Okay, so mostly everything's fully voiced. I heard the narrator and some of the townspeople and assumed everything else was as well.

Some of the generic battle dialogue only had an accompanying grunt or blank phrase with it.

6 was ambitious, but it had to compensate somewhere. Unfortunately, people focused on the cut characters and clones, and Koei just rolled back on everything that 6 did right.

6 had the best battlefields of any DW game and some of the best features, some of which never returned.

9's in a sort of similar spot, sadly. The whole situation revolving around the cut movesets is pretty toxic among the community.

Exactly. I honestly don't see why you can't retire April for the time being and create a new character to fill her role. That would be less egregious. Or hell, keep April and give her a role in the background while the new character takes over as the female lead.

The turtles themselves are fucked up as well. Only Mikey looks okay.

On a side note, I'm FINALLY getting around to an actual playthrough of DW8. The terrible PC port infuriated me, but I finally picked up the PS4 version a couple weeks ago. I'm enjoying it!

Awesome! 8's my second favorite game, right behind 3.

I can't play it anymore because the artificial difficulty's a bit too much for me to enjoy it these days, but I've got upwards of 230 hours in it. 50 hours on a save file that was eventually corrupted during a storm when the power went out. The save I made after the initial wipe on PS3 likely has just as much time on it, give or take, as I've got on Steam copy which is 110 hours.

Also, just a heads up; 8 Empires is good for its creation and additional movesets, but the game itself is lacking compared to previous Empires games. A lot of cutscenes are recycled, some are in black and white, and there's just less to do overall. As an officer, your ruler never really does anything but invade, if he chooses to do that. You can rise in the ranks and become a strategist or commander, but there's no point to it. They no longer give you the ability to give orders. Unless you're a ruler, those are restricted to your S/O, Sworn Sibilings, and children; whom you can give orders to at any time.
