There's a lot of work out there that just shouldn't be done by humans as humans are too expensive to maintain.

Personally I'm of the opinion that wages don't need to go up per se, but benefits need to exist so a household that doesn't earn enough with a full-time worker gets topped up to a reasonable level. Just fund that directly through a business tax and watch businesses either decide those jobs aren't sustainable, or just pay people properly to avoid the tax.

When you bring on someone and allow them to say their beliefs unchallenged like it's an educational interview you are the one giving platform to that speech. It's why twitter autoflags comments about the election, or youtube auto flags videos about sovereign citizens they are making it clear they don't support the nonsense.

You catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Joe lets people speak (particularly controversial people) so you can make your own decision on how you feel about them. If all you do is chastise people you think are wrong, you'll never hear how they came to their conclusions and learn how to handle them in future.

Life is dull if all you do is follow along like a bleating sheep, by using your ears before your mouth, you see a lot more.

A sewer worker is trained to clean sewers, if a rat shows up, it's not their job to bother with it and can drop their duties to avoid getting bit.

A police officer has to do no-knock raids and is trained to shoot people who pose a threat, they're doing their job as trained and instructed.

Just as there's no means to make a sewer worker grab a rat bare handed, there shouldn't be a means to make police officers do no-knock raids. The problem is with the system and how it is currently operating, not the people operating in it necessarily.

I knew someone who made authentic Cornish pasties for the local farmer's markets, and fuck they were bland just as-is. I'd bite into them then get some kind of sauce happening inside.

Considering how cornish pasties are seasoned mince and potato in a heavy pastry, idk wtf sauce you had in it, but it was wrong.

Because it's bland like most English food. We have roughly 15 "ethnic" restaurants in my city. The English one, while authentic and "high quality", is probably the worst of them. Sorry England.
