This is not true. They became canon recently when daredevil new series wasnt working so they went back to netflix. Granted, there were a lot of older simulation (or wrestling) games that had a huge jump from the first to the second. And in most of these, the third installment falls a bit short of the second. SimCity, Oregon Trail, WWF SmackDown also stand out, though not by as much.
