thats pretty good, might sell about 40,000 or so this week at the usual rate these things go. Didn't expect it to do well because of the visuals and the price, I really hope I end up wrong! good reviews all over have to be helping

this game is pretty deep looking.

but man, those are some of the worst dev diaries I've ever seen. they are basically an extended tutorial more than anything. They take too long to introduce the things that actually make the game stand apart.

I feel like I'm gonna get it, and hopefully it surpasses my expectations.

sounds like a good game to put on PS+ for free!!!

I'd agree with your assessment on the shooting mechanics. pretty close to the top for 3rd person shooters. love the way debris flies off the robots, and the limb specific damage.

Wasn't as big of a fan of the level design (a little too narrow and constricted from what I played), the melee combat, the squad mechanics, or the movement. But I could see myself getting it for like $20. But really, I'm hoping it ends up on PS+ eventually >_>

Im not sure if I'm getting it yet, I hope theres a demo, but "lol PSN". It seems fun, but also seems like one of those usual JRPG games thats a bit too long for its own good. AKA, I'd enjoy it for like 20-30 hours but then never beat it.

I do have PS+ though, so if the sale with that is good enough I'll think about it.

I can't watch Azarenka matches. The scream is just so unnatural it's ridiculous. It's a shame too, because she is hot, which is usually all I really look for in women's tennis!

NEVER funny? Really? Not even Story Time Adventures or Crash Time, or any of the great ones?

I only watch Quick Looks for games I'm interested in, so I haven't seen those, but no, I've never found the Giant Bomb guys to be very funny. They do think they are funny for what its worth! They're surprisingly good at their actual gaming journalism stuff, and they try some interesting stuff (like what they did with Bastion), so I still like the site. And like I said, Quick Looks are pretty cool since they actually show off a decent amount of gameplay, gives you a better picture than anything else.

The Quick Look only shows off the first dungeon. In the second dungeon, it introduces the ability to interrupt enemies ala Grandia.

Nice! Though, it still won't have active movement as well, but I'm still glad to hear that

Personally, I don't think they are ever funny, but Quick Looks are generally the best way to get a good look at a video game. It's annoying when they clearly are awful at the game. The Ms Splosion Man one is a great example, but overall there still isn't anything out there quite like a quick look (that comes out as early as they do, obviously).

hmm, I like the idea of having the same items every fight, but only having so many to use (pre-upgrades). good idea, takes away some annoying inventory management in shops and stuff too

from what I understand, while episode 3 will have references to episodes 1 and 2, it will be very easily played as a stand alone game.

They wanted to do this since it's been a while since episode 2, also because of the change in devs and such obviously

and yeah, they went with a lower budget cheaper release with a developer that specializes in that kind of style.
