That'd be swell. I have a billion cassettes and all my players are busted. That said, I could just as easily buy another Walkman probably.

Walkmans are great, no doubt. A smartphone cassette player is a little gimmicky but it's also kinda rad. Especially if the app could maybe detect song breaks and fast forward or rewind to a certain song.

Every instance of disregard of an Amendment doesn't need to result in someone pulling out a gun and thinking they need to shoot someone. If police come to search your shit without a warrant let them. Let the courts then do their work.

I guess it seems like too often people use the 2nd Amendment as a blanket that lets them try and get away with anything that has to do with guns.

*I should get to own a small arsenal of weapons in my house - 2nd Amendment
*I live in the country, I should be able to blast my gun off whenever I please - 2nd Amendment
*Someone walks up to me and starts talking shit, I should get to point my gun in their face - ^^^

And I understand that those things may be illegal, but folks are gun crazy and feel that the 2nd Amendment protects them under those circumstances, so they fight the law and raise a ruckus.

At least according to him, it's pretty clear from the historical record that the Second Amendment was added so that states would be allowed to have their own militias, not so that people could defend themselves (the latter being a right that apparently is so basic to U.S. common-law tradition that it doesn't need to be spelled out in the Constitution).

Basically when the media and whatnot report on these types of issues where people are doing it this makes other people more likely to do it too because "everyone else is doing it" its what happened with tide pods, and why news outlets dont talk about suicides.

Which means media talking about school shootings increases school shootings. Congratz OP your now part of the problem your criticizing.

For my HAZMAT endorsement? I have to get a TSA background check. Renewed at least once every 5 years.

Im required to have insurance coverage on any vehicle I own. Insurance which covers death and disfigurement, as well as the usual protections for vehicles and property. Whether I were to kill someone with my vehicle accidentally or intentionally, or if someone were to borrow or steal my vehicle and go out and kill someone, my insurance may have to provide restitution.

All of this, so I can drive a tractor trailer.

Constitution protects the right to bear arms. Okay. I see no reason not to regulate guns much in the same way cars and trucks are regulated. People can still own and purchase firearms to their hearts desire.

Gun owners should be required to carry insurance for each individual gun they own. You want a full blown arsenal? Fine. Just pay the hundreds or thousands of dollars required to insure each weapon, every year. Have all the guns you can afford.

Physicals, including mental health evaluations, every two years. TSA threat assessments once every 5 years. If truckers have to do this, I see no reason why gun owners shouldnt. You dont pass your evaluation, local police are notified and confiscate all firearms until you can provide proper certification showing youve passed your screening.

But muh Constitution!

Hold up. No one is saying you cant have your guns. You just have to prove that youre capable and responsible enough to own them.

But what about people who own guns illegally?

Dumb argument. Many of these mass shootings are perpetrated by lawful gun owners. Not to mention, the fact that you cant prevent all of something bad happening doesnt mean you should do nothing about it.

My two cents. I know some of you will disagree. Im not going to argue. This makes sense to me. If it doesnt make sense to you, fine.

It's stuff like this that's gonna help make things better. Regulate the fuck out of guns.

So my sister walked the streets for a couple days then ended up in a motel where somehow the police got involved. I don't know the specifics... But at that point she told the cops she wanted to go to the hospital and that's where she is right now. Hopefully she'll come out of this, get some decent medication, and stay on it. She'll end up in a resident assisted living house again, but hopefully having to quite literally live on the streets for a couple days was eye opening for her...

I've been on the trial period of Tidal and I've been digging it. It's nice you can stream lossless, but that service is 20/mo. They have a 10/month, and I don't know if they have a free version... Mainly though I like that it's run by an artist. As a music artist, that means something to me.
