I'm not sure why anonymity brings out the worst in me, and why I seek it out when I don't like that side of myself. But I was taken aback when you recognized me months after that, because I guess I just took for granted that when I said stupid shit without malicious intent that it would be perceived in the way I intended it. Which isn't really a reasonable assumption when someone knows nothing about you. Then I doubled down a little because I felt guilty and didn't want to accept that I was in fact out of line. It does bother me a little to think that any stupid shit I've said has made you feel bad, so I'm sorry.

MonkeySee 12/26/18 12:51:25 PM #24	A perfectly natural thing. Relationships tend to be founded on common interests, and it's not surprising they'd be found on a message board like this. And it's pretty clear that this board attracts people who don't have much luck at conventional dating (or other social interaction), giving incentive to value relationships (of any sort) formed here more highly. The distances involved will make it difficult to turn it into an IRL thing, but some have. And some are content to leave it as a long-distance relationship to make themselves feel a little less lonely. If this board were 50% women, CElationships would be more prevalent than IRL relationships tbh.

Joestarrr is going to blame everyone else for her problems and refuse to consider taking any accountability. Zodd, DDF, Vyrulisse, Crimson, et al. are going to come in and berate her for having no self-awareness in apparent hopes that the 100th time will be the charm and not just fuel her paranoia. I'd go for it for $8 million. I've never really had to lose weight before, but I'm pretty confident I could do it.

I handle failure relatively well from long experience, and when it's failure because of someone else that's like an improvement for me. So generally I'm pretty chill and encouraging when others make mistakes. I might eventually get annoyed when the same mistake is repeated enough that I feel they aren't learning from it.

Anyway trip was to Six Flags. She finally got over her fear and rode her first real roller coaster. Later on a few of us want to ride the new big bad roller coaster there before we have to leave and it's like a 40 minute wait. At about minute... 35, her anxiety is kicking into overdrive and really didn't want to be there. I walked out with her knowing that I'd lose my spot in line. Her and her boyfriend had apparently broken up 2 hours prior and he was part of the group of us in line. A grade school girlfriend I hadn't gotten over was also in the group along with 2 bullies of mine. I didn't hang out with her because I hated all of her friends. That whole day, I had been trying to "sell myself" with another chick I had met within the last 2 or 3 weeks of middle school. She was part of the group. The bullies were getting along better with her than I was. In front of my ex. My social anxiety is in overdrive... and this is probably minute 28. I needed her help just as much as she needed mine. Either way as a young person, I decided that my desire to ride a roller coaster I'd ridden a few times before and my desire to impress a chick were something I could be ok with sacrificing in order to help a friend. Hell, I gotta talk to her about this again. Some of those minor details are things I just now recalled for the first time in 15 years and didn't even realize. Turns out, I was the first person she ever felt safe around. The first person who was able to get her anxiety to disappear. And as I said, I was a social anxiety mess so my ability to understand social dynamics and cues and the implications of what I'm saying were abysmal especially because I had no clue what SAD even was then... You don't have to move a mountain to give a person a reason to love you. EDIT: Ugh, I'm having a low blood sugar attack. So I'll give a more coherent story when I make the edit, that is if it's necessary. Awww, that's really cute. Thanks for sharing your story. May you continue to find comfort in each other.

As early as a couple weeks later, he pretended to have no idea what I was talking about when I asked about it. I never got it back. It was so sad. I loved that game. I wish I could remember which it was and find and play it again for nostalgia.

These are posters I've noticed talk differently to women than men.
