I just find it interesting that these 2 guys want to steer the team and projects in the complete opposite direction, and both are trying to convince the boss of their viewpoint.

It'll suck for me when I'm tasked to do one thing and then scrap it to do the complete opposite, and I'm trying to stay out of it as much as possible, be no more than a fly on the wall

They even hang out outside of work every week. I've been invited yeah, but when I did go I noticed quickly how much the dynamics changed and how they have more in common with the new guys than they do with me, same passion and interests and tastes.

They've become fast friends and I'm super jealous, but I dont have anyone to share this insecurity with.

We've been working together for 5 years and been friends 4 years, going out and even traveling together. Its weird seeing Ryan Reynolds in those serious action roles. Hes fine in them, but it always feels like theyre wasting his talents. I got the same vibe from Self/less.

I'm glad they dropped this in favor of his comedic talents. Deadpool really was a landmark movie, they finally got it right.

Vegeta is what makes the show interesting. If he died at the end of the Saiyan Saga he wouldn't have been very interesting and the show would have suffered immensely. His long term change from villain to uneasy alliance to jealous rival to hero was over such a long stretch it felt earned.

It was just okay. Kinda generic. I thought Reynolds would be more quippy in it like a pre deadpool audition, but they were pushing him as all serious in this movie and it just made the whole thing pretty lame

The second film ends with Matt Damon killing that guy with his car, then getting away. Then he goes to russia (or he was already in russia maybe) and goes to visit the daughter of the people he killed in his first hit, in which he killed a politician but his wife was there so he has to kill her too, then plants the gun on her so it looks like a murder suicide. He tells the daughter what really happened, so she has closure and doesnt hate her mom. Great scene. The next scene shows Matt Damon calling Joan Allens character and her being like yo, thank you, I believe youre a good guy. Btw I figured out your real name and birthday. Its David Webb (iirc) and tells him his birthday. He is kinda like hmm.. and then says get some rest, you look tired or something like that. Those three scenes are back to back to back so were led to believe theyre back to back to back timeline wise.

then the third movie starts, and a bunch of shit happens, Matt Damon and Joan Allens character learn about black briar which Matt Damon was the first person to do, which was treadstone but more fucked up, thats why hes so Superman. The main government guy in the third one does a bunch of illegal shit in the name of national security, and Joan Allen starts being like hmmm no thats not cool. Bad government guy starts following her and is trying to kill Matt Damon.

halfway through the movie (or maybe a little less than halfway like Deadbankerdream said, but remembering back its one of the last things that happen so I honestly think it might be more than halfway) we get to the point where Matt Damon calls Joan Allens character and were given the same scene from the second movie where she tells him his name and shit. So the entire first half of the third movie takes place between the second to last and last scene of the second movie. And the scene makes way more sense in context of whats going on, and Joan Allen gives him a code of the address where hes supposed to go to, because she tells him the wrong birthday. I thought it was brilliantly done, and super surprising.

That's honestly pretty amazing of the trilogy if it's consistent

These are pretty tame/standard things that shows change when they try to work out the kinks after the pilot. I mean heck, George once said he had brothers but I dont think we ever saw them in the shows run and his parents don't reference them.

And it had a star studded cast too, I really wanted to see Keira Knightley in her prime. And Rosamund Pike lowkey great too. But the movie just seemed like another English old timey movie

Its like sense and sensibility with pretty much the same story beats but not nearly as good as that movie nor as witty.

The sex scenes (especially with dany) are more uncomfortable than erotic... maybe its just me but danaeras and drogo's relationship seemed almost romantic to me in the book, like a beauty and the beast type of situation. He was a warlord savage tribal killer yes, but he was also a gentle giant when it came to dany and being with her.

Here it was very uncomfortable watching him pound away like that, even watching it alone.

Also I know dany's handmaidens jiqiu and irri, but who the heck is this doreah, I dont remember her. Does she just exist for sex appeal, to "teach dAny the ways of the sex"

Watching the obvious dragon egg foreshadowing and I wonder how mindblowing it was for non book readers to see those dragon eggs turn into dragons... I almost want to skip ahead

You know, jaime being a kingslayer isn't nearly as bad as him pushing a child out the window. What were they going to do with the mad king, throw him in prison? Sentence him to exile? Of course murder was the only recourse. Jaime should be known as child crippler, not king slayer. I hate that he gets away with it.

Also wtf at them spoiling jon snow's mother wylla in the very next episode of the premiere. If I hadn't read the books I'd be pissed, my friend was right about the show spoiling stuff that either wasn't revealed in the books or revealed muuuch later like in book 3.

I really like the actor for uncle benjen, great casting he looks so similar to Sean bean too (although it would have been amazing if they got faramir for this as well). I know his fate but can't wait for the show to reveal him as coldhands from the books since its a visual medium and they can't hide it like the books can.

They really make us hate Sansa as much as we do in the books, actually choosing this ugly ass Joffrey over her own family... sucks that her direwolf has to pay for her disloyalty.

What do you guys think the direwolves even symbolize? In the books half of them are either dead or gone, and I dont know if it's meant to foreshadow their owner's impending death or anything like that

I still can't forget first reading the books and reading jaime pushing bran out the window, knowing nothing about the series except there were many deaths. I almost stopped reading there from how horrified I was at the author actually killing kids, and from their point of view?

Was wrong about that death but right about others so.

Anyway finished episode 2: The Kingsroad. The direwolves are already grown up wow. I love jon and arya's relationship, just as adorable as I read in the book. Its so sad seeing all the stark children going their separate ways, this is gonna be the last time they're all together in one place (they've literally been separated for like 10 years now)

I like to think of myself as having watched a ton of hentai, and I have no idea what I'm supposed to be seeing besides getting angry at a bunch of dumb frat group drunk at night doing stupid shit and enjoying themselves.

I used to think unironically caring about graphics was just a thing people on the internet did. But then I hung out with actual people and some gamers seeing their setup in real life, and they really are graphics obsessed. It made me sad. I'd be fine with like, sock puppet level graphics as long as the game is fun and gives me temporary escape from my reality. But that's just me.

Not really. His progression from villain to anti-hero to actual hero is pretty clear. And a lot of it comes from wanting to atone for his past now, like protecting the Namekians against Moro.

Dany has a bit of a "staring blankly" look to her. Also does anyone else feel the wedding night scene was a bit more... rapey than it was in the books? I mean yeah its still technically rape since she was like 14 and sold off to marry some khal, but the scene in the books was a lot more... tender.
