I personally have a non-sexual appreciation/admiration of the nude human form, be it male or female, as long as they are people who have taken reasonably good care of themselves.

I don't mind any nudity at all. It may sound strange but I find folk more sexually attractive with cloths on. It's a bit like opening a present. Given this I don't actually find nudity in itself sexual for the most part. Although it does depend the context.

Outside of a husband and his wife, behind closed doors, I consider anything else to be lewd, disrespectful, and unacceptable to/for everyone involved.

I'm all for nudity and body positivity. Everyone should be able to appreciate their own form, and express it how they desire.

I could see that...I guess I'm drawing together tasteful and art.

I mean taking 6 dicks on video could be considered a craft and art, but probably wouldn't be tasteful to many.

I feel though that "tasteful nudes" are labeled as such so someone could display it in their home as art without being labeled a pervert or something.

But things don't need to be tasteful to be art.

Are you talking about, say, statues and such? Don't get why you're limiting it to "females" then.

It's fine. My father used to be a professional photographer (he still does it for fun in his spare time, has some really nice photos of empty places that are usually busy due to COVID-19) and so we've had some books of great photographs since I was a little kid, including one of black and white nude photographs of both men and women.

I wish more women would pose nude. I think most women are attractive enough naked as long as they're not fat or old.

That's a good point. If you're deliberately drawing attention to your genitalia then the artistic merit of the act vs. pure arousal is at least questionable.

Tasteful, artistic nudity is more than fine, regardless of biological gender. I feel like we need to scale down the sexual perspective that comes with nudity in general. Will we, humans as a species, manage this as a whole? Probably not, but the need remains.

Maybe we could start in America by getting over the taboo on seeing women's boobs, since other parts of the world seem fine with them. We probably should still encourage people to keep their genitalia and butts covered, if only to keep germs from getting spread.

I find it sexy when you can see a woman's pussy while she's doing some ordinary activity or showing off her entire body at once, though.

The fact that they show more women than men proves to me its about sex appeal even if disguised as tasteful

I don't think there's anything wrong with them being taboo. I do think the over-reaction we get when they get shown is unacceptable. You even show a breast clad but in a sexual manner and you get people screeching for the M rating.

For one thing, I'm not sure how much of that is meant to be "tasteful nudity," and on the other I don't think it's showing off the female form as an equal, human form so much as a tamed animal being used to sell something.

I imagine that would depend on how the picture was shot (or equivalent for other media). If she's doing the splits on top of a glass table and being photographed from underneath, that's obviously meant to be provocative and the focus is on the gaping chasm of love. If she's doing the splits and being photographed from the side such that you can easily see that her flesh curtains have parted if you look, but that's not the focus on the picture, I'd think it would qualify as more tasteful.
