Thoughts on the nerfs

1. Patches
-Completely useless now. Should probably have a battlecry for charge. I say useless but maybe it's still not awful with ships cannon.

2. Corridor Creeper
-Good. This card should have never been printed with its current text. The problem wasn't even how good it was versus control, it was how important it was to have them before your opponent in aggro and tempo matchups.

3. Raza
-Probably doesn't make the deck unplayable but kills it in standard. The problem is that unlike quest rogue, which is essentially a combo deck with a harder to activate combo, Raza/Anduin will just about lose its otk potential meaning its not even going to be a counter pick to control set ups.

4. Bonemare
-With Raza also being nerfed this is probably a good idea. Really seems like it's more applicable to arena right now.

I have a game against a quest mage. I'm a priest so it's very unfavored for me.

I like shuffled a ton of cards into his deck because I used scream THREE TIMES (from lyra) and like it looked like i was going to win. He time warps and he's at one. I have one card left (Shadow word death)

The main problem with lower ranks is that the game has just been around for a long time. Even at upper legend I feel disadvantaged because my card pool is limited (cant run some counter decks).

I opened up my brawl pack and got Malygos and a mountain giant. So now I only need one giant. Maly is nice too.

Also, I hear that some balance changes are on their way. Maybe as soon as next month. Seems like a bunch of pros/streamers have overheard that stuff is going to get hit. Although I've heard mixed reports on what it's going to be.

So I'm playing control warlock versus quest rogue. This is a matchup I think I'm favored in due to like they have to get through like all my taunts.

Anyways he's like completing the quest really quickly and it's like "oh". So I'm on turn 6. I have dirty rat in my hand. He has 5 cards one of them is the boar he's been bouncing. I play rat and BOOM BOAR. I'm like "OMFG I WIN". I hellfire too and completely clear is board leaving me with like the rat and a voidlord. from a lackey i played the previous turn.

So next turn he's like sitting there and I'm like "just concede".

Nope he instead plays the boar he just top decks to finish the quest and then plays it. (He would proceed to play until like the 12th turn or so where eventually he just ran out of resources).

I got aluneth in a card pack from the event. Now I have 4 decks (Control Warlock, Secret Mage, Highlander Priest, and Tempo Rogue) that I can run. I can also run weapon rogue, hunter (kinda) and bad cubelock (I still dont have giants). But I think i'm at a spot now where it's time to horde gold for the next set.

I think I'd rather lose games where I get to actually play the gimmick of my deck than win games where I don't. Went 5-3 with Egg Hunter trying to finish a Win 5 Hunter/Something quest and only drew two eggs across all eight games, one of which was silenced before I drew any way to proc it. Feels kind of bad, would have rather it took another five games if I could have actually made a dino horde.

Oh I know I made an moat lurker nzoth shaman a couple of months ago wueee the only goal was to punish big Druid and big priest. It lost to everything else horribly. And even then it was only like a 60% in the good matchups. But it gave me an excuse to play like ancestral spirit in standard.

But now Im try Harding only tier 1 decks

This is the warlock i'm playing 22-7 so far ranks 3 to legend. Really good versus aggressive lists and completely stomps on big spell mage. It is unfortunately weak to raza priest.

Arena

draft hunter 5-0.

5-0 game. Mage gets vocanic potion from chemist (remember its not a discover) AND a blizzard from a spellstone.

5-1 game. Priest uses thought steal. Gets crushing walls. Also had 2 novas and 2 coldlight seers in the first 10 cards. Also an alchemist. Really if only one of these things don't happen I win the game. Like he could of had 2 novas and 1 seer, or like 2 and 2 and no crushing walls.

Deck went 8 wins. Lost the third time to a paladin who got rat from portal and also had a godly call to arms to block my crushing walls.

Miracle rogue is a deck i ran for a while and its just too inconsistent.

Funny story. I was playing control warlock (no cube) versus a miracle rogue and he shuffed in spiders twice and had 5 of them in the deck.

So he has minions i have minions... I have defile. One of his minions on the field draws him a card. I defile and minions die out comes ALL 5 spiders and they all die during the defile.

Quest rogue is a legit counter deck in legend ladder and tournaments.

I dont think anyone is crazy enough to bring it to like a big event. But to like a qualifier sure.

Match in brawl. I was playing Freeze mage versus Pavels rogue.

My draw was really bad. Both fireballs at the bottom of the deck and Alex was the last card. I had ice block up and the rogue swashed frost lich jaina which gave him two chances of winning the game.

I have 4 HP and he has a 3 attack minion. I have no deck. So all he has to do is attack me with a water elemental and pass. He could also double trade his two water elementals into my 4 HP alex and heal above my max burst (I had 19 and him attacking in once put him exactly to 19).

Well he fucks up on both of them and not only doesnt attack with both elementals but also opts to attack me with his 4 attack auctioneer first.

A lot of the separation between K-pop and J-pop really have to do with their influence. Kpop groups seem to be more influenced by western music and often (at least in the male groups) there are like rap segments and other familiar things. In fact, from what I've heard R&B and rap (and a lot of like mid late 90s to early 2000s style pop) seem to be the main influence in a lot of kpop. Jpop seems to be more of a fusion genre now, but they don't quite have any western equivalent. Shows like K-On and its score is an example of how loosely pop is used in jpop.

As for the girl groups. K-pop has long been cashing in on sex appeal and J-pop is more cute style stuff. The other is that J-pop (and other japanese groups) has rarely tried to venture outside of the bounds of Japan. While K-pop groups seem to almost aggressively attack the western markets now.

Played a bunch of zoolock and such against it. Like the fourth game I finally get a priest.

Play the first gnome on two and mill Raza. For some reason the priest kept playing like he could win.

On turn 9 I defile clear and play the second one... and mill anduin.

The priest still thought he cou... no he conceded.

I finally got to play Azari from my hand. It was against a big spell mage (A deck that has like no card draw). So it hit like 8 cards in the deck. You don't see what they are but I'm assuming Alana, Mediv, and Pyroblast were among them. He got me pretty low but once I remembered that he can't run fireball (or at least probably doesn't) I was able to accelerate out my seals faster instead of worrying about my HP which my spell stones would get me.

THoughts about the second weeks shows.

Death March
-I liked the game type stuff and the way they incorporated UI and design elements. Overall it still seems like something wanting to cash in on the SAO craze rather than try to be a good show. However, it does seem to be up front on that it's like a harem or something so there's that. Not expecting much, but SAO was ruined by direction not concept.

Mrchen Mdchen
-So it seems like the running naked with the book is going to be a thing. Not sold on this yet but I'm not going to write it off just yet. Like honestly not a lot happened but the whole thing where the girl just wants to be friends with some story book character for the entire episode was pretty great.

Dagashi Kashi 2
-A half length series now which probably fits the format a bit better than in season 1. Nothing really impressive but Hotaru is still going to be the main draw of the show. The "your dad is a youtuber" line made me laugh.

Hakyuu Houshin Engi
-Soul Hunter was a semi-popular show back around the turn of the millennium. I saw some of it and never thought it was like that great but serviceable overall. Now, the remake. The animation is awful and the designs are just not good. I mean they fit the source material but it's still... not good. This is a title though that if you've watched a lot of anime that you can probably tell its a remake of an old work even if you've never heard of the original.

-So like after a few minutes of watching this I'm like "this is like DRRR only all the characters are boring as fuck." Not sure if it's bad enough to be an episode 1 drop though.

Miira no Kaikata
-Nothing really special but I did thing the little mummy was really cute. Reminds me some what of the Morose Mononokean.

Hakumei to Mikochi
-Okay concept but not really cute enough and doesn't play the touching card either.

Takunomi.
-Not really sure what this is about. Seems to be about a bunch of post 20 somethings who live together and the shoe revolves around them eating a drinking. I did learn something about pouring beer. It's okay?

Koi wa Ameagari no You ni
-This was alright but I'm not sure I'm into the beats the scene pacing seems to take. Like I understand them (for the most part) but they do draw attention to themselves. Man, do I feel bad for the friendzoned dude though.

Darling in the FranXX
-Really enjoyed it. They did a good job at building a mini mythos for main girl during the episode with a few scenes. Kind of standard in where the show went but there's a lot of future potential. I didn't even know who was doing this but it was pretty obvious after a couple of minutes that Trigger was involved. I think more than almost any title (like except for Violet Evergarden) this has the most to live up to.

Killing Bites
-Okay, so. When I heard of the descriptions I was like "ehh.. not sure. I mean beast wars was cool and all but...". I watched it though and... I don't know. Like I compare it to say zodiac warm Terraformars... or something and I think one thing this really has over it is well two things... two very large... okay the fan service is really top notch here. The action scene was also pretty good to watch. The only real downer is the main male character but I mean maybe things will change. The show also reminds me some what of Sekirei in like the whole not quite human girl thing. I also started laughing when during the fight a narrator just started to spout out facts about the animals. I'd say though too I really like the main girls design overall and in this case that's a big bonus for me keeping this around for another episode.

-Not really sure how much I really got from this. I mean basically we met a MC who thinks that robots who look human should be treated as such and he got a robot girlfriend now.

The main thing the gnome does is it helps you in the fatigue battle with the upside of milling an important card

Any case. I finally made warlock but cant play giants because well... I don't have them. I really want gnomeferatsus too but... dont have those. So I'm playing like a pretty bad list that just tries to get a lot of value and wins sometimes because aggro loses if i get a void lord on 5 or 6 and stuff.

So match versus secret mage as tempo rogue.

Im doing well and have amassed a large board but he has aluneth up and hes been spamming burn so Im low. He used an ice block which I broke and he goes and plays another secret plays more burn and ends his turn. He has two small minions up.

At this point I have four hp. I know the only secret he has left is a second ice block if he plays it thats impactful (I win if he has any other secret). And I know Im safe from rune. However I also know I probably lose if its ice block.

So I test and find out its block. I shadowstep (which was my draw) a awash burgled I played the turn before and I get... Frost lich jaina which I play to go to 9 hp. I also had a tar creeper on the field with two attack from a prince buff. I attack it into a minion and go to 11 hp. I clear his board and end.

The next turn he pyroblasts to put me at one and concedes.

Just had a match where a rogue double princed on 2 and the only reason i lost is because Raza was card 28 in my deck and Shadowreaper was either 29 or 30. Ironically, I win the game if shadowreaper is 28 because I clear his board and I armor beyond his burst. After that my cards would be raza and binding.
