What puzzles me about the Wanaca situation at Winged Cloud is ... why only her? They have two in-house character artists, her and Inma, but only Wanaca is named in the "being held in cult-like conditions" situation. I feel like there are pieces missing to the story.

This might be a good place to mention that I have been considering doing one of these in 2018, but I want to homebrew my own rules and RNG (since I do not like the Hunger Games franchise, though I do enjoy the application that makes these games). Might talk about that more once I have a good idea of what to do.

Hope everybody here had a quality holiday. The highlight of mine is one of those mini-Sega Genesis consoles, the one that has a cartridge slot on top so you can play your old games in addition to the ones on the machine itself. Lots to like about it: The thing is tiny, and it weighs almost nothing, so you can put it anywhere, and the library of games on there is pretty good. Down side: This particular model does not support save data, so the Phantasy Star and Shining Force titles are unplayable, and the sound quality is a little off, but the ups outweigh the downs, IMO (and there are plenty of other avenues for playing those RPGs).

*coughs* Sorry, I'm still a little mad about that. It may have been a completely dysfunctional company, but Borders was pretty much my home, and I loved working there, even when management was sclerotic and the corporate office was insane.

Doesn't mean I forgive people who did nothing but lay about the aisles and read manga without paying for it, though. :-|

That being said, to answer the topic question: My vote there goes to Seven Seas. Slow release schedule, but the quality of their stuff is pretty high.

As of roughly 4 PM (EDT) yesterday, after a month of false starts and close calls, I have a grandson. He will grow up to watch anime and play video games. *nods*

And Steam is having the holiday sale, so I took the opportunity to pick up Little Busters (big discount) and River City Ransom: Underground (ditto). Thought about getting Sakura Gamer, but I have been reading a lot of uncool stuff about that developer (Winged Cloud) as of late, so ... not yet.

Unlimited Sa Ga almost killed the entire series.

And, unfortunately, I am reading that this version of Romancing Sa Ga 2 is a lazy port of the Android version. $24.99 U.S. ($19.99 U.S. on sale) is borderline robbery for that, IMO.

You know what? I agree. Of the superhero movies Snyder has done, that one is unquestionably the best (IMO; 300 fans might feel a bit differently), as well as the most difficult to adapt. I don't think he gets enough credit for what he achieved there.

I'm not as clever as all that. The battery I had in it has failed (cheap Chinese knockoff), so I'm recharging its original battery and using that instead. It still has to be on the charger to play, but at least it won't randomly cut out on me.

My free time has been taken up by Kingdom Hearts, and watching Arrow from the beginning.

Daughter #1 has been playing the PS3 version of KH2, and her play time randomly jumped from 22 hours to 100 hours. No idea how that happened, and there is nothing in the (extensive) list of glitches for that version that suggests that is possible.
