| Prestoff 05/03/24 11:41:46 AM #31 | The CPA firm I work at has a similar policy, but only for people working in executive positions that make 6 figures and it's not a full 8 hour day thing on a saturday. It's basically an extra day that gives us extra time to catch up such as double checking coworkers work, attending rescheduled meetings that couldn't be done during the week due to, answering voice mails and/or emails, etc. It makes sense for executives to work a little more than their staff that works under them because ultimately we're the ones more likely to come out of retirement in a better condition.

Reminder that Butch Hartman is a hardcore conservative evangelical, and a huge believer on the Seven Mountain Mandate. Also that he scammed fans for kickstarter donations for an under-the-table Christian propaganda streaming network. He also believes that "introverts" are seflish and that autism can be "cured" through prayer. Yep, terrible person overall, but fairly oddparents absolutely played a huge role in my childhood that I am grateful for though. --- DI MOLTO! |

With that said, it absolutely played a huge role in what many battle shonens still take from it to this day and I'm glad for Toriyama's contribution to the anime/manga industry as a whole....even though he did write that fucked up red lady comic.

Biden is lion because I watch Takashii from Japan and he interviews lots of foreigners and locals about foreigners living in Japan and for the most part everyone seems to get along. Biden is most likely talking about the government, not the people when referring to a country by its name. A lot of Japanese people are actually fairly progressive, but it's the government that is primarily ran by a bunch of old people. I do wish that we had more time with Magneto as a good guy, he only was" the leader" for like two episodes before he's radical again...the problem when your rushed for time. But Spiderman plus Onslaught hype is real. Same, this series would've benefitted with some more "fillers" seeing as how character heavy driven this show is. It just shows that even she agrees that Magneto's way, while not preferred, is the most "practical". I wonder how Xavier is going to react to all of this, this season has been amazing so far. Episode 4 was the only episode so far that felt pointless, but there's nothing wrong in having fillers either.

See, that's why I like Isekai Uncle. It's that as a tongue and cheek joke and he doesn't even know what Tsundere is because he got hit by Truck-kun in like the year 1999. He's also constantly talking about Mega Drive and Sega Saturn. Yeah I notice the only Isekai's that people actually like are parody's (like konosuba) or ones that actually try to do something different from the same Isekai formula. It's kind of insane how you can tell which Isekai's are souless/shameless by seeing how "to the books" they are lol. It was kind of crazy that at one point "battle shonens" and "slice of life" animes were the ones flooding market and now I wish we got more of those. --- DI MOLTO! |

| Prestoff 04/30/24 5:07:00 PM #12 | Isekai has been around forever, but the specific Isekai's that has been flooding the anime scene are specifically Harem Isekai where it's some Japanese male that somehow gets transported into a medieval setting where they are overpowered as fuck, women exist to fall in love with the MC because the plot demands it, and every other guy exists to make the MC look good. I used to think Battle Shonens with "tournament arcs" were lazy as fuck, which I admit is my guilty pleasure, but a lot of the newer Isekai's basically don't even try anymore. SAO isn't exactly an Isekai, but it played a huge role in the popularity with the Isekai genre we see now.
