Recently I've been trying to be less self-conscious and do some practicing, because it's a shame to waste the instrument you've been given. I'm not holding my breath for ever being anything worth listening to, but I like to think if I practice enough that I can bring myself up to some sort of competence eventually. And it feels nice to let loose and not care what people think. Cathartic, kinda. Houston posted... Nice! You nailed it at the end when you sang "been waiting alll my liiifeee" Haha yeah, I probably should have done a few more takes to do a little better on the verse, but I was excited about that. Was expecting the falsetto to be far more embarrassing, not the highlight. Thanks for the kind words. |

I think it would do people a world of good to be less self-conscious and more open to trying new things. Nearly everyone likes music, and nearly everyone has the ability to make it. I would do my best to make it a supportive environment to encourage people to share their passion. This place is filled to the brim with introverts who struggle to express themselves. What better way to do that than the cathartic release of emotion in music? I was worried it would be too lame, but I think it would be fun if people gave it a chance. Zerox7152 posted... FF_Redux: 6.5 A pleasant, melodic voice. The kind of voice that loves to hear itself talk. GregShmedley: 3.5 Sounds like a voice that needs to lose some weight. One that's accustomed to yelling and swearing. Kind of a mean, unfriendly voice. Flockaveli: 5.5 Sounds like a voice that keeps to itself. A little slow, like the tongue is used to being tied. Sounds like a voice that needs to be drunk to let loose. _Lyonidias: 5 Honestly, it sounds a little like a child's voice. A voice people might struggle to take seriously. Not displeasing despite the high tones. I want to hear what your singing voice sounds like. sleepysausage: 7 A bit nasally, but not in a bad way. It pairs with the accent well. I like this voice. nevershine: 8.5 A top-notch voice. Very rich and suave. Popcorn_Fairy: 6.5 I like it, and I like listening to you sing. I like the low vibrato. SSJCAT: 4.5 The kind of voice that often threatens to trail off into nothing mid-sentence, like the sun going behind the clouds. Drpooplol: 4 I'm on the fence about your voice, but I liked your rendition of the monologue. Serious Cat: 5.5 A nice, soothing cadence. A little too Thermitey for my tastes, but it's not so bad when it's a touch more restrained. SableWolfAngel: 4.5 Yeah, there's definitely some nasal twang there. You sound more like a Nancy to me. Your voice makes you sound a little frumpy and prim IMO, which makes me laugh because that's not a way I would have characterized you before. Leanaunfurled: 4 I hope you don't raise your voice too often. You have a tone that could cut right through some eardrums if you started screeching. It's not so bad in quiet, ordinary talk. Aeriis: 5 A bit breathy and tentative. Your voice sounds like it gets startled by shadows and blown around by the wind. Let's hear you plant your feet, take a deep breath, and give us a bellow! Pancake: 6.5 I feel like Drpooplol was more in character. I wasn't feeling the auctioneer angle quite so much. Your voice, on the other hand, goes well with the scratchiness of the recording. You sound like you're coming straight from the 1950s. |
