| LeonhartFour 07/19/20 2:16:37 PM #305 | Okay, so I finished the final Agatha Christie Hercule Poirot novel yesterday. I didn't read all of them, although I read most of them. If you're into good whodunnit mysteries like Umineko (which draws heavily from "And Then There Were None") or Higurashi, I'll list the books into tiers: Top Tier (Highly Recommend) The Mysterious Affair at Styles (the very first one, so it's almost a necessity, but it's really good, too, keeps you on your toes until the end) The Murder of Roger Ackroyd (My absolute favorite, the solution blew my mind) Lord Edgware Dies (the closest we get to the killer getting away with it) Murder on the Orient Express (it's been adapted into film several times for a reason, it's almost the quintessential whodunnit Agatha Christie book) The ABC Murders (Another classic for a reason, so much misdirection) Appointment with Death (one of the most despicable murder victims in all the books, which adds to the appeal) Death on the Nile (Kept me guessing until the very end) Curtain: Poirot's Last Case (The killer here reminded me so much of the Mastermind from Ace Attorney Investigations 2) Very Good (Worth reading) The Murder on the Links The Big Four Peril at End House Three Act Tragedy Dumb Witness Hercule Poirot's Christmas Evil Under the Sun Five Little Pigs The Hollow Mrs. McGinty's Dead Third Girl Halloween Party Black Coffee Fine Tier (Honestly not very memorable but fine if you enjoy the genre) The Mystery of the Blue Train Death in the Clouds Cards on the Table One, Two, Buckle My Shoe Taken at the Flood After the Funeral Hickory Dickory Dock Cat Among the Pigeons The Clocks Elephants Can Remember Don't know if I'd say any of them were outright "bad," but I'm generally a lenient grader! --- |

I don't think these new ones as good as seasons 1 or 2, but that's a high bar to clear! I'm not a big Komachi fan, but that was a nice moment between her and Hikigaya. It was also nice to see Saki get some screentime here. It feels like she's so underutilized in the anime. --- |
