It wasn't super painful. I mean all clears were above 1 minute so it kinda sucked but it only took like 6 tries to get 3 more? Moving Vivi to the bottom slot helped

Also Vivi's jump rope USB proved to be very important in that clear working, which amuses me.

Joining a guild battle is in the guilds section if you are in a guild. I think you need to have been in the guild at the start of the week

If I got her I'd still use her and run 3 mages sometimes to be honest. I think at high level running weird teamcomps tends to work a bit better in general because things hit so hard your typical "bait with tank and counter" strategy is questionable for a lot of stuff since the stuff hits so hard.

But yeah there's a reason I only gave her one draw. Maybe someday if she gets a focus I'll once again have the full Dark Reincarnation.

I could see some uses to her kit for PVE. The big concern is there are limited character slots and for PVE she seems kinda outclassed by Bozel and Lana and running 3 mages is suspicious.

Yeah I had trouble with that one too. How I eventually did it was just ran up immediately, basically speed blitzing and ignoring all the enemies below you. Bait out the attackers that aren't Bozel. Kill them. Then just slam into Bozel with everything you have. Respect Bozel's Black Hole range and don't let him open with that. If you have a stun or high movement attackers that should be what you need. Attack with ranged first to pick off gargoyles then get to work on melee. He's durable but he won't kill you on counters unless you've been softened with Black Hole because his troops aren't ranged

For 4* Magicite here was my general deck ideal deck design, since you seem to have a lot of questions about it.

Offense element guy + empower
Offense element guy + whatever
Defense element guy + dampen
2 Evrae. With whatever

So the ideal here is you use the 'whatevers' to get you one of each of the following: HP Boon, Spell Ward, Blade Ward, and Fast Act in that order of priority. Or Precise Strikes in that 4th slot over Fast Act in physical decks may be better than fast act in many situations, but that depends on your crit fixing situation (I never had crit fix so those precise strikes were more important)

You may also run two dampen types in place of one of the Evraes/offense element guys for guys like Tiamat that have two dangerous elements

Before you get Evrae use something random with a good second ability that gives attack or magic boon. I had Isgebinds most of the time for Precise Strikes.

I also wouldn't stress about fully loading magicite decks before moving on. You don't need fully inherited decks to advance. Rushing to Light Magicite for Evrae will save you some headache in the long run.

I still find the Duel Skills to be annoying because they're skills used to fix the broken scoring system that provide no utility beyond that. At least these are adding function that you shouldn't necessarily just expect to have. It's a bit exploitative but it's not that different from powercreeping normal skills really

I think double wards is a waste of energy on ward 5. Too much diminishing returns. You should go for the one copy of each but not strain yourself for more.

Ward 8 it's good to stack 2 if you can though.

I decided to do one 10x draw just for fun and because I felt like Listell might be kind to me because Dark Cycle often has been.

I actually got a SSR. Also got Imelda and Freya what a draw.

But it was Shelfaniel. Which... I don't mind this! I may even appreciate getting her more than Listell really.

If you go to feats under challenges you can see your SSR rate vs pull rate since both tallies are tracked.

The only thing resembling a pity mechanic is I've heard if you contact support with your rate being sufficiently low they'll give you a free random SSR, but I've also heard people say that's nonsense so I don't know.

Honestly the biggest problem with Omega/Shinryu was the health bar is so damn long and for the most part they're not actually dangerous except out of short bursts.

Failures having like a 15 minute wind up time is annoying.

Don't underestimate breaks. I brought Setzer to beat God Kefka and those counter Ultimas were a lot more manageable.

I kinda wanted to do super Omega/Shinryu for the Arcana but it was just a bit too annoying. I got close a couple of times with my Phoenix team but yeah I dunno I really don't like these Crystal Chronicle RW gimmick bosses in general, even if this one is more straightforward than most. Maybe in the future.

If it makes you feel a bit better if you can survive Phoenix for 10 seconds you have a good chance of winning. That fight is all about staying alive and the opener is arguably the toughest part to piece together. I mean it keeps up the whole fight but I would say the damage is relatively constant.

100 gemmed Kefka Ultra. Neat.

Probably the coolest Ultra I'm not sure I can really use anywhere. Maybe I can make a decent FFVI dark team with that + Shadow Ultra but yeah I dunno. Seems like that would be weaker than the Edgar + Sabin connection. I don't think Kefka fits on my Dark Magicite team either as he's probably inferior to Mage Dark Cecil in terms of damage and kinda need Vayne's quick casts + overflows and CoD's party doom (and Golbez's chain, obviously)

I swear by putting non matching soldier types. I mean yeah if you wanna one shot enemies it's gonna be harder but imo surviving more matchups is better most of the time. Maybe I'm just skewed because I tend to leave the one shotting to my mages and just want the melee units to not die, generally.

I'm not sure I consider it stalling per se as much as condensing your damage. You play the fight normally but just don't party doom until you've built a bit of bar with everyone and gotten start of fight buffing out of the way so you get a bit of jump start on the pace of your damage flow. Like, you can fire the party doom at about 10s in and you're now playing with a sub 40 instead of a sub 30. To put it in perspective I only ever see Madeen's aoe Dispel on turn 11 of her first phase if I screwed up on timings and got really unlucky with imperils/dual casts, and that's casting CoD's doom break at more like 15s than 10s and considering that Madeen has a 0.01s attack so it's basically hitting at turn 10 thinking in terms of Lakshmi. Now Lakshmi you basically want to get out before turn 9 rather than 10, but yeah, it really shouldn't be impossible to do that even showing a little restraint on your party doom. Particularly since she helps you and puts doom on two of your guys for you.

You have multiple slots so in theory you can potentially have an acceptable alternative move to use before you need to exploit having doom. Like... put damage RMs on Cloud and Riku, launch the aoe doom + Garland Chain just before they fire off their USBs, and it'd probably be workable. *Shrug

Angels aren't really a must they're just the best option on a lot of melee damage units. If you've been focusing lance aniki hard it may not be worth it to plow into them immediately. But if you've got and are using Leon then they're one of the best options for him. Them or bats.

The big thing I would say for melee units (horse/spear/sword) is it's useful to have your support not match the main type. So if you're running Leon giving him something that isn't a horse as his backup is nice as it means he isn't hard countered by lances so much. Tanks it matters a bit less-- mostly cause it's harder to run mixed there since most non-lance units are not viable as tanks... unless you're weird like me and are running like Bernhardt as your tank, but yeah.

I guess with Leon you kinda have to do one of those though because yeah lances or swords will hurt his movement...

Gear isn't often going to be make or break-- SR lvl 30 items can get you through most content. Class progression (though if you're at tier 3 across the board that wouldn't likely be it) and composition (are you running a faction + faction buff or at least using mass protect + attack?) would be more likely. But most likely would be again, soldiers.

Yeah I've literally never had lower level generic enemy units one shot mine. I'm guessing you probably haven't been building your soldiers up well since that's what I tend to notice as the weakness in enemy arena teams and teammates most of the time. You should generally be focusing harder on three of the six soldier classes if for Aniki rather than spreading it out evenly.

At least I know you can do the random encounters that serve as bridges between story missions, if you had any of those up.

I only do the ones that give gold (since you can often clear those in 1-2 turns by abusing teleport and again if you have it) or crystals/tickets. The rest seem like too much of a gamble for the 10 stamina.

Farmed 8 Madeens.

It looks like a shaky clear but it's actually really reliable now that I have the timings down-- my kill rate on the last 7 has been like 7 Madeens in 8 tries. Basically just I just spam Mark of Darkness early + farm meter, then nova Golbez Chain + Ultra, both CoD Bursts, Dark Cecil Ultra, with the help of Vayne's instant cast and bring the pain at about the 15 second mark.

Unfortunately I don't think I can really do it at sub 30 so it's reliably a 35-45s clear. Without that nova potential I think I'd be at risk of timing out with CoD's doom.

Yeah I've had really bad luck with SSR Weapons too. Lots of staves but they're all the mediocre +healing defense debuff thing. Only weapon I've got I wanted so far is the blue orb and the red orb staff of +Int/HP and +Int/Res

Really want some of the bows for Zerida and Varna and eventually Luna maybe (may just keep her flier though)
