1. What is your favorite battle in Chapter 3? Least favorite?

Favorite: The Wiegraf/Velius combo fight yeah. Though it does have the "this is frustratingly hard" problem at times.
Least Favorite: Rooftop where you gotta save Rafa. The fact that stripping a party member is the best tactic to win this battle is just dumb.

2. What is your favorite Chapter 3 moment?

It's kind of a weak chapter for "moments" for me but yeah I guess the Wiegraf showing up->"no Wiegraf, don't open that!" moment is the best.

3. Who is your favorite character in Chapter 3?

Honestly couldn't really say. The Wiegraf story is interesting but it's not something that really makes me like the character. Rafa and Malak are uninteresting. I like Agrias and Mustadio but they sadly fade into the background. Other lesser characters are pretty dry here. I'll give it to Neon my generic Wizard, cause he usually hits full stride around here and starts using summons or draw outs efficiently. What this is totally valid.

4. Also, now that we're being introduced to Ramza's third character design in the game in Chapter 4, what is your favorite Ramza design of the three?

I think I like Chapter 1 best. The little ponytail helps his drab design.

Also, why do I want Twist Headbands instead of Golden Hairpins? I usually just buy whatever has the best defense!

Attack power helps the damage of your elementals/physicals a lot. More valuable than the slight hp increase of the hairpin on geomancers generally.

Little late but I'll answer these anyway.

1. What is your favorite storyline battle in Chapter 2? Least favorite?

Favorite - The gate where you duel Gafgarion. The splitting of the party is really cool and it manages to be somewhat difficult without ever being frustrating-- it's a sweet spot that not too many FFT battles hit. I guess you can abuse rubber boots but I've never done that. And yeah the actual setting/setup for the fight is really good too. (not that frustratingly difficult is necessarily bad, but I'm not a huge fan of it in RPGs/SRPGs)
Least - The hill with the summoners right after you get Mustadio as a guest. The summoners are really obnoxious and the fight itself is filler.

2. What is your favorite Chapter 2 moment?

Probably the waterfall battle. Just a lot of activity there. Gafgarion betrays you, Delita shows up, lots of in battle dialogue. The awesome "royal blood" line by Gafgarion. The reason this isn't my favorite battle is the battle itself isn't very interesting.

3. Who is your favorite character in Chapter 2?

Gafgarion. Just a lot of good quotes and I like how he's pretty much uncaring when money is involved, but as others have said he somehow comes off as a "better person" than most of the bad guys in the game. Interesting villain. One of the only problems I have with this game is that you're unable to do things like go along with Gafgarion when he betrays the party, or try to hire him-- dunno if he would go with you if you offered him more money but I certainly could see him doing it he doesn't seem like the type to honor a contract if a better deal comes around. (probably the last chapter where this choice will be easy!)

I always use Agrias in my SCCs (and sometimes Mustadio and/or Rafa/Malak so everyone looks unique). If that's illegal all SCCs I've attempted have been illegal. I'd use her. Catching her up won't actually be too tough either considering the shared JP from the other party members. Though bringing her along to the execution site might be rather taxing.

I've never done this as a Geomancer SCC but have you considered ignoring Gafgarion at first? He hurts but his damage isn't that ridiculous. It actually might be more worth your time to deal with some of the archers or time mages first.

I've totally failed the Boco mission once or twice before. Doesn't even need crits. Sometimes he gets aggressive and starts choco attacking things while running away from you so he gets counter attacked, doesn't heal himself and the goblins chase him so you can't kill them off.

Like others, my favorite is Zeakden, though Dorter (largely for the music) and the Thieves Fort (animals have no God!) are top tier too. Least favorite is actually probably the second fight with Miluda. It's not a very interesting fight as a fight and Miluda doing the "you might not be bad but I'll keep blaming you until there's change" shtick is kinda dumb. I don't think it's bad writing or anything-- I can absolutely see her thought process and it's kinda realistic probably-- but it's just dumb. For Ramza's side too-- why not just subdue her? It's kinda implied you have her outmatched. Or maybe it's Zeakden cause you kill Algus.

2. What is your favorite Chapter 1 moment?

3. Who is your favorite character from Chapter 1?

Algus is the best character in the whole game and one of the top out there in general, so obviously he's my favorite here. These other guys ripped me off, I swear. Unlike most people who like Algus I actually do like the guy for more than "he's a good villain" though (though yes he's great at this too-- being a jackass and him shooting Teta is oh so nasty). Algus has awesome quotes throughout the whole damn chapter, which really helps make a character good I think. I also appreciate how forthcoming he is in being a douche. You gotta figure that most of the nobles in the game (well, the villains at least, anyway) think like he does otherwise the class divide wouldn't be so prominent, but only he just comes right out and calls the peasants for the sub-humans they are, even if it pisses off the people he's working with. You gotta appreciate that kinda blunt honesty and conviction, even if he's supporting something that's "wrong."

I usually get Hell Ivy, Carve Model, Pitfall as my first three. Strong status effects (for the first two, anyway) and you should be able to use at least one of them without much effort on any map.

Pitfall's the only iffy one there. You might wanna get Demon Fire instead cause sleep is really good and IIRC you get strong coverage in the Thieves Fort with it.

Pretty sure for story battles in chapter 1 the three most common are:

Woods - Hell Ivy, Water Ball
Dorter - Pitfall, Gusty Wind, Demon Fire
Cellar of Sand Mouse (oh yeah) - Pitfall, Hell Ivy, Carve Model
Thieves Fort - Carve Model, Demon Fire, Water Ball
Second Miluda Fight - Hell Ivy, Pitfall, Water Ball
Windmill Shed - Hell Ivy, Pitfall
Algus fight - Whatever the snow one is, Gusty Wind, Demon Fire

Be sure to get the snow one before Algus just so you can use it in one of the 4 fights it's relevant in!

Well yeah the Brave/Faith/Zodiacs aren't all that necessary. I just like it because it makes your generics feel more personalized-- since they're typically the characters I use most of the time. The only guest I ever use with any regularity is Agrias. Mustadio once in a great while. And then Rafalak/Beowulf/Reis/Worker 8 very rarely only if I'm feeling like shaking things up. I'd use Cloud alot but that level 1 start is just too much :/

Also who uses the starting characters? My first moves every game of FFT are to strip all the recruits, dismiss them, and then hire 4 new ones with brave/faith/zodiac I want and renaming them something I like. Sometimes the first one is a placeholder for Agrias (I like having her in slot 2 makes her feel like a more important character... <_<) and I end up hiring a 6th after the first or second battle.

SCC I'm pretty sure your only restrictions are that:

1. You need to be in your SCC class by the first fight at Dorter, until then, you can use any support abilities/etc you want (gained JP up to reach your target class faster is the most important thing)
2. After Dorter, no swapping out of the class or using any reaction, support, move abilities from outside the class. And obviously no secondary ability.

I think there's a general "don't overlevel" clause but I think it's fairly generous-- as long as you aren't levels ahead of the story battles you'll be fine.

Might be wrong there. I've never actually completed a SCC. I'm doing one in the LFT mod right now with archers-- despite archers getting a buff I think it's actually harder than a vanilla SCC with them because every class got buffed. I'm cheating and allowing myself to use secret hunt for random battles to get better bows/gear to help account for this. Think I"m just gonna use vanilla after this point for SCCs should I do another.
