I actually tried "gnoll" first for my final guess but it wasn't in their dictionary so it didn't let me try it. Would've lost this one!

Vulpix but Slugma is pretty close. I like them all except Litleo and Pansear.

I agree that the legendary breakdown is a bit weird. I like most of their choices though (with Xerneas and Zeraora being the exceptions...)

Gotta go with Simisage, the one unproblematic member of the elemental monkeys. Might be Cherrim if its gimmick didn't kinda ruin it though. Lilligant and Eldegoss are okay too.

The puzzles in this game are borderline impossible lol

If you're missing the Pokemon I think you are, you need to turn around right at the start of Jungle Night and play the melody.

Yeah the monastery stuff is very very weak on replays, and tbh it's not particularly strong on a first playthrough either.

Unfortunately it's also the main way to engage with customizing your units, which is one of 3H's big draws. Kind of a damned if you, damned if you don't situation.

This is the first time I've seen Gossifleur and it's super cute, but I have to go with the adorable but pathetic Sunkern. Shame evolution ruins it.

Drifloon, but I really like Pumpkaboo and Misdreavus too. Good group in general, honestly.

I say yes because it's still a marketable electric thing that fits the same basic design as all the others. If it existed in gen 1 to start with I probably wouldn't count it though.

Pachirisu. Wish it evolved into Emolga though.

(Also the gen 2 Pika-clone is clearly Pichu)

I like a lot of these. Ledian, Ninjask, Vesiquen, and Kricketune are all great, but Shedinja is one of my absolute favorites.

IIRC the first time I got Flurry Shot was my first successful run. I felt so OP.

My answer's Combee though.

Bow is my favorite but I didn't play it like lots of others do. Instead of using the special I just stayed far out of enemy range and focused on perfect hitting them with the bow's main attack. It's slow but the damage from each shot is kind of insane, it 1-2 hit kills a lot of enemies.

Basically every milestone in Hades I reached with either this strategy or a fantastic hammer upgrade for the bow (of which there are several).

Drapion is the worst. I always think Solrock is part fire too.

Beedrill I guess. Much stronger group than the last two though.

Ever since I learned about the Butterfree/Venomoth switch it's kind of ruined both lines for me, otherwise Butterfree might get my vote.

I want to say I unlocked Evening Reef before beating the game, but maybe I'm remembering wrong. It's been a while.

It's my fave course in the game though! I wish other courses went with evening variants instead of night. It's a game about photography, let us play during golden hour!

Not really enamored with any of these. Kakuna is the best I guess.

Kinda surprised by the Swadloon love.

Hate to keep voting for gen 1 but it's definitely Weedle here.

IMO stick to 3-stage bugs and do 2-stage separately (or not at all, I'm not sure there's really a meaningful "archetype" there)

I enjoyed using Toucannon in Sun, but I made sure to catch a Pikipek with Skill Link. Rock Blast and Bullet Seed on it were great!

Skill Link is so fun, I loved using a Cinccino with Skill Linked Tail Slap.

It would solve all my current problems but definitely create new ones too. I'd try to receive it anonymously and then dip for like 6 months to let things settle down.

The truth hurts. It's not just people that grew up on this though. Everyone has started to develop babytastes for culture, since with so much access to media, people would prefer to settle for something familiar than to take a chance on something that might be great, because something that might be great also has a risk of being bad. And with so much to read/watch/play/listen to, nobody wants to waste time on something they might not like, or which, (and this is an absolute cardinal sin these days) might be boring. There used to be a time when people would go see a movie like Rain Man "just to see what everyone is talking about," but people these days seem to resent that idea and treat the presence of critics/awards/etc. as a personal attack.

Are great home theaters still increasing though? I thought the trend over the past several years, among young people at least, has been to ditch the TV and watch everything on your phone/laptop.

Edit: Another reason adult dramas have collapsed is because word of mouth has collapsed. Conversation is so fractured and angry these days that no one trusts anyone else. Everyone is assumed to have an agenda (not just political), so why bother paying attention to such things for something like seeing a movie which requires effort to go out and do?

This whole post sounds insanely out of touch. What world do you exist in where word of mouth has collapsed, nobody sees movies/etc "just to know what everyone's talking about", and nobody takes chances on anything new? All of those things are as true now as they ever have been, if not much more so. You can't go 5 seconds on the internet without hearing about the current flavor of the week that's new and different and omg, you gotta watch it!!! Fewer people going to movie theaters is a completely separate issue.

Vespiquen 3* is notoriously difficult to get in the regular Nature Park but is just handed to you in Secret Side Path. So yeah this was almost definitely something they did intentionally lol

I love Lental Seafloor, but playing through it multiple times is pretty tedious due to the Wailord segment. That's my only real complaint about it, top tier course otherwise.

Reef is probably my fave course, especially the evening variant (mild spoilers, an unlock you haven't seen yet).

Beach gets better but it's not amazing. It doesn't help that it's easy to compare it to the Beach level from the OG Snap, which is a classic.

And I am already completely overwhelmed by the requests lol but I'm glad they're there to add more content, this game has some harder puzzles than I expected!

This is probably my biggest "complaint" with the game, some of the puzzles are extremely obtuse, especially for a game that's ostensibly for all ages. I had to use a guide for probably more than half of the puzzles.

Probably not the "worst" per se but I definitely had to force myself to finish Fire Emblem Fates (Conquest specifically) and SMT Devil Survivor.

Has some of my favorite moments and characters in the series, but there's a lot of garbage there too. Pretty conflicted on this one.

I had a pair once and they were pretty good quality. But it totally creeped me out how inside the zipper had a label that said "Lucky You", but the letters were oriented not towards a person wearing the jeans, but towards a person facing the wearer.

Lucky Brand is my favorite but they're pricey. Shout-out to when Costco used to have them for like $35, I should have stocked up.

Blue Lions is the much better route compared to Golden Deer, especially if you care about character development/character quality. It's one of the better stories FE has ever pulled off IMO. Golden Deer gives you more lore but personally I did not find the main conflict there very compelling.

Yup, this game is still incredible. I've probably beaten it 10+ times and I still can never remember where to find the snorkel or the gold and silver rings... Kinda sad having to check a walkthrough for a game I've played so much. It's a lot easier than I remember it being, and I didn't even abuse the Shield Rod this time. You just get so many broken items that even the bonus boss is pretty trivial.

This port is fine but it's definitely not great. They replaced the cheesy dialogue and bad voice acting with... bad dialogue and cheesy voice acting?? It's honestly a downgrade even without the nostalgia factor of the original. They also made the bizarre decision to have every single action in the game trigger the controller's rumble, and you can't turn this off in-game (though you can in the console settings, which I did after like 5 minutes).

Dems should have zero principles during elections and then a lot of principles once elected, instead of the current situation, which is the reverse.
