I dunno... it looks like it might turn out to be a good game. I haven't made a decision on it one way or another. I do get a little anxious whenever it shows up at the press conference though, because it chews up so much time and I don't really care to see more until it's ready to come out.

ive played the game several times and there is absolutely 0 grinding required to get through the game. wouldn't take long to level up if you did decide to grind because metal slimes award absurd amounts of exp.

I don't consider it grinding to go looking for a chest on the far side of the hill, but to some people it does. so when we say that it's not that grindy, they think it is

I think that's what it comes down to. I call it a grind if I need to explore 100% and do all side-content in order to stay leveled with the main story. Now, I always do that anyway, so the "grind" doesn't bother me in DQ8. But I mean... if you go straight to Dhoulmagus when the story directs you to, most people are gonna get stomped. Similarly, if you make a beeline for the waterfall in the beginning, which is where the game tells you to go...

Again though, it's mostly semantics to me. I enjoyed the pacing.

On the topics and interviews that made him famous, I mostly agree. I don't think he's saying anything particularly enlightening... mostly just common sense arguments that have been passed up by a cultural pendulum that's swung too far.

I'm not really the audience for his self-help stuff, but it seems harmless. His religious material doesn't speak to me and I'm totally tuned out of that. I think he's mostly a positive force.

Rey hasn't done much outside of getting captured twice. The men are still saving the day-- Poe and Han in TFA, Luke in TLJ.

Rey's big finale moments:
-getting the upper hand in a lightsaber duel against an opponent who was bleeding out and purposely keeping her alive
-lifting some rocks

She's strong in the force but her resume isn't that impressive. Luke accomplished way more in his first movie.

I enjoyed the first 8 episodes of Season 5 but they're some of the weakest, imo. There just aren't very many true laugh-out-loud moments or quotable jokes. Seasons 1 and 2 were so densely packed that I'd miss half the references and have to rewatch; Season 5, not so much.
