Gilgamesh is confirmed for tomorrow. I'm not totally sure how hard he's going to be... his HP is close to DB/6* magicite levels but someone else said he's closer to 450 Torment. But I think you only need 7/17 clears to get all the EX lenses (enough for 3 abilities).

Yeah, I still need to do alternate versions of 7 of the magicites. The only one I did both was Titan. I'm just waiting to get enough stuff to make it easier since I don't want to repeat some of the experiences I had the first time with ones like Ifrit, Valefor, and Ramuh. The only one I'm sure I could do right now is magic Alexander, but I'd need to get Golbez's HA and I'd rather save my EX lenses for now.

Is anyone doing the half priced banner pulls? If we were still in the Magicite era it seems like a great deal, but for Dreambreakers it's just pointless.

Lol at that second pull, I hate Steiner, Kuja, and Kefka. The Cait Sith awakening is a nice pull though, and Iris G+ will be useful. Nabaat awakening on the 3rd pull is good too.

I like having both mind and heal boon. Partly because your last couple slots are so marginal when you already have 2 element boosts, 2 element resists, 2 attack boon (or magic), blade ward, and spell ward. You can get like maybe 3% damage increase (less in reality because of capping) or a 15% healing boost. Healing boon affects regenga ticks too which is nice.

Mind boon is mostly nice for recovering from statuses faster (or offensive white magic) and can probably be skipped for most bosses, but eh.

Yeah, I'm completely ignoring some dreambreakers if I don't think I have a chance. I haven't attempted the XIII one yet. Not sure if I will try 3. The one I'm looking forward to is 8 since I am pretty stacked in that realm.

What are you folks looking forward to now? For me I guess it's the 7 event with DB and Cloud's HA. It'll be nice to finally have a decent ability for Cloud, and I have some tools in that realm (although my understanding is that DB is more difficult than most)

No point for me in getting Lightning's HA right now since I only have her first awakening and I'm nowhere close to being able to do this Dreambreaker. I hope I can get her 2nd awakening or sync so I can justify making her HA.

I did get Snow's ice chain on the daily draw today. But since I already have Laguna's ice chain and Celes's ice chain, it's not much use to me.

Amarant and Freya's seem very similar, they both have the elemental radiant shield. Amarant might be a bit better because of the crit boost.

I tried Zalera again but his phase 3 is just too fast and hard to damage for me. I hate to lose the rat tails from that time limited mission.

I got a bunch of draw tickets from the new acolyte archives thing, got Iris and Gladiolus awakenings plus a couple weaker items (Iris USB2 probably the best of them) and bunch of dupes.

I was drawing on XV because it had the best odds of a new sync or awakening for me, but it's going to be a while before I'm able to use these.

Yeah that campaign was super disappointing even though I got Beatrix's sync off it. The only other thing I got was one 5* glint. Nothing else, not even dupes. And having to do all the draws one by one really builds up the disappointment.

Among those I'd probably go for Yuna since it'll definitely be useful for Dreambreaker.

On the other hand I took Rinoa purely because I've wanted it so long and want to make sure he has 30s of ice firepower. Once the VIII dreambreaker gets here I'm going to be so ready!

I think generally you use the sync first, and throw down the AASB on his first instant action (after 2 attacks) if you want to stack the cap breaks and can deal 30k per hit, or on his second instant action if you want to extend the duration.

I knew my FF5 team sucks but I gave a try to Azulmagia to see if I could get the 50% clear with what I have. I think the answer is no, I barely got him below 70%. My V tech is Bartz with his first two awakenings, Lenna with her awakening 2, and then a random assortment of old USBs (I tried Faris, Galuf, and Tyro for the rest of my team). I'm not going to bother with this one for now, I'm trying to save up 500 mythril for the winter fest so I can get the bonus sync selection.

Do you have Tyro's glint? TBH I didn't think Diabolos was that hard once I understood the gimmick. Maybe it's because TGC's sync is just that good, I'm not sure. Basically I needed to make sure last stand was up before Gloomshade Ruinous Omen, and needed to be ready to remove fever dream three times: phase 1 turn 8, phase 3 turn 2 (happens immediately when phase 3 starts) and phase 3 turn 6. I used ultra cure for the first one since it's only 2 slots, and Tyro's glint for the other 2.

I definitely feel like I've hit a wall with the Tactics DB, but there are going to be a bunch of Dreambreakers coming pretty quickly. Some I'll have no chance on for a long time but some I'll at least be able to make an attempt (VII and VIII hopefully). It is a bit annoying there's no new tactics banner for the next 6 months, aside from Orran's relics in the fest, since I feel like I'm just 1-2 relics away from being able to do that one.

What awakening should I pick on the awakening select? I think I've narrowed it down to Mog, Aerith, or Rinoa.

Mog - People seem to say it's great for magic teams. I already have Terra and Strago awakenings so my VI dreambreaker will probably be heavy on magic. And I have Mog's realm chain. The main downside is that the VI dreambreaker is very far away.

Aerith - I have her G+ and USB2 so she's pretty much dreambreaker ready. VII is the 6th dreambreaker so not all that far off.

Rinoa - Mostly would be a favoritism pick. My VIII team is pretty good and I have her ice sync already, so this would help me with having enough damage to finish the fight. And it would help me do magic Valefor too when I'm ready for it. VIII torment is 8th so it's about 2 months away, much sooner than VI.

Lenna is also a possibility but I'm not going to be ready to do that one for a long time since my only offensive awakening is Bartz.

I concluded that I just couldn't do Zelara with Alma until she gets a record board, or at least her USB3. So I did the glint select draw, got dupe Faris USB3 and dupe Yda AASB. Took Elarra's Glint+ with my first pick and tried her as an off-realm on my Dreambreaker team.

Elarra's healing is sooo much better and the HQC makes the run feel so much more powerful. But the lack of Astra slows things down some, especially when the double sleep hits in phase 2 - she was ready to ultra cure Orlandu almost instantly, but Marche still missed a full round due to sleep.

But the team completely runs out of steam in phase 3. I have to refresh the chain around then which definitely hurts. Higher damage reduction makes it harder to break rage, and not breaking rage means more damage reduction. Then the awakenings run out and we're basically doing no damage (except Orlandu - he can deal 2x (5x9999) with his good old EX mode, and 99999 with his OSB). I got him down to 25.4%, so I don't think I'm really within reach at this point. Ramza's damage is pathetic even in awakened mode with a high chain and a realm artifact katana. I guess if I want to keep trying I need to invest in a high level HC.

Also, I have 1 glint selection left so I need to decide what I want. Lenna would be an obvious choice but it seems kinda redundant with her AASB2 which I have.

Until now I've gotten squat from the magicite support ticket draws... today I threw mine at the holy banner and got Beatrix's sync!! I'm going to have to give Deathguise another try and see if I can sub-30 now.

I also R5d the new ability yesterday, and invested a fair amount into record boards for my FFT team. But Alma doesn't have a record board yet so she still dies early in phase 3 and once that happens she can't keep up with healing (she loses her awakened mode). Not sure if I'm going to be able to do this one yet.

I haven't gotten any yet, but from what I read you need to hone them to get good damage out of them. It seems questionable whether it's worth the investment for a glorified AOSB, but if it gets you through a fight maybe it's worth it.

Geez, Zalera is tough. I feel like I could get pretty far if I just had a basic healing+last stand USB for Alma, but it doesn't exist. Dreambreaker Flareja (second attack in phase 3) kills most of my team from full HP. Even though they have reraise from Alma's USB1, it breaks their awakenings/buffs and basically ends the run. The farthest I've gotten is bringing him down to 32%.

Her USB3 might be good enough but there's no way to get it other than drawing on event banner 2 which I already have all 3 awakenings and the chain. It's not even in the USB dream select, as much as I would hate to pay $30 for a single USB at this point in time.

Ovelia has last stand, but without her new gear she can't do any of the other stuff Alma brings - no proshellhastega, no astra, no regen, all of which is on Alma's USB1. I'd need to get her G+ and her USB3 to make her better.

If I do the awakening draw it will probably be for Galuf. I have his Earth chain, I haven't done physical Ramuh yet, and I can use it for the V Dreambreaker.

Dream selects are coming tonight. They took so long to bring it to us that i don't really think it's worth spending money for Elarra's 6* glint anymore... since the top end content is Dreambreakers I won't be using Elarra. Unless it's really important for white Odin or something. So I'm not sure if I'm going to do any of these draws.

Beat Diabolos with my new Orlandu sync, 33.60. Basically just had last stand in place when he used his Gehenna Ruinous Omen and I was able to survive everything else. I think I only used Tyro's glint twice, right at the beginning of phase 3 and after phase 3 turn 6. (I used ultra cure to fix slots 4 & 5 in phase 1). Just need to get three more kills now...

It looks like Zalera's going to be a pain, although maybe once I see an AI script it will be better. (So far all I see is the thread with the move set but no turn order). Status effects are going to be a pain, I have Alma's AASB but not her good USB, Ovelia I have a lot of stuff (and she can deal with sap a little better) but no AASB/G+.

You have 24 days, and have to do at least one per day anyway, so I'm not rushing it. I'll probably go 0/11 anyway. Really wish they had given us like 3 11-pulls with G5 instead of 35 single pulls.

Okay yeah I tried it, 3rd phase is ridiculous. I didn't even know what happened, my party was just dead, I realized it was Gehenna Ruinous Omen from looking at the script. Maybe you need to put him to sleep for that turn and then wake him up after so you can keep doing damage.

I'm using the same team as your original team (with Agrias), I don't have Lightning's holy awakening. And I also don't really have enough reach, all my awakenings basically expire at the beginning of phase 3. Although I did make some mistakes and Ramza wasn't dealing enough damage with Assault Saber and no artifact weapon. So I guess I can try again after record boards tomorrow (and maybe I'll draw Orlandu's sync)

For you, Lightning's HA would probably be a good investment once it comes out since it's the only 6 hits physical holy ability.

What team are you using? I haven't tried it yet, I grabbed Ramza's AASB and his chain from the chain select and used them to beat my last Omega first. Diabolos's gimmick sounds pretty annoying.

Been a while since I did it, but you need to make sure you have plenty of offense left to end things quickly. Two healer setups can help too if you're having trouble staying alive.

Whew, finally dealt with Dark weak Omega. That guy is harder than Alexander. I finally grabbed Sephiroth's HA, I felt silly needing it for this fight, but it's one of the strongest HAs and it'll be useful for the VII Dreambreaker.

Holy still left to go, I guess I'm waiting until Wednesday to see if we get magicite support banners with Diabolos.

Sure, most banners are like that but you don't pull on most banners. Most banners you actually pull on should be better. For example, the fest banners with 3 syncs, you have 35% chance of getting at least one of them for 50 mythril. So as long as you're picking a banner where you want the top 3 items, that's way better than 1/3 chance for 100 mythril.

That endless battle was some easy peasy big rewards. Kinda funny how totally worthless giant scarletite and major growth eggs trigger the popup animation while the stuff that's actually good (artifact stones, 6* motes, EX+ lenses) don't.

I did my 100 mythril on the focused banner. Luckily I got the only awakening I didn't already have, Onion Knight's. I am planning to select Ramza but I'm hoping we get a chance to see the Magicite support banners before I choose... we already know they're changing the holy one (replacing Cecil's sync with Beatrix's) so there's at least a possibility Ramza's awakening could be added there.

Also I need to finish my last two Omega fights, but the dark-weak one is annoying me.

Wonder if Genesis is worth using now. I can make a fire physical FFVII team for dreambreakers with Barrett and Vincent but I hear Ultima Weapon is one of the hardest so b-listers might not cut the mustard (at least till Genesis gets his stuff from the upcoming Fire Chocobo event.)

With historia crystals there's not much benefit to making an elemental realm team, other than imperils. I'd just pull out the biggest guns you have (Cloud and Sephiroth) but admittedly I haven't read up on the 7 Dreambreaker yet.

I got Aphmau's awakening with 100 gems. I'm kinda tempted to pull here because the banner is powerful overall... but I think I'm going to wait since it's weighted towards XV which isn't going to be relevant for a long time. Then I can afford one draw for TG Cid.

Yeah, for me it's:

1. Orlandu Sync
2. Marche Awakening
3. Ovelia Awakening

And I have Alma's awakening so I'm not sure how much even Ovelia's awakening would improve my team. How come you can only bring one, because you're bringing Tyro? In that case I'd definitely rather have Orlandu since I have his awakening too, and 30s of cap break is much better than 15.

I'm strongly tempted to do one more pull on banner 3 even though it means sacrificing a pull on the Tactics banner. As much as I want Orlandu's Sync, I have zero interest in Gafgarrion's stuff and I hear limit breaks aren't great, so there are only 3 top prizes. This banner still has 5 top prizes for me, but none I want quite as much as Orlandu's sync.

15 free mythril! And one of the best fest banners drops tonight. I think I'm going to do one pull (all I can really afford unless I decide to skip the aasb selection draw). This seems like one of the best banners top to bottom - Squall and Lightning AASB2 both combine with their AASB1s (which I have) and HAs for triplecasts with double cap break. And even Lenna's USB would be a big improvement over her previous USBs for that dreambreaker.
