The view tends to be basically: if you're passing off bad deeds/things to an invisible guy you're an unaccountable asshole. If you're passing off good deeds/things to God, then you're just a silly person seeking comfort in the universe. Which is almost completely in line with what the book says will happen. By convincing the world he doesn't exist, he can step in and replace God, or so he thinks (and in the meantime the world becomes his worthless version of eden). He will undoubtedly get many to actively side with him. He will present to them the object of worship people seem to think they want and tell them all the sweet sounding solutions. It is solid and playable at its core with some wonky difficulty spikes and obviously new mechanics they hadn't perfected. Fun and memorable but not a game you hurry back to after completion. The second game is where the original series peaked. Perfection of flawed mechanics, seamless implementation of a few new things that improve quality of life, and a fair difficulty flow. Third game is packed with ideas but the execution is literally just a bunch of half-baked concepts that just barely work for the level(s) they're in. Also, this is the first time where I thought a Crash game was a pain in my ass to maneuver and control. Some have even closed in the middle of the day at 3 p.m. or early in the evening around 7 p.m. Several permanent closures of both chain stores and local dining. Even what were once 24 hour gas stations are no longer such. Can't even operate the pumps, as they get locked up to prevent theft as the last worker leaves for the night.
