Like Lobbying? Yeah, I can agree with that. Like how turbo tax lobbies to not allow the govt to provide free tax software or whatever.

Lobbying, making oppressed countries do all your physical labor knowing they still gotta live in shit conditions and gain a microscopic amount from it in contrast to you, etc.

The effect on Americans is kind of in the middle for me. Because I believe we have people hurting that need way more money moved in the direction of fixing their surroundings. But we also have a middle area that's people living ok lives but their mindset is just as greedy but not as ambitious and that's why they have a problem with those living better than them.

But I also think our country has created immense depression and lack of morale by creating an economy where you're expected to work your ass of in a 9-5 while elites constantly flash a lifestyle in your face that will forever be out of reach with that 9-5. Im just waiting for it to boil to the point the poorer realize they can overpower the rich >_>. We just need all this random violence to be aimed in the right direction and then the rich to submit before the violence actually has to occur.

...ok, maybe I am a lil extreme lol. I don't want that to happen, I just see it as tte only outcome to dramatically change the course of things.

I've gotten the same thing for saying I don't support either end. So, my questions aren't coming from that. Im genuinely curious how others who claim to not be loyal to either end feel about billionaires.

Admittedly Id be closer to a communist but in a not extreme way. I think people who do more should get more, I just don't think the difference in ends should be so extreme.

IRL, I don't feel like I play the bad guy in any way but mostly harmless petty ways that I usually immediately call out myself and laugh about. Luckily I have a comfortable enough life and am a minimalist, so I don't have to worry about being the bad guy. If you gotta fight to survive, Im very forgiving of walking a tight line tho. Or if your family treated you like shit and you're trying to fight against the habits they unintentionally taught you.

If we're going light humor or perception of others, I don't mind being seen as the bad guy though. I'll play that shit up lol

I covered that. But tbf, I retract the statement that it means you don't have any empathy. It's more so just the lack of using it for this specific thing.

This works when there is an ethnic binding. People naturally look out for their own race. Just about every non-white race asserts this and whites for the most part have been trained to disbelieve in the existance of race. The "melting pot" influence on societies lowers civic engagement (helping, being involved, empathizing) levels across the board.

Im not a Democrat, Im not anything, but all you gotta do is look at the Democratic party and citizens to see that is completely dumb to think you just overwrote anything I said. Your whole thing is like you've only ever seen the Republican Party. And even then, you find some diversity in places coming together for a mutual bond and cause. Even if that cause is most likely hateful and malicious

When people say "Us" they're attempting to assume others aren't too self absorbed to not see themselves as brothers and sisters to other Americans and assuming they also want the best for those who are also in their country. It's a "we're all in this together" type thing for us with empathy and thought for others.

It's remarkable how many people here are trying to pin this on "fat people" instead of, y'know, the airlines making the seats as small and unaccomodating as possible in order to cram in as many people as they can so *of course* stuff like this would happen eventually.

Many of these same people will then go turn around and lecture other people on the internet about how it's wrong to victim blame, remaining blissfully unaware of their hypocrisy.

Just cause someone thinks it doesn't make sense to make every seat support a 400 pound person, doesn't mean they think the airlines are doing everything right. There's a lot of middleground. How many airlines would not exist if they had to cut their profits in half. Excuse the pun, but how many would of never even made it off the ground?

While I don't mean to make light of that (because that's actually a pretty serious matter, too), it's a very different situation aside from people being willfully ignorant. I 100% agree. I wasn't trying to say it's comparable. It's just the last thing that had to do with society that led me to really feel like shit. The fact I could move past it after a lil over a year isn't a luxury others might have. And I don't make jokes to mock anything but the ignorance of the people who think the things I say ironically. I think it's a hispanic thing to turn everything into jokes lol. Not exclusively, but more consistently. That goofy way hispanics are portrayed in media is 100% my reality with my family >_<.
