Most movie swords have terrible blade profiles, regardless of sharpness, to make them less dangerous during filming.

proper controlled form results in 1 push-up being 9 seconds long. That would be 3 minutes and 18 seconds, not counting any natural pauses someone could do

basically, none of these tests promote slow, controlled movements. None of it promotes time under tension. This is just promoting shortcuts in form.

Well what constitutes a full pushup is always up for debate.

But since the adjudication is generally the opinion of the PTI staff, I'd suggest not pissing them off.

Otherwise your count may be, 1, not low enough, 1, still not there, 1,1,1 etc

It isn't scary standards.

I'm over 50, and that's easily achievable stuff (I quite understand that others have picked up injuries or conditions, got more than a few issues and twinges myself, just not enough that these minimal conditions would present much of an obstacle).

Of course, the youngsters ought to do much, much better. It's a not unreasonable base fitness level tbh.

Still wouldn't want to join the organisation obviously.

Haven't watched series 3 for context.

I confess I've always felt it suffered from a not uncommon problem.

Part 1 is jolly good fun, much entertainment is had by putting an endgame protagonist into an early game scenario.

Said entertainment provides audience and money from the engaged, leading to professionally drawn manga, plus anime.

Excited by their revenue, the big boys want more, which leads to.

Part 2

We already did all the jokes, here's some tonk we're pushing out for the money.

At my best I was doing
over 200 sit-ups in 2 minutes
3 mile(5k) in 17-19
18-27 pull ups

Edit: lol forgot the disqualifier - I can barely manage 2 single count push ups before my wrist collapses. It's extremely frustrating.

Those are some impressive figures! (See i maintain my commitment to truth even about Bootneck scum.)

Really sorry to hear about your injuries, and I wish you the best in managing and recovering from them.

that run is faster than the military (11 minutes for 1 mile) so hell no. But then again, I doubt any ice members can pass that either so those requirements are only on paper

I question that a bit, and not necessarily on which military grounds.

Back in the day (British Army for context), extra run time was granted at certain age brackets. For example, minimum standard for mile and a half (male) was 10.30 (not including 15 min, 1 1/2 mile warm up), but at age 30 that would increase to 11 minutes.

Now these days, basic standards are required for everyone, and as such rather have to be achievable by a 55 year old woman of reasonable fitness.

This doesn't mean of course, that an 18 year old paratrooper will find his platoon staff satisfied by this very minimum standard. But it does provide context for the (and let's honest) slow run times required by ICE.

(Look, the new Gestapo depresses me too, but it is better to be truthful. Attempting to out lie Stazi propaganda is a fools errand, and unmanly too.)

The behind the scenes stuff for the show is such a mess. A lot of people that got their car "pimped out" ended up in a worst position than before like the car would be unusable; they would had to tear down the stuff, and make the car unsellable. Also a lot of it was fake as well because the cars wouldn't even function right. It was purely all cosmetic.

Accurate, in a bored moment or two (especially over Covid) I saw a few exposes on this.

The screens etc were generally removed after filming, and the vehicles often remained fundamentally mechanically unsound.

So you guys think the atom bombs led to fewer civilian deaths? Sorry if I misunderstood something, just delving into this topic for the first time.

im trying to see if the us had options that would have led to fewer civilian deaths than the atom bomb. Then Im trying to figure out the American soldier death toll of either option. Then Im trying to calculate what was most ethical. I dont know how to weight things though. Were WWII American soldiers drafted?

any help would be cool

No one can be entirely certain in these matters.

In direct answer to one of your questions, yes US servicemen were drafted.

As others have noted, conventional bombing had already exacted a higher death toll than the atomic bombs did without prompting unconditional surrender.

The high level of resistance to the Okinawa invasion might also be considered, including the mass suicide of some of the civilian population on the instructions of the Japanese government.

Perhaps an earlier agreement might have been possible, but if it had left the same military imperialists in charge, what would truly have changed?

Not to say the decisions made were necessarily the best, but there were reasons for them.
