I just ordered a Slimfold original softshell, hoping it's a good wallet.

I've been using a leather bifold wallet for over 10 years now, one branded as Botany 500. Ready to retire it for something a little nicer.

A cheap ass one I got at a dollar store 15 years ago.

Been wallet free since the start of the pandemic, I keister all my I.d. and cards and keep a little emergency cash in my sock

I got a huge ass leather wallet. It took getting used to but I wanted to carry a badge considering I take pride in my job. Didn't like the old fashioned flip badge wallets cause it doesn't hold money that well. Seen officers resort to putting rubber bands on them so their money doesn't fall out

What I like is I never make it far before realizing I don't have it if I forgot it.

Yeah there is definitely something to be said about the size of an old fashioned leather wallet. Fingers crossed this new wallet doesn't result in any mishaps, given the thin profile. I have been very good about never forgetting my current wallet due to the size.

I used a traditional fold up wallet for my entire life. Just a few months ago, I finally decided to go with a non-folding one. Ive been happy with it, since it takes up a lot less space. Only $15 on Amazon at the moment, apparently.

this thing. daily carry for over 2 years now, it's flawless. it's the ridge wallet but for a fraction of the price.

I currently have 7 cards in it (there are slots on the reverse side as well), and Im guessing I could comfortably fit 10-12 total in it if I wanted to.

Full grain leather bifold with a 100 year warranty on the wallet. 2-3 years old and just starting to get some ok patina.

A Deadpool wallet that looks like comic pages. Got it at a flea market for $3 like 2 years ago.

A levi trifold i found in a target parking lot 15 years ago.

I've been using this Banzai Bill wallet since I was around 20, so about 12 years or so. The chain has long since broken off, the buttons have fallen off, the leather is worn and torn, the underlay is exposed and frayed, and the paint has rubbed off the edges of the metal Banzai Bill.

No plans to replace it anytime soon.

I have an old ostrich skin one I got decades ago and still use. That non-folding one looks kinda interesting, though.

As said this one is also a bit larger cause it has a badge in it. It's a bi fold that has 3 flaps.

It's great for work cause it has 3 spots for id's. And I got my drivers license my staff ID and my state issued conceal carry(my job gives me a conceal carry) plus the normal slots for debit cards

Nothing really special, a black leather Levi's I got a long time ago. It's starting to show its age though, I'll probably need to look for a new one myself soonish

I just cram everything up my asshole.

Mine is a slim wallet made of leather and for specifically holding cards. Since I've stopped using cash almost completely for probabaly 3 or so years now.

It carries cash very well. More often than not I don't have cash on me these days, but I've many times carried in the range of 5+ bills at a time, twice folded so they fit neatly to the shape of the wallet, with zero concern that anything was insecure. The strap has plenty of tension without being a pain to get anything in or out from under, it's actually really easy. There's also the clip option instead of the band which seems fine too.

I'm pretty convinced that this, and presumably many of the other, knockoff Ridge clones are not only the exact same design but same quality components, just for way less than the Ridge which has marketing everywhere.

I read plenty of reviews back then, and the only thing I remember some of the cheapest knockoffs lacking was beveled edges where the two sides meet together, which is important so your cards slide in easily. Mine and I'm sure most or all of the others in the ~$20 range have them.

I've been using a Ridge wallet for a few years now. Had a cheap knock-off version for about a year before that. It was alright, but the quality is so clearly better from Ridge that I think it's worth it. I took the cash clip off entirely and only use it for cards. I keep a separate money clip for cash, but I rarely use it. Most of the time I'm paying with my phone anyway to get perks back from Samsung Pay.

I do highly recommend slim wallets. Doesn't necessarily need to be Ridge, though. But I can confirm that Ridge does make high quality stuff. It's been a few years and there's still not a scratch on the matte black finish.

I suggest getting a really dirt cheap one first and using it for a bit to get a feel for them. See what options you use and don't use, and what problems you have. Then find a high quality one that has exactly what you need.
