley faced Nia Jax a ton of times already?"

Nia vs Bayley happened and my friend who is a pro wrestler just said "Nia Jax has no idea how to protect her opponent" in the middle of the match. It was slow, plodding, dumb, and boring. And then Nia did that arm trap submission and then she threw Bayley onto her shoulder and he said "I would never step in a ring with Nia Jax." And hearing Bryan talk about it on Wrestling Observer Radio makes me think she may have been injured because she was much slower after that. It was a weird, weird finish and a weirder aftermath that had us confused.

Cass cuts the worst promo and my buddy went "I just want to see some Big Ass." And a guy in the crowd shouted "We all want some Big Ass!"

So I went to RAW last night. Basically, we had an awesome time for the first two hours, and then it was totally awful for the last hour. There were a ton of seats tarped off at the top area of the arena on the hard cam side. It was strange for a RAW show. But here are some of my thoughts from it.

First Main Event match was Drew Gulak & Brian Kendrick vs Lince Dorado & Gran Metalik. Really, really fun and awesome match that people actually got into because Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado are so awesome. Why they are doing nothing with Gran Metalik is absolutely mindboggling, because he got this crowd.

Second match was Emma vs Mickie James. It was a decent match. Crowd got decently into it. My friends and I just kept shouting "COME ON MICKIIIIIIE!" a la Brie Bella because we've made that a joke of ours.

Then we had a bunch of videos about WWE before Kurt Angle finally came out. What confused me is that they didn't let Corey Graves come out alone, since he's a Pittsburgh boy and we were excited to cheer him when he came out. But he just came out to Cole's music. Booker T's theme song is still totally fun though! Anyway, Kurt came out and we gave him a huge ovation because, again, he's from Pittsburgh. He cut a "let's hype up the crowd" promo. Brock Lesnar coming out was awesome since we didn't exactly expect him to be there. Heyman's promo was awesome. We loved it all.

Next was Hardy Boyz vs The Club. We all sang the Revival theme song since we use that song as an alarm clock for the rest of us when we need to wake up early to do something together. But we did all the DELETE and such. But my god, we must have done the slow clap for Jeff Hardy about half a dozen times before he recovered. I HATE when they keep trying to get you to do the clap and get into the match only for them to put them back into another rest hold. Wasn't a tremendous match, but it had its fun moments. The brawl after was totally cool though!

A running theme for any Dean Ambrose/Seth Rollins segment were people around us shouting for them to just kiss already. That is my only commentary there.

I'm guessing all the cruiserweights came out during a commercial break. They all did except Tozawa, and it was funny because we saw Rollins on the tron walking and we said "Is Seth the last guy!?" The Sheamus/Cesaro and Seth segment was fun though. Concerning the Cruiserweight match though, it was a really fun match with a lot of slow moments though. Our thing was that we would do the "HAH!" thing as fast as we could so it was more like a "HAHHAHHAHHAHHAHHAH!" Still, pretty fun match.

Miz was so much fun on MizTV. We love to hate that Cleveland bastard. But it was such a weird segment. He announces Jason Jordan (whose theme song is absolutely atrocious btw), and we basically don't give him a reaction because... uh, how do we even respond to him? But Miz was talking about how we were all booing him which was totally confusing. And then my one buddy noticed that Jason Jordan kept saying "You know what?" So the whole night we would keep saying to each other "You know what?" I mean, I guess we cheered him when he suplexed Miz, but he was pretty underwhelming.

Oh yeah, Roman got booed literally any time he was mentioned or on screen. I was surprised because Pittsburgh usually cheers him. It was strange.

Rollins vs Sheamus was really fun, and we had a great time with Cesaro's stupid antics ringside, and him wearing both titles. Oh, and Seth Rollins' theme song with the "BURN IT DOOOOOOWN!" scared the shit out of us since we were doing our typical "seth rollins SETH ROLLINS seth rollins SETH ROLLINS" deal. We were disappointed he still had the same theme otherwise. They managed to get us to boo Cesaro with the beat down. It seemed weird that Dean came out so much later, but it was cool seeing Sheamus and Cesaro killing guys.

Which is fair

The latter is how I felt. The gameplay was frustrating at times when you had to be stealthy since it seemed inconsistent. And when you were trying to be stealthy, Ellie would be running around like a crackhead which was super distracting. Eventually I would just try a couple times towards the end and then go fuck it and watch a YouTube video to see the easiest route. It didn't seem worth it to me to struggle through all of those.

But I absolutely loved any actual combat and the storyline. Just fuck those stealth segments.

There's a Just Dance game that just came out on mobile that gets a ton of featuring and literally scenes dedicated to it for seemingly no reason but to say "Play this game." This is just what I've heard because there's no way I'm seeing this movie, obviously.

Well then one of them sobers up at least a couple hours before they leave. I mean, there were options here. But I've been out with friends constantly and we've all drank a lot and we had picked someone who would be our DD and made sure they stopped drinking and sobered up before we left.

There were options here. And you can't just say "Well, it's easy for you to say when you're not going out to party" when most of us have been in that situation and have been able to deal with it maturely without endangering anyone. They fucked up and they should have figured something out, clearly because three of them are dead and it could have very easily have been worse than that.

Yeah, it's hard to really sympathize with the girls who died because they were drunk driving and could have very easily killed other people. It's terrible, but if you drink and drive you know what you're risking. With Uber and Lyft there is absolutely no excuse to drink and drive in an area like Pittsburgh where it's prevelant.

I feel for their family, who now have to see them being assholes in their final moments and see the nasty things people were saying about them.

I watched the storyline because I heard it was impressively bad.

And I'm just like... this is the best you could do? Just Abigail making car noises and screaming random nonsense and a few characters walking by and getting confused in the least witty way possible?

I just... what the hell? Who over the age of five would think that it was funny? Like yeah, we have joke characters like Dan and Hakan and such, but Abigail is just on a different planet. There's literally just nothing there that's entertaining or clever. His moveset isn't terrible, but I just don't get how they thought this would appeal to people.

Oh yeah, I finished watching GLOW today. Really fun show that you don't need to be a wrestling fan at all to have a ton of fun with. It definitely pokes fun at the more absurd parts of wrestling though.

I saw cameos by Johnny Mundo, Joey Ryan, Alex Riley, Christopher Daniels, Carlito, and Brodus Clay. I didn't even realize Awesome Kong was in it until after.

So now Nia Jax, Alexa Bliss, and Carmella are joining the new season of Total Divas.

Interesting choices. Nia Jax probably for body positivity reasons, Alexa Bliss because she's had an eating disorder in the past, but Carmella seems a bit random, but maybe to sell the drama on her and Cass being on two different shows? Surprised they haven't tossed Charlotte on there yet.

Renee Young, Eva Marie, and Paige got dropped from it. For the other girls I can kind of understand why they're still on Nikki because she has a wedding to plan, Brie because she is having a babby. Lana because she's trying to do something that resembles wrestling. Naomi because she's champ. And Natalya because... I dunno. I guess because she's a role model maybe?

I didn't see anything from Breezango onward, but New Day vs Usos and Tye Dillinger vs Aiden English were probably the best matches that night. I even thought the women's match was good any time that Lana wasn't trying to do offense. After that, it seemed like the show fell off a cliff.

Bryan Alvarez is saying that this was the worst singles match of Nakamura's career, which I could believe. I think Corbin needs to add moves to his moveset if he's going to be expected to control longer matches.

This is actually a good point.

Like, I know somebody spent a ton of time making them, and they're great, and I have no idea who is watching the pre-show not on the Network and ends up deciding to buy the Network last minute to watch the show. That's the only reason I understand it on the pre-show, but there can't be anyone actually watching this thing on YouTube that buys the Network because of it.

Why is it odd? Natalya's the only heel on the women's roster except for Lana (which holy crap don't put her in the Summerslam match if she can't even cover someone properly) or Tamina which... might not have been too bad either, especially with Lana shenanigans. But Natalya can always put on a good match, so I can see their match being really good. Plus you always have the chance of a Carmella cash in.

My friend group that I introduced to The Room actually went to NYC and saw a screening of it that was HOSTED BY TOMMY WISEAU and I was so pissed and jealous. They got to meet him and everything.

Well, here's the thing about things hosted by Tommy Wiseau. He's done panels and stuff and opened it up for questioning. People then ask a question and he goes "Haha, thank you. Next question." And he doesn't answer a single question. He doesn't understand how questions work.
