Every day I'll try to get a new poll up in which we rate all the nations of the world on a scale of 1-10. I'll have the results posted below as well. It will be tackled in alphabetical order from A-Z. A 10 is 'I love and adore this nation' and a 1 is basically 'horrific hellhole of a nation'. Some basic facts below.

Fun Fact: In 1995 a law was passed requiring citizens to pay taxes on traffic-lights in their home towns. The residents of Shkodra were taxed, just like all cities, but staged a protest. Their reason? Shkodra has no traffic lights.

6/10 Well, there are two things I know about Albania: It has a bitching flag and totally hot women. Also that exchange student/child spy on the Simpsons was from there. So three things. Four things if you count that I know it was part of Yugoslavia and its people were subject to genocide at one point.

Grew up in a town with a sizeable Albanian population.

They were all literally cousins from the same village back home. Every male was a psychopath. They mostly kept their women as sequestered as possible. Didn't matter if they were Catholic or Muslim. The youngest of their tribe that ran with our generation in the old neighborhood was literally an alcoholic at age 9. The most rational of their cabal from my generation was pretty much a capo and styled himself as an Eastern European Brando from the Godfather in a tracksuit.

Pretty much singlehandedly controlled distribution of E in my hometown for well over a decade.

I've visited that country. Was a trip from Corfu (Greece)
ok country
only 3 million people. Half of them muslim.
They were f***** over by communism for a long time.
Growing tourism.

i was dating an albanian girl for a while then she decided she wasn't actually gay and went back to dudes

5 / 10. Historically, Albania has been treated as a toilet by a succession of different countries and ideologies, but it is starting to find its feet in the post-Communist era. Not quite there yet, though.
