That said, if there seems to be a lack of male achievement lately, I'd point out that it might feel that way due to the increased focus on female achievement in the past 30-40 years. As for where men are clearly failing, I'm not so certain its that they're failing as it is they're either being blocked or men are subconsciously reacting to this sudden movement from men being needed to not needed. The catch being that before we were more needed than wanted and the lack of need is not being replaced by an equal input into the "want/desired" category while women are now seeming to benefit from not just "want" but "need"....so now subconsciously men are doing less because they don't feel anything to light that fire under them. Instead us men are on a large scale (not individually) trying to figure out how to be happy with the new position we find ourselves in society. So if no longer being the top earner and hard worker is a requirement, there's just...well, we get left figuring out what to do with ourselves. At least, that's all at a first cursory glance. As for notes in-game, I tend to only take notes of the most important things the players do, and that's so I can devise new customized feats tailored specifically for their characters and add them free of charge when they do amazing things or unexpected story things. Also to have NPCs denote events and remind the players that the world is alive and watching them. Edit: on public speaking, unless you're playing in a public space I don't get it. It's just a group of close friends, usually. Is it being played with strangers or in public? Winging it > Planning it Use the notes if you need to remember key details about characters and never plan a response because you have no idea what the fuck is about to come out of a player's mouth. Know the character and their general personality and you'll be able to form a response on the fly or at least a response that makes sense and stays in form with the character. The best notes are generally ones that are stat related or environment related. Things that mostly stay static and don't change often or only change if you act on them. Organization is best with whatever makes you feel comfortable. If you like a table of contents in your notebook, go that route. If you prefer sticky notes, use those. At the end of the day, it is your goal to provide fun and have fun. Super details and pre-planned things often run counter to these concepts in all but the most important of scenes. And still, the most important scenes are the ones that directly involve the input of the PCs. I changed the exercises a bit and I'm starting at the 21 lb. mark with my dumbbells. Arms were sore for a few days, but as today goes on, they don't feel so bad anymore. Alright, time to spend summer focusing on getting better at this. And hopefully acquire a proper bench at some point. I am finished with heavy cardio focus to lose weight so I'm letting work take care of light cardio requirements I set. Anytime work is slow or doesn't have me move enough, I will be getting on the treadmill at home after work before bed. Welp, it's good to be back. And on the bright side, I have plenty of protein supplements left to help this time. Off to work soon. Even down to letting you rig stats so you don't waste your life breeding and carefully EV battling just the right pokemon. It turned a 100+ hour chore into about a 20-40 hour fare of selective building and light grinding. Everything else took a backseat. I'd see allowing them to charge up to 25k (maybe 30k, but that's a stretch), but if you wanna be pricier than that, you're on your own as an institution. I feel like that would allow the private places to compete to a degree and give them incentive to either be more inclusive or more elite in the quality of education they offer.
