I use neovim. Nothing beats being able to set up 4 text buffers and 8 terminal buffers in a single window while running it in headless mode so I can remotely attach to it and never lose state unless my development server goes down.

How do you feel about AI art and its ethical and legal usage? How do you feel it in relationship to things like art contests, concept art, art in books, and so on?

I was around a few years ago for that AI that was doing the "undressing" algorithm or whatever that people seemingly forgot about. It is likely the current algorithms being used are being kept back / intentionally being underengineered so that the public does not have a tool to properly create real faces with an AI. For the ethical, all of this technology is inevitable and people need to accept that.
I made a witty comment to my friend today on whether or not an AI is art, and if art created by an AI is art. I have no issue with any of this being classified as an art, but there will always be traditionalists in any kind of hobby and it's not a hobby I'm really involved in. Honestly in some ways it doesn't really deviate from AI generated NFTs except AI generated art has no fake value associated with them and technically everyone can contribute to training the AIs involved in generating the art.

Do you mean sex or just general physical intimacy? The latter seems to be pretty rare in general in anime, unless the relationship is pretty well developed.

Basically, Ruka (who's not the main girl, but her thing is that she's supposed to be Kazuya's (the main character)' boyfriend despite the main character not liking her) has a rather uh, extensive kissing scene that would be bordering on making out if Kazuya was at all into it in Kazuya's home when they were visiting. His grandmother. Even more awkward was that Chizuru (the main girl) was in the other room.
Whole thing ends up being very awkward because of the interactions with the 3 main characters. The show is part harem, but usually with shows like this the non-main girl isn't the focus like it is here.
I could just be stupid. It could be a harem trope or something.

I am happy to talk about anything else at this point. Took me a second to realize what kanokari was (rent a girlfriend in english). I think I dropped the first season a few episodes in. I was surprised to see somehow season 2 has a much lower score than season 1. That's pretty rare in general, since people that don't like the show would have generally not watched a season 2. I wonder what happened, but not enough to watch more of it.

Romance anime just don't seem to be popular recently to begin with. If you look at the next season coming up it is basically entirely filled with shounen with huge hitters in MHA, Mob Psycho, Bleach both coming back and Helly's favorite obsession in Chainsaw Man starting. I've actually seen basically all of the romance series this season not be that popular. Even on the other site I visit none of them are very well received and all of the discussion is going on with both Isekai Ojisan and Made in Abyss S2 which seems to both have massive appeal.

The show I am most surprised about is My Stepmother's Daughter is my Ex. Very low buzz for a show that would ordinarily have a lot of commotion on it for its name alone.

Catching up on some shows and I know none of you care based upon the literal pages of discussion about a game I hate without knowing anything about, but the latest episode of Kanokari is probably one of the rare cases in a romance anime where a main girl character actually gets physically intimate with the MC. And I'm not talking about like Marin and Gojo in the Love Hotel either.

I have a pretty firm belief that to be able to approach the ideals socialists want it has to be a gradual transition, which is not something that most of these people are willing to cope with. Change must be enacted now and swiftly.

Yea I like to read a lot of these speedrunner channels like Karl Jobst just for the glitches and less about the speedrunning (I find speedrunning very boring).

Mew Glitch (assuming you mean trainer+fly glitch) is literally like 20 years old.

I have so much of my daily routine scheduled by the minute and it's starting to really annoy me. Get up at 5. Feed the dogs. Then I'm free to do whatever I want between 6 and 7:30. At 7:30 take care of the dogs again. At 8 I have an hour meeting. At 9 I have a half hour meeting. Work until 5 or 6. Catch up with reading posts and maybe watch something between 6 and 11. Then repeat.

Weekends are still chasing my childhood. Find something I enjoy on Friday, I end up hating it on Sunday. No time to think, I need to fully min-max my free time. No time to just chill out. Realized that this was the first time in months I did my "Just chill out and read threads" thing.

If you all aren't fully aware, I've had the same job for around 4.5 years now and I am terrified of getting a new one because this one is 100% remote (except for the rare time I walk down to the office every 6-ish months).

But lately, I feel like me (and everyone around me) have basically turned into robots. Do the same thing every week. No deviation. No fun allowed. This is not exclusive to my job either. I'm seeing this affect other people around me as well. It also seems to be spreading out to other things like hobbies. FOMO is really big and has been for a while. The fear of deviating from your normal routine is real.

Is anyone else experiencing this? It's basically this nonstop tunnel vision. Always some carrot that you HAVE to chase, and not much you can do about it.

It's ironic because the state of the current game is not (that) bad. The only thing I really hate is the currency-conversion part of Archnemesis and if GGG really wants to fix crafting they'd remove metamods all together. As it is right now, any unique that requires a speciifc high roll *cough* ward *cough* has the item cost 5+ divines. I did the math the other day and the minimum I would need for a build I did in scourge (and have in Standard) would be something like 3000 chaos.

I don't even necessarily believe progression is slow this league, but I didn't play in Sentinel at all. I do not like the new league challenge system as it's way too stacked at the high end compared to previous leagues.

Is it very common for people to stay up that late? I usually go to bed at 11 and wake up at 5 but it seems very common for vtuber streams to go until 2-3am over there.
