Good to hear it was a salvaged situation.

Generally hope you and the wife are able to get along with the day-to-days in the meantime.

Like I'm a bad person for being ready to move on and not be a care giver to a slowly dying wife.

I believe in some degree or another, everyone thinks about this when someone else is dying, whether it be age, or ailment.

My dad, being someone who was already difficult to get along with I was thinking the same thing. No, in all honestly I didn't want him to die, but the reality is that he was. Spending another 3-4 months to stretch his life with chemo, having to contend with his struggles and needs, and the person he persisted on being...unfortunately that didn't sound pleasant at all. My mom was looking at having to quit her job, me possibly having to stop helping my brother and sell my own car. All this in attempt to contend with a few months and no safety net to getting back to where we left off afterwards to still make a living. This wasn't some kind of hinderance from climbing the ladders in life or prospects of how this could affect me starting a family, this was putting the ability to support ourselves, period, at risk. Thinking like this really sucks.

My uncle is now in a similar place, but on a longer timeline. He can't always catch himself losing his bearings but he's been trying. I do get frustrated about what that takes out of my time and funds. Not frustrated at him, but at the situation. Obviously not trying to make him feel bad, and me getting involved is in return for how much he did for my family. I have a clear bottom line I'm not just going to turn a blind eye to this.

So through that, I've come to accept the fact that being frustrated is inevitable*. You just learn to show it less or in a different way. It's not like your fundamental stance or care for a person changed.

I imagine the people in question know it's a matter of time, and the things they can and can't do. My dad did have the thought cross his mind that he didn't want to become a burden. He had to drop everything before to take care of my grandmother, so he's aware of what it takes out of everybody. I'm sure my uncle's looking at life now as if all he's doing is passing time to watch the sun rise and fall. News and material things, they don't matter. He's absorbing the past more than the future now.

You enduring your wife's process for so long is a pretty heavy weight, and blessing at the same time. Some people never are able to digest and accept the transition to death because they're taking it in under a shorter timeframe. It sounds like you've been able to go back and forth with it as well.

I hope the appointment in Vancouver goes through how you and your wife see fit.

*won't get too into it, but I do believe the biggest target of frustration may be the infrastructure of society itself. Case in point, your long-winded journey in pursuing MAID. Arguably what goes into the resource depletion concerns for me is the US healthcare system and all the other legal work of attempted collection.

I thought this started well, and I'm a fan of just staying to what I assume is his natural voice. It's just that sometimes lyrics and notes get mushed up together as the song escalates. Similar to what I was saying about Lily.

I was in the camp that didn't like the auto tune direction of "Set Me Free Pt 2". That rubbed off like it was adding voices, and detracting from the solo being an exhibition of just him.

Was looking forward to this. There's a bit more cohesion compared to past high tempo singles. Kinda makes me think it's an ITZY song, just with better vocalists all around (and ITZY is already pretty good).

It still has this sort of random pick-and-choose visual setting like most JYP songs. There doesn't seem to be a dedicated concept to follow, but I like that they used some runtime against a simple white background for choreography. Will get played out if reused, but it's one of the better cuts I've seen in their MVs.

Probably in the minority, but I do think Lily really gets to the edge of her range like when she belts out "Symphony". She clearly is trying to stay on key, but I'm thinking despite how much she can get behind louder notes, she might be better off not always pushing that out and hitting it a little more conservatively. Amazing outside of that (literally the entire song otherwise), though.

Not so much I predicted it, or was for/against the infinite expansion, but it makes sense. I feel like it was going to be a "decide as we go" situation. Stance on Twice is still the same, but credit to Jeongyeon working on getting back to where she was. I mean of course aesthetic standards are pretty unrealistic, but as far as trying to stay in such a game with her setbacks, and all the bad noise that probably went her way in the process, she's been at it.

TripleS "Rising" has grown on me a bit more.
Bit of a sucker when a group slips in a song/chorus title in a verse.

Performances/stages are a little bit of a miss for me.
Choreography is pretty decent given the number of members it has to accommodate. Much of the isolation, however, is focused at the center. A high member count already makes it hard to make choreography dynamic across the stage, and lack of lateral shifting/focus hurts that more.

Outfits aren't quite it. Individually they look well dressed, but together on a stage it's a bit mushed together visually imo.

I can't tell if I like Teddy Bear or not. Some parts are cool, others seem off. I like Poppy though, I never really noticed the Japanese version. I probably give StayC girls the benefit of the doubt.

I've been trying to bite my tongue on this one because I don't want to come off like I'm trashing them.
But honest opinion is both singles feel like a loss in direction.

I'm guessing the mild reception to Beautiful Monster (which I generally thought was alright) threw off the production team.

I'm bit of a stickler with bland hooks/choruses, and Poppy kinda threw that in.
The lyrical concept of both didn't seem all that well-vested in, and while this is a Pop industry that is driven by things that catch on in the moment, I do think overall conceptual depth continues to carry more weight it's what makes a recent group I stan what they are, and I don't know what to make of StayC as a group with these two tracks.

But this is just me. It seems Teddy Bear at least netted views relatively quick to some past singles. I could be in the minority that believes the Young Luv album was the actual direction they should've stayed true to, being a vocal showcase and all, Sieun hitting the whistle notes in Butterfly, Yoon blowing out high notes and they seem to back all that up really well live.
But this is a business, and I guess that wasn't doing enough for the group to gain the traction they're after.

I meant to touch on this earlier.

I've really liked their sound. I'd like to believe the vocals are legitimate. Right now they've been able to make good sounding songs, and it comes off like a test/exercise. Just nothing hits me like it's gonna be a staple. That's probably the only thing that's keeping them from spreading like a wildfire. They do need a promotional catchy track to gain traction.

But the idea is really good. I don't know exactly how many attempts at building a global talent (I know they're mostly Japanese though) with a western sound exist, but considering the US has been empty of vocal pop/R&B groups, that's a market waiting to be filled.
