I imagine you'd be bored to tears if you picked up Arceus expecting an action RPG.

All Japanese RPGs that aren't turn based are Action RPGs to me.
Only Action RPGs I prefer are western ones (Pillars of Eternity, Diablo, Path of Exile, Grim Dawn, ect.).
I do not like non-isometric action RPGs so yes I would find PLA boring.
Also for that matter, I don't like either of the big Japanese Isometric RPGs (Ys, Zelda).

No, and the mechanic looks subpar.
I decided to level a character to maps. Just got there (took me 8 hours today). This was after messing around with the new endgame on the build I plan to make for the third time now.

I have no idea. Both of them really lack games that would interest me.

That's to be expected. When I woke up I was surprised they weren't done yet. For reference I can get to A10 in about 6 hours, which is pretty slow compared to people who can do it in like 3-4.
I am still playing in Standard. Updated my build from last league with some cool new toys. The new league doesn't interest me right now.

Oh man these things are great. No idea why some of you people were bashing them so hard. Definitely the way of the future and now is the best time to invest since its early in the game. Going to be like Scrooge McDuck diving into a huge thing of money before too long.

Right but I'm saying do you just apply to anything, even if you aren't all that interested in what they do? I ask cause I'm at a crossroads myself where it's like, I'm not happy at my current job, but I'm not sure I'd be happy anywhere. Trying to find that balance point because I feel half like I need to maximize my chances and half like no, let's make this right this time instead of just getting any tech job that'll take me again. Thought maybe you could relate since you seem to put a lot of stock in your career

My background is in linux systems programming so most of the jobs that involve that I'm interested in. Currently I'm a bit hesitant to apply in the medical device field (poor pay, but I have experience) and I will not apply for anything that requires security clearance (I'm not interested in creating software that kills people). The only time I apply to jobs where I'm not qualified is when it's a job that says that they program in Java, but also list python and C++. I don't have any real professional experience with Java, and it's really not my area of experience.
Good news is that so far I have gotten replies from 2 recruiters so far and I will have some calls to set up this week.

15 total for the day.
Back in the day I had a userscript to do the filtering for me.

Good plan. Best of luck with the job hunt. By the sounds of things, you shouldn't have much trouble.

Hopefully. Last time I was looking for a job it took me 6 months, but back then I had the wrong attitude after my confidence was crushed by my previous employer. This time around I have no confidence issues and can actually speak my mind.

I ended up doing the task with the mindset that I am no longer going to put effort into my current position. I am now actively seeking employment elsewhere.
The input I've gotten from PotD and the two other places I discussed this were very valuable.

I ended up applying to over a dozen places.
I got 2/3 of my jobs through Indeed actually (other job was a referral).

Using this site is absurdly difficult with all of the spam listings.

The only mistake I've made is sticking this job out for the past 6-8 months when the writing was already on the wall. If I had left sooner I was promised a position at another company. Now I'm too afraid that that position is no longer available.

I've reached a point where I've been given the choice to lie to myself and accept defeat (and be obedient to someone who is wrong) or to quit my job. I'm physically incapable of backing down and I'm likely to lose my job tomorrow. This has been in my head all day long and I can't get it out. I've been given a task, I plainly do not want to do because I think that no matter how insignificant it is, it's wrong.
There's nothing I can do now but to admit defeat.

Usually what happens when creators move away from the franchise and, rather than hiring fans, they opt to go with people with little or no knowledge.

This frankly makes a lot of sense with Masuda moving away from leading development of the games over the past few years.

I think I might play @Lokarin they did not nerf my build, and may have actually buffed it.
