I don't think theres ever been an instant of Kami band ever miming their instruments on stage live. The only time there has been "miming" is when Babymetal has played through pre-recorded tracks sometimes (Which isn't uncommon with live performances) and is needed for the choreography. A majority of their live performances are actually NOT mimed except for the backing vocals. Especially nowadays.

Back when they had the Babybones band (the dudes in skeletal suits) those guys were miming to the backing tracks which might be what he's griping about, but yeah ever since the Kami band came in, which was pretty early on, they haven't really been miming outside of Moa/Yui/Momo when they're dancing.

It's pretty well known that when they started they didn't have the Kami band and just danced to backing tracks. But they've had a live band in every show for over a decade, and Su absolutely kills it live, she's not miming. Moa/Yui/Momo definitely still use some level of tracks for their vocals but they're also going full steam dancing the whole time.

Baby metal has guitar, drum, bass, key, and vocal backing tracks. You can get fucked up and ignorant about it, but it's what it is, and metalheads tend to want to see a good instrumental performance. These are obvious reasons some metalheads wouldnt be all that into Babymetal, but feel free to pretend like it's something else.
