I don't get these bouncing off creative ideas narrative. At my previous WFH job, we did conference meetings and I was able to actually contribute and join other groups because my energy wasn't drained on commuting and faking a personality in the office.

I literally was graded on how many visits I did and a visit according my boss was taking out a business professional on a fancy lunch date and demanding that person's customer at the end of the meal

They also did some shady business practices such as bribe business professionals for indirect business.

I got bambleboozed in to a sweatshop boiler room frat house sells job of hell and I finally quit I got a nasty email from them stating that I will not be compensated for my unused vacation time because "vacation is intended to be a benefit for employees" even though they wouldn't let you use vacation anyway, Is it possible to fight this?

is this a joke, burgers require actual skill to cook despite them being common especially without a grill. French fries are a different story. We aren't even talking about the clean up and prep involved. Mcdonalds wins.

Not really. They get cold and freeze to death like everyone else.

The difference is in the aggressor nation not being prepared for it. In both Napoleon and Nazi Germanys case, the two prominent examples of this, they were fitted for summer combat. With the Germans specifically, their vehicles were not suited for the cold weather, and it meant tanks and trucks would break down. Couple this with the intense mud, and you have a logistical nightmare of people without good enough winter clothing and supply issues preventing food and stuff from getting to troops.

Its not that Russia is better at winter fighting, its more that the big invasions we point to are invasions that were not prepared for it.

Point in case, the Mongolians attacked in the winter, and with a mere scouting force, and absolutely wrecked havoc throughout Russia. Theyd even utilize the lakes being frozen to move even more effectively and stuff like that.

Similar thing happened in Finland just before the European theatre of WW2 blew up, where the Soviets were absolutely embarrassed after a brutal winter campaign.

Its not that the Russians are some god tier winter warriors, and more that French and German people wearing summer outfits and with tools not designed for cold weather didnt fare well when they unexpectedly were still deep in Russia when the winter hit. Thats a logistics and overall strategic failure by them, not an indication that General Winter is a major advantage to the Russians.

The Russian winter excuse is a cold war-born huge cop-out for Napoleon and Germany getting their butts whooped by Russia in the wars. I'm not the best at math but I'm pretty sure WW2 lasted more than 1 winter? This isn't an uncommon excuse either, a lot of countries that lose wars like to blame every external factor but themselves. The lost cause scenario for the confederates, exaggerating the enemy's numbers during a loss, the weather, etc. The basis of the story is that the US needed the ex german generals to inform them on how to beat the Soviets since they obviously fought a war against them. Like most people they didn't want to blame themselves so they blamed winter and dead/imprisoned people lol.
