I think my biggest grievance (among many) with Diablo 3 is how it went from this awesome gothic semi-horror masterpiece to Disneyland. You can tell how anodyne and PC blizzard has become because of how well WoW did in sales for them.

I agree. There's really nothing dark or gothic about D3. It's still medieval fantasy, but that's about it.

One difference I'm noticing about the two is how linear D3 feels compared to D2. By that I mean, in D2 there's a nice sense of needing to explore the map to progress throughout the game. You're not really sure what's gonna be around the turn unless you actually go there. D3 seems to have lost that. There's too much of a "go from A to B" to complete the quest.

it's okay. i like the weather in the winter but spring through fall is brutal for me because i'm really sensitive to sun and heat.

Yeah, the heat is quite ridiculous. You should check out Flagstaff if you haven't, yet. Especially during the summer... It's up in the mountains and it's beautiful. Plus the Grand Canyon is up there.

Time is a constant but our understanding of it changes and develops.

But yeah, we do all experience time differently, based on how well we understand it. As a child, not only are we still trying to figure out how to measure time but each experience is brand new and we take longer to process and make sense of it. Hence the whole "the days feel longer as a child".

Living an enjoyable life helps time to move faster for you. You're less bored and have things to occupy your time.

Necro was up there without a doubt. That was my first roll for a D2 character. I got to the very end and simply wasn't strong enough to beat Diablo. I wasn't using a guide and had never played before and didn't really know what I was doing. I knew the game was something special when I got the end but literally couldn't beat it. No other game like it.

Strong penmanship will definitely help you leave a mark, but I don't know about the whole "not being acknowledged" thing. Especially with so much communication being digital. I would say as long as you have decent spelling and grammer you're good.

The way I see it, saying that a white person is a social construct is like saying that an apple being a fruit is a social construct. Obviously a society had to determine what an apple is, but it's so widely accepted everywhere that it's become simple fact. I feel like a social construct is something that can change with the times, like the hippie example. There are even some cultures halfway around the world that wouldn't even know what a hippie is, but I would say everyone knows an apple is a fruit. Just like everyone knows the history of white people.
