But even then the game still has its charming moments that break up the monotony. I stumbled across the ghostfence for the first time the other day while I was roaming around in the ashlands and I was like "Wow, that's a sight to see."

Also Morrowind forces you to explore to find stuff. Not like in Skyrim where your character has a GPS built into his/her brain and knows the exact location of every item he/she is asked to find as soon as he/she is told about it.

Doesn't it just get kind of same-y after the 5th straight hour of playing tho

Eh... yes and no. It's a pretty cool world with a seemingly endless amount of lore and places to explore. But you're right in that it suffers from the same thing as every Elder Scrolls game. And that is that after you've been playing for about 20 hours, everything you encounter is just a slight variation of something you encountered earlier in the game.

I've got to get my life put together and I can't do that while playing Morrowind until 4 a.m. every night and then sleeping past noon every day. But I'm going to write down a list of things I had planned on doing next in the game so maybe THIS time when I return, I'll actually finish the game instead of starting over with a new character.

I want to get my life out together and I realize the importance of it. But getting a thorough experience of an Elder Scrolls game had been on my bucket list for some time. If I can do this, then I can forgive myself for never completing the Skyrim main quest and DLCs.

A paraphrased quote by Bill Gates that I'm sure many are familiar with. But what do you think about the validity of this statement? I think he's describing a clever person. A lazy person will just half ass it or maybe just give the task the appearance of being done, if he or she does anything at all.

I guess the biggest flaw of my topic is that I chose the most fleshed out fantas book world to contend with a video game world that has many superiors as far as having a fleshed out world. Among them are Elder Scrolls, Dark Souls, and Baldur's gate. If you want feel free to compare LOTR to a video game world you feel is more fleshed out.

lord of the rings. is the zelda world even that fleshed out? I don't know. I've never even finished a zelda game in my life. only one I ever played much of was the original on nes.

Well the world in Zelda isn't really fleshed out in a sense that there are clear and precise rules about what exactly Hyrule is. But that's cool because it allows each game to be unique. I made this comparison because LOTR is the most famous fantasy world for readers, and LOZ is the most famous fantasy world for video gamers.

I mean a couple of things did make me laugh. Like the frozen guy shattering into pieces after Morty's sister said this would be the moment they told their children about. Then Rick telling Morty he had to turn the shoes on right after Morty fell off the cliff. If there's more humor like that then I can probably get into it.

I got the Invincibility cheat way before I beat every level on 00 Agent. I feel like you did the hardest thing first.

So do I usually. But on this save I did it the other way just because I already knew I'd be able to get the invincibility cheat with enough tries.

I always had the hardest time with the level where you have to defend Natalia while she hacks a mainframe or something, and enemies come from about 16 different directions. Complex? Or something like that I can't remember. Control? I think it was the one right before Caverns.

It's the Control. And while that level is extremely frustrating (As is any level where you have to protect a defenseless person/object in any video game), and took me many tries, The Caverns is just a long grueling level. The Cradle is pretty hard too. I can only beat it on 00 Agent when I lick up and Alec decides to let me "finish the job" sooner rather than later.

Correction: it's been almost 19 years. I played this game for the first time on Christmas of 1998 at my neighbor's house. I was 9 years old. This game was the reason I ended up getting a N64 later, and one of the main reasons I still have mine.

I'm dreading Aztec. But Egyptian is easy as hell. Once you get the golden gun, it's easier than most levels are on Agent.

You're right about the repetitiveness. After you've played the vanilla game for about 20 hours, you start noticing that everything "new" you see is just a variation of everything you saw in the first 20 hours. That being said, I've probably sunken in about 2000+ hours into the game. At least 1000 of them were within the span of a year. I've never managed to complete the main quest, nor do I think I ever will for the reasons I mentioned above. But the reason I've managed to dedicate so many hours into the game is because I keep making new characters. It's fun to play as a warrior that bashes everything in front of you for a while. Then it's fun to play as a mage. The. It's fun to start a new save as a thief that sneaks around your enemies. Then it's fun to start a new character that is some combination of the three. Throughout all my playthroughs, I've found that a thief/mage is the funnest playstyle for this game. But even that gets old after about 50 hours and then it's on to a new character for me.
