That was my main team too. There were enough possible Com/Rav combinations to handle most battle situations, plus both Sab/Syn for fanciness and two options for healing. I never encountered a situation that needed Sentinel anyway

Fighting the giant turtles legit springs to mind (as opposed to hoping for Death shenanigans).

I spent some 36 hours over the last week, though most lot of that was adventures and public events rather than focusing on the story. Now it's on to grinding for higher-powered gear so I can do the endgame stuff faster so I can get higher-powered gear so I can max out just in time for an expansion to come and raise the cap. =P

I'd guess if you only do the main story you'd get through in 6-8 hours but then you'd miss a lot of the best stuff, including the raid that just came out (and that I haven't done yet).

You're about to enter the wider fields. Hell of a difficulty spike but the CP will get you up to snuff before too long. Do some of the hunts - in particular, if you want a grinding tip, once you have Vanille's Death spell you can use that on Ochu, I think, a hunt you can't do straight-up fighting for a while. There's a bit of strategy and a lot of luck to pulling it off but when it works you'll get an item that doubles all your CP gains forever.

I'm not entirely sure about that. All those others had lore-based reasons to return. Crota and Oryx are ascendant Hive, and thus had to be killed in their special pocket dimensions to prevent resurrection permanently, while Skolas was only captured in the story missions, leaving you free to kill him in the Prison of Elders. Atheon and Aksis, of course, we never saw at all prior to their raids, though the latter was at least discussed ahead of time. But Ghaul is just a really strong Cabal, no direct connection to the Darkness like the Hive have and no mechanism for resurrection that we know of.

More importantly from a storytelling perspective, since of course they can make up whatever BS they want if they really want to use Ghaul in the raid (something-something-Traveler side effects) there are a number of references in the game to the former Cabal emperor that Ghaul deposed, Calus. He wants to destroy Nessus and collect its soil to flavor his wine, and he's said to have a ship so large it actually eats planets, something which sounds possibly Leviathan-like. I guess we'll see on Wednesday, but it could go either way.

2/11 on the lucky. A second dupe Platinum Sword for Tactics, bringing that up to 7*, and Rinoa's Cardinal, giving a slight synergy boost to a realm in which I have little.

This is important to know going in. I played them somewhat as they came out and kept watching the main plot resolve waiting for the twist that would set up episode 5 - even had figured out how I expected it to go - and it just never happened, and then they announced the additional three episodes to go with 5 starting a new story.

I never did finish 5 or anything after that, though I bought that expansion pass for the kids.

No knowledge of that needed at all. I guess there might be some references you miss - I don't actually know whether there are or not; I know nothing about that world - but it's mainly built on the game itself.

That doesn't seem right. Looking at that list the partly discontinued/unobtainable trophies are all the ones from Rise of Iron, the final expansion. Not sure why that is though. I think they may have taken out the crucible quests from the game but that should only have affected Supremacy from RoI and nothing else (and that's assuming that one was removed). I thought there was an achievement for The Mountaintop, a long Crucible quest chain from Taken King, but that was just for Moments of Triumph, a timed thing every year where if you do a bunch of specific stuff in the game - the relevant raid(s) on hard, max level, stuff like that - they give you a chance to buy a shirt with your gamertag on it. I only ever got the last one, and that because someone gave me their code. <_<

Edit: Looking into it further none of them are marked like that on Xbone. So I have no idea.

Edit again: I think I figured it out! The PS3 and PS4 versions share a trophy list, unlike 360/Xbone which are separate (you used to be able to share your save across the generations, which on Xbox meant any achievements you got in one would automatically unlock in the other next time you opened it). It's "Partly Unobtainable" because Rise of Iron didn't come out on PS3 (which also meant you could no longer cross-gen your save). So all the trophies are obtainable as long as you play on PS4.

Clan progress (i.e. rewards for your clan doing stuff) is live. You can't see who from your clan is online in-game yet. Word from Bungie is that'll be added "at a later date."

Make sure to get your banner from Hawthorne before doing anything else if you want your points to count.

Reached level 20 on Nessus. Been doing all the adventures before leaving each planet, plus public events whenever they pop up (trying to figure out the Heroic triggers, got a few down pat so far). Guess I should look into what "Flashpoint" means since apparently that's a good way to get late-game stuff? Only a little over 200 so I guess that isn't really my concern just yet.

Played my Titan up to getting the new powers. Then hopped into Crucible where despite being down a teammate we nearly doubled the opposition. I managed an 11-kill streak, something I think only happened once in the first game (and that was in a vehicle mode where I got the tank and drove around blowing up people who didn't have tanks).

Edit: My second match...well, let's just say I'm glad the mercy rule exists. Supremacy was never my favorite mode anyway.

New FF15 update is out. It adds a bestiary, don't know if there's any other changes/additions.

Also the Assassin's Creed crossover is in the menu. Apparently rather than just patch it in like the Moogle-Chocobo Festival (that is how it worked, right? And season pass holders got the bonus ticket as its own DLC for access to the exclusive stuff?) you have to actively download this one as DLC, which as far as I can tell isn't available in the Xbox store yet.

Edit: However, when I loaded my save file to check out the bestiary, I got a message telling me that my Master Assassin outfit had just hatched from my Dream Egg.

Another edit: The bestiary is under Archives in the menu. In case you didn't think to look there for whatever reason. '_'
