My mom has beaten more games than I have. She's finished a ton of survival horror type games.

The last game I played was probably Goat Simulator 3. She'd be able to save me.

There goes my hero. He's ordinary.

A Goofy Movie would be my answer on Films To Be Buried With for the question "What is the film that means the most to you? Not because of the film it's self, but because of the memories, you have of it."

But first we have to rewind a bit.

My bological father wasn't really around. He was a Christmas/Birthdays dad. I didnt really like hanging out with him. He wasn't bad towards me, but he felt like a stranger.

One day out of the blue he calls me up and tells me he's going to take me to the movies the next day and asks me what I want to see. This was pretty huge because I had been dying to see Home Alone. He says that sounds good and that he'll get me tomorrow.

So the next day he picks me up and takes to me to see 101 Dalmations. I have seen 101 Dalmations. I didn't like it the first time. I dont really like dogs. I don't really like Disney films. It's not the film I wanted to see.

I didnt say anything though. I just wanted to get through this and get home.

About a half hour into the film, the projector messes up and the power goes out. I assume this means we can leave. Wrong. We sit there for about 15 minutes while they fix the projector and then they start the movie FROM THE BEGINNING. This couldn't have gone any worse.

On the way home I fall asleep in the car and get woken up by him getting into a minor car accident. I don't remember if we got rear ended or if he rear ended someone. I assume the latter. Either way, it was one of the shittiest days I can remember that didnt involve some kind of death or horrible tragedy.

FORWARD a few years later and my mom has been dating this dude that is pretty cool. This guy would eventually marry my mom and adopt me legally. This is the man I consider my dad.

The first time I remember going out with just him we went out to the mall. He showed me to put fries and coleslaw on a burger and called it a Pittsburgher. I thought he was making it up at the time, but it was good. He bought me a video game (can't remember what). We walked over to the dollar theater and looked at what was playing.

He asks me if I'd be okay with A Goofy Movie. As mentioned before, I'm not a Disney person. Nor a dog person. The Goofy family are dogs, right? Either way, it didn't matter. I was having a good time hanging out. Its the middle of summer and an air conditioned theater sounds nice.

We take our seats and realize that we are the only two in the theater. We act like jackasses and put our feet up on the seats in front of us. We dont bother whispering. We have candy and popcorn.

At this point, it is not lost on me that we happened to stumble into a film about father/son bonding. A happy coincidence. I recall being pleasntly surprised by the film as well. The projector didn't burn out. I didn't want to scream. We didn't wreck on the way home.

I've never gone back and rewatched A Goofy Movie and I dont know if I ever will. Ill just leave that good memory be.

I remember playing PGA...95? On Sega. You could name your golfers. I was a big Shawn Michaels fan at the time.

I named my character Sexy Boy. But I missed a key stroke and just named him "Sex Boy". Then I recreated my character correctly. I didn't know the original wouldn't overwrite.

My Gram, a solid gamer, wanted to play 18 holes against me. I selected Sexy Boy. The screen then gave Gram the option to select "Sex Boy". I wanted to die. Then she said "That's fine. I'll be Sex Boy. I just wish his shirt wasn't that shade of teal".

YEEEEEARS later, we're playing WiiSports. We have our own created Miis, but the game also gives you characters in your friends' Miis. I had some weird shit there. My grandma shrugs and says "I dont care, I'll be Poonani". She hits two homeruns including a walk off to beat me.

I've never had a mostly orange cat I connected with, not that I've had many orange cats. If Nubby had the chance to grow up he might have been my dude. Leukemia sucks.

That grey tab in the background is my vibe though. I've had several female grey tabs that we're socially fucked that loved me. It's almost like I have a type.

The look on it's face is killing me. I want it. I can fix her.

He probably found mold or hornyposting and had no choice.

Heart failure, I assume.

I once rented Call Of Duty : World At War from a Blockbuster. Or maybe it was Hollywood Video.

Anyway, the disc was scratched to hell and and didn't work. I shrugged and told my friend that I couldn't play the 5 year old game with empty servers with him. I didn't have time to return it within the designated window. I ended up returning it a week late.

When I did, I told the dude that it didn't work. He questioned me as to why I kept it longer if it didn't work. I explained. He looked at me like I was a murderer.

Years later, I'm talking at LEAST 6 years later, I'm trying to buy my first house and I hit a snag because I had a ding on my credit report from the defunct company selling the "debt" I owed them to a collector. I ended up having to pay something like 500 dollars in "late payments" for returning a broken game to a dying rental company so I could buy a house. I didn't have the time, energy or resources to fight it.

To this day, I remember the name and face of the person I returned the game to who questioned me and acted like I broke his shitty old copy of WaW and reported it and almost fucked up my opportunity to buy my house. I pray that one day he walks into my brewery.
