My woman is out of town, and it's a cold and rainy evening alone in my apartment. I can't think of a better night to load up on caffeine and marathon what many here consider to be the greatest video game ever made.

Before I start, is there anything I should be aware of? Missables, etc? I'm going into this pretty blind, having only played the beginning once or twice years ago.

I suppose I'll check in periodically with my progress/comments, as I am hoping to maybe beat at least half of it tonight. It is the N64 version, by the way.

(Yes, I am doing this instead of the Mario series because I simply can't get into SMB2 for whatever reason.)
