Really just kind of is "Stranger Things" the alternate universe, with the exception that kids can see the monsters but adults cannot. The body count and impact doesn't compare though.
Read an issue of one called "We Only Find Them When They Are Dead" and it's about space miners that harvest tissue and organs from dead gods in space, the concept reminded me a bit of Knowhere in Guardians of the Galaxy. --- And as the people bend, The moral fabric dies, Then country can't pretend to ignore its peoples cries. |

Mysterious blonde girl with blades shows up, gives the impression that she goes town to town hunting them. Art is excellent, character writing pulled me in pretty quick, flows like Invincible did for me.
Also vol 1 of Kill or be Killed, Guy is down in life and his roommate is banging the girl he loves. Decides to kill himself by jumping off a 6 story building. Regrets it on the way down, hits some clothing lines and drops into snow, winds up surviving. Demon shows up and tells him he cheated death, now that he wants to live, once a month he must take an evil life or else he dies. Concept reminds me a bit of Dexter. Like both of them a lot so far, gonna continue with both. --- And as the people bend, The moral fabric dies, Then country can't pretend to ignore its peoples cries. |

I buy a lot of physical but I'm paying sometimes 15 bucks for something I read in 30 minutes. I heard someone mention humble bundle has some sales, is it a bunch of digital comics and graphic novels for a lower price? I suspect it has something to do with Steam, which I've never used in my life.
I read a lot of first few volumes of stuff I like, the digital and physical for the additional ones are close to full price on Amazon. --- And as the people bend, The moral fabric dies, Then country can't pretend to ignore its peoples cries. |

| MabusIncarnate 07/03/23 5:02:17 AM #354 | Started on Hack Slash, heard it was good, but the covers always have these dominatrix leather bound women on it and thought it was gonna be sex heavy. It's nothing like I expected, a girl finds a friendly giant that wears a gas mask that follows her around. They team up and kill slashers, each book is a self contained story about them tracking and killing a serial killer. Each book has a different artist so far, one issue had a few comic creators in it as characters like Skottie Young. It runs from a religious psycho killing spring break teenagers to weird mutated and supernatural killers. It has some humor, a lot of gore and profanity, no nudity so far. The first two omnibusses are on comixology so I got 800+ pages to burn through. Read the first volume of Chew also, about a detective that can solve crimes by eating things at the scene, from food to severed fingers. | MabusIncarnate 06/28/23 2:27:58 PM #340 | Black Science has been really awesome, kind of like a dark Quantum Leap beyond their control, they keep hopping system to system, no idea where they wind up, in the middle of a war, or a planet with a pack of vicious alien toads, it feels like classic sci-fi, and the art keeps blowing me away. Most volumes are on friggin Comixology which is nice, most they offer the first volume or two free and then want you to pay for the rest. I wish the app was so much better, Marvel Unlimited is great, so is the DC Universe app, if they could figure out a general one with both of those, Image, Dark House, I would pay $50 a month for as much as I read if everything they offered was complete. I left off on Volume 5 of Saga and i'm still kind of annoyed because I don't really wanna buy the next 7. --- "They speak of progress, in red, white and blue. Main character meets a retired gladiator, that seems to be heavily respected and recognized everywhere he goes.
