Can't stand those "chimes" in Act 2

Like most Act 2s, the music is very much an answer to a question presented within the theme of Act 1. Flying Battery Zone asks us how far we're willing to go through vile machina to save our friends. Act 2 attempted to reply with a single milestone beat: "very." But this presents us with a philosophical conundrum. Namely, do we feel the groove, the urge to tap our feet in a stalwart gotta-move? If the answer is no, then Act 2 has failed us, and we must needs reevaluate our journey.

Pokemon is still my my favorite franchise so yeah

But I have to admit Sun and Moon..were really weak
It's weird because when I first played I liked them, but in hindsight they were very, very very weak
They pretty much killed exploration, something that has been a thing even in the often-disliked XY games
There is nothing more disappointing to get into Resolution Cave, which is probably the last area most players get to visit in Sun and Moon..and it looks like it's a unique cave (shaped like Terminus Cave) and there is a giant middle ground in the middle..a place where you can expect a legendary Pokemon
But instead this is a Zygarde Cell
This is the last damn area you visit, and the reward is Zygarde Cell..for fuck sake?

In case anyone want to see a very rare case of positive Nanis, here-
I did my part


I don't have what to talk about the rest of the episode which was nice but...
I want to address how amazing the battle was

This is the standard I expect from high budget movies, this is why I get disappointed when people praise trash like Man of Steel and Dunkirk and they are all just boring EXPLOSIVES AND SPECIAL EFFECTS that lack any soul behind them, it's like giving a ten years old to play with Power Point for the first time and he is making those AMAZING ROTATING SLIDES WHOOO

But not here, this battle was 10/10
It started with a buildup, Bronn hears something (which I didn't, oh well) and we still don't see anything
I expected a Dragon, then it turns out to be just the Dothraki..a lot of them.
The little details that are absent from those "10/10 movies" start to show up - we can see a soldier shaking
Jaime says "we can hold them off" and then we can hear a dragon
For the first time in the entire show I am happy to see Daenrys, because stuff is going to be interesting
The dragon emerged from the cloud, flying above the Dotraki, and a scene we waited for so long to see finally came - the power of a dragon against infantry units
The next scene shows the lannister army protecting themselves with the shields from the fire, and those that got hit collapsing and their helmet falls down
The Dotraki horses comes through the fire
They stomp on a corpse - a corpse that looked like it turned into ashes
People that are caught on fire start running, one of them gets hit by a horse
Horses with a wagon on fire are running away
People on fire try to go to the lake but it's too late
A man takes off his helmet, only to show his face completly melted

Those details, this variety of scenes in one battle is what made it so good
It's not just the "omg it's fire", it's how they used it, it's how they showed the different ways it affects the stuff it hits

There was also the matter of not knowing how the battle will end - there are no good guys, you don't expect a good ending so it makes the battle more interesting not knowing the outcome
And while a Daenrys victory would make more sense (had she lost this battle it would be over for her..) I still wondered what will happen to her dragon
Will it get hit? will it die?

And who was I supposed to root for? fuck the Lannisters, but I liked Jaime..fuck Daenrys and her cheat-code dragon, but I don't want her to lose again
So who do I root for? this is also a thing that made the battle more interesting
Will Jaime die? it seemed like it would be his end
And then the ending. the silence was perfect

So yes, if you want to know why I hate those so called 10/10 movies, it's because they lack the soul that this battle had, it's because they are predictable, it's because they have one side you root for and that side wins 99.99% of the time
But not here, not in this battle - it had soul, it wasn't predictable, and it was hard to choose who to root for
