Although your comment raises a good point, as my current self is just an alt living in the shadow of my potential self.

I'm at a point in my life where I feel like I need to get rid of my gaming PC. I'm 30 and nowhere near where I want to be with my life. And PC gaming is far too big a distraction for me.

Fuck, I've come to this conclusion right as the game I've been excited about for like a year is about to drop. If I decide to get rid of my PC like I know I should, it means I'll be playing the watered-down game with a console controller (ugh).

I also just deleted social media. These forums will soon follow. I've come to the conclusion that the three big things holding me back from being the man I should be are

1. Video games
2. Social media
3. Being intoxicated

Talk me into/out if my decision, CE. One positive thing about playing DOOM Eternal on the Switch is my old roommate and best friend will also have it on the Switch, so we could take advantage of multiplayer.

Surprisingly no. I've lived by myself flor like a year and a half, and I never just walk around naked unless I just got out of the shower or got done feeding or something.

Sounds like they were part of a group of mutual friends that had gone to Six Flags together. And he wanted to get a video of a girl that was in the group so he could brag to his 4chan buddies. And damn he harasses -- no, terrorizes her in the process. This made me very uncomfortable.

Lawl I never said I expected it to take less, nor did I say I was frustrated after just a few hours.

I said I was frustrated with trying to learn songs with my limited knowledge with the instruments. That's why I've changed my goal to something that I feel will benefit me more in the long run.

I had an uncle (RIP) who taught himself guitar, piano and later the organ and played by ear. He was quite the musician and singer. Dude was an actuary who was also a math wiz and said music and math were related in ways that weren't always obvious to the average person. Sadly pancreatic cancer got him last January.

I could see patterns and rhythm having a lot to do with math. I believe it's proven that listening to Mozart in particular can help you perform better at math.

Every instructional video I've found on YouTube disagrees with you. Sure, being pitch perfect right away is something you'd have to be born with, but most people can train themselves to wing a song and either come very close, or add their own improvisations.

How long have you been trying?
What simple, I mean really simple songs can you play on a keyboard?

Like a couple hours total. Lol. Marry had a little lamb I learned when I was a kid. I taught myself The First Noel when I was a kid just doodling around. I taught myself certain melodic segments of Somebody to Love today, also just doodling around.

I'm tired of giving up on the guitar and piano, because I keep trying to teach myself to play one song at a time. Kind of hard to learn to play even simple songs when you can barely play.

So I decided I'm gonna start teaching myself to play these instruments by ear, so I can pretty much play anything that I can humm.

How long did it take you to learn this skill, CE? And with what instrument?

How did you gays enjoy the half time show?

Nah. In my dream, the room has always been there, and I've just been too dumb to ever use it.

Other reoccurring dreams I have:
- I have the ability to never land from a forward jump. I can hover indefinitely about a foot or two above the ground, as long as I remain moving forward. Maybe I can stop and hover, too. I've never tried.

- I can do infinite pullups, as if I'm weightless or in water. Incredible acrobatic stunts such as Ninja Warrior obstacles are a breeze for me.

I have it often. The new bedroom I find is always empty, and I always ask myself "Why haven't I been using this room for something?" Sometimes I decide to move my actual bedroom to that room, though idk if my dreams have ever included the part where I would actually move my furniture or sleep there later.

Very true. Yes they taught us those properties. I never noticed the applicability of most of them, because they weren't something that was mentioned when the teacher was teaching us new things. We basically just had to define them in the first 2 weeks of school every year, then never looked at them again.

I'm pretty sure weather has been a feature in every total war game.

Even tho in a n00b, I decided to attack Higo at a disadvantage. Im gonna attack in the fog and maybe that will give me the elephant of surprise.

I decided the first battle that I will dedicate some effort to is that which took place at Sekigahara. It seems that Miyamoto Musashi -- the greatest Samurai who ever lived -- took place in that battle, albeit fighting for the losing side. Looks like the game wants me to fight for that side and change history! I'll do it for Musashi!

Shogun 2 is the best historical Total War. The Warhammer ones edge its out for me cause of the wealth of content.

But Shogun 2 is fucking amazing.

How does it compare to Medieval II or Rome 1?
