Like, my wife and I were at the mall last week and while we were in ThinkGeek, there was some doof talking the cashier girl's head off about video games and anime for like 20 minutes without actually buying anything, while she politely yessed him the whole time.
We then went into FYE later, and the same guy came in and was talking to I guess his friends, telling him about how he really hit it off and how great it was going, and how he might go in again next week to see her, and we were just like "Eughhhhhhh".

I know you're not talking about doing that exact same thing (or at least I HOPE you don't lol) but this topic kinda brings it to mind, the same kinda vibe.

Gotta learn somehow, if he fucks it up, that sucks...but even then it really isnt a big deal

In a 2 year span, I applied 100 times, to the same agency

(not necessarily the same post, but the same position...its a massive gov agency with dozens of different locations and divisions)

I was selected to interview 33 times, or 1 in 3 applications (I cancelled the last 3 interviews after getting hired)

I made final cut 6 times, or 1/5 interviews (when it comes down to me and 1 other candidate...being an Asian male in an asian male dominated field of engineering really hurts me there)

I got one formal job offer (I got 1 under the table job offer, but the manager got promoted out of the hiring position before it could be enacted)

I actually love it too because there's often not enough work for a 10 hour shift, so I do a lot of web browsing too. I could not work in our other building where there's no cubicles. That would suck so much, and make it harder for me to work since I need my own little space to myself to think in.
