Akihabara Tour

We will be creating a group. The entire group will be going to Akihabara as a walking tour with some of the themes discussed on first class. During the tour, we will check the co-existence of "Media Contents (Software)", "Hardware" and "Service" influencing and re-inventing of each other creating [an] endless cycle of evolution inside "Akihabara". We will also keep in mind its changes in evolution while we do our next tour in the latter half of this course in spare time. Please note it is not mandatory to join this Akihabara tour if you are already a frequent Akihabara tourist.

Once I get things completely sorted out I should be able to leave it alone buuuut in the meantime it's still taking active work

The thing is if i take too long to update now, the next run will go through so many pages that GameFAQs bans that "computer" before it even finishes. However, if I have a single "computer" running the scan too frequently, while making the individual scans smaller, it will still make that "computer" easily detected just the same. I could schedule a whole bunch of different "computers" to alternately scan at frequent intervals so that each scan is quick and undetected, and no single device is running again for a long time... but that would take a lot of devices to set up so I'm just figuring out what I can get away with.

It also helps to schedule around B8's more active traffic periods -- if there's no new posts made for a while then scans will finish without going through a lot of pages so I can space them out easier.

I could probably make things easier if I log into an account with 50 ppp/tpp... but ofc I'm a bit wary of having something like that on my usermap........ although hrmmmmmm, I can do something about that...... we'll see

I'm not so much a fan of Super's Goku, but the show actually does make him more tactical than ever with regards to fighting. Basically, the Hit fights. Going from Vegeta who seriously did just rush in, Goku was actually figuring s*** out on the fly. A theme only focused more in their rematch.

It's kinda why I wasn't so much of a fan of Krillin's fights... it really seemed to just dumb everybody else down dramatically, but I guess they really needed to wrap things up to fit in two fights. Should've just had one good one imho.


I mean Krillin was portrayed really well, the Solar Flare fake-out was legit... but I really wish the whole fights weren't solely Krillin propaganda.

Pretty much all Supergirl parts of crossovers have been incredibly uninvolved. Like for the major Supergirl-Flash-Arrow-Legends crossover, Supergirl was just its standard episode. Only "crossover" aspects were like random 1-sec universe breachs by Flash that the cast would just "wtf"... and then the end of the episode Flash finally breached through and asked Supergirl for help.

There is a vast difference in circumstances between developed and developing nations. High population =/= developed country. China and India, global superpowers now, are they themselves only newly industrialized countries that still hold a great many human rights violations. Yes there are horrible things happening in the name of religion, but trying to paint this as a "barbaric muslim culture" thing is simply disgusting. When you think of Buddhists, you actually do think of peaceful people that avoid fighting, yes? Go read up on what's been going on in Burma/Myanmar and the killings and rapes of their Muslim population.

If you're going to discuss international news you need a global understanding of what's going on, otherwise anything you say is purely reductionist garbaged based on headlines with no background.

I gotta sleep so I'll just give some in-depth explanation to cover your question. The whole setup works in 3 separate "parts":

- a MySQL database to store topics/posts
- a set of shell & python scripts to read Board 8, parse it, and upload topics/posts to the MySQL database
- lurker site pages read the MySQL database through php and displays it neatly & styled as any webpage would.

Each of these parts are on my web server. They don't necessary have to be... but uh it's simple. For the shell/python scripts, since my server's in Linux I just have a crontab scheduler that runs the master script each day at 0:00, 3:00, 6:00... and so on.

I *can* update manually on my comp (and I did earlier when fixing up polls) but uh it's more reliable to just let my server do it since it's always up 'n running. Actually I was writing up the new version on an Amazon (AWS) instance just-in-case so there's always the option to move back over there.

I know.... I don't know what to do... I try to let her know there's no obligation to do anything, her health comes before anything else of course and that's why I really tried to assure her nothing was wrong with cancelling Sunday's plans either.
